Personal Name: Melanie Lévesque Age: 20 Gender: Female Class: Hierophant Rank: D-rank Guild: Fairy Tail Tattoo: Left Shoulder Blade - Violet Face: Rize Kamishiro - Tokyo Ghoul Appearance Height: 5'8" Weight: 138 lbs Hair: Long & Purple Eyes: Purple Overall: Melanie has a curvaceous figure and delicate facial features. She typically wears her hair down and at times in a single braid. Due to her poor eyesight, she is rarely seen without her red framed glasses. Other than those, the only other accessories she may wear are various pieces of jewelry. She typically wears light colored and loose clothing, always feminine. Extra: N/A Personality Personality: Melanie is a young woman of many traits, her most prominent one being, her being strong-willed, which goes hand in hand with her stubbornness. When someone counters Melanie's beliefs or ideas she will defend them until directly proven, without a doubt, hands down, wrong. Though she would do almost anything to convince people that her ideas are correct, she would never lie to make people believe her. She is too honest to ever think of doing that. Just the thought of doing so would make her feel guilty. Generally speaking, Melanie is a very judgmental person. If someone does only one thing that sets them apart from her social standards in any negative way, she will instantly get a negative impression on them and will typically judge people based on their first impressions. As much as she hates to admit it, she still judges people based on stereotypes. For example, if someone dresses in expensive clothing, she will think that they are rich snobs. Despite Melanie's introverted hobbies, she is actually a very social person who loves to go to parties, chat with others, and overall enjoys the company of others, which is why she tends to study in the guild hall so that she can hear everyone's voices and strike up a conversation whenever she feels like it. Being outgoing, she'll commonly approach anyone that she hasn't met before (in the guild hall at least) and automatically introduce herself, especially if that said person looks to be shy. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: Rune Magic Magic Element: N/A Magic Description: Rune Magic is a magic (as the name implies) that allows the caster to generate a myriad of runes of the caster's choosing to create a vast array of effects that covers the purposes of healing, supplements, buffs (to others), and debuffs. The actual spell's effect is written in the runes, so if one knew how to read the runes they could hypothetically figure out the effects of the spell. However, as the runes are in an ancient language, this is highly unlikely. The runes appear in the air and must be hovering over someone or be near them (right in front, behind, etc.) in order for the spells to actually work. The runes have no element and therefor do not overpower any element nor are weak to one. History History: Melanie was born into a highly dysfunctional family. They lived in a small house between Baska and the Oberon Forest, very secluded from the rest of the population. They weren't always like that, but once Melanie was born, everything went downhill from there. Her mother often became drunk and her father did drugs. It was nothing short of a miracle that they were still able to take care of her. Melanie grew up around this constantly so it became her "normal." However that didn't mean she liked what was going on. Anyone would have felt uncomfortable in her situation, even if they viewed it as "normal." As Melanie was a child it wasn't like she could just leave home. She had nobody to go to. So, to avoid all the discomfort her family put on her, she cracked open a book and began to read, immersing herself in fantasies and fairy tales. But as she grew older, Melanie began to find books, tomes even, tucked away in spots around her house. They turned out to be old books her parents collected from their times as mages. They were all nonfiction and Melanie thought that they were much more interesting to read than mere stories. It was that one fateful day when Melanie was fifteen years old, still too scared to leave the house, but still too curious to see what other books she may find. That day, she discovered a book on Rune Magic. The book was filled with pages rich on information of how to utilize and maximize the abilities of this magic. From that day forward, Melanie didn't stop until she grasped the basics of the magic. Learning her magic came wasn't easy. The runes listed in the book were of an ancient language that was simple in some ways but complex in others. All in all, with her limited number of resources, it took a while for Melanie to even be able to cast a single rune, but a single rune was all she needed to be able to conjure. Once she was able to cast a spell, she packed her things and abandoned her house. She didn't want to be part of her dysfunctional family any longer. Melanie traveled around Fiore looking for a guild, someplace she could call home willed with people she could call family. True family. Fairy Tail spoke to her the most. It was lively, fun, and most of all, they seemed to be very close to one another. And so, Melanie joined Fairy Tail. Once she did, she knew that she had made the right choice. In addition, she was able to access more resources to learning her magic and the language that went along with it. Now only having just learned how to speak the language fluently, she is still a weak mage and has much to learn before she makes her mark. |
