Eiko was still trying to get used to sleeping in Inns and eat rice and meat. She usually drinks tea and eats cheesecakes served by the mansion's maids, but her mansion is too far away from Oak Town. She could enjoy the breeze of the town and Mother Nature's blessing. The trees were taken good care of, taken better care than how her gardener would. The flowers are blooming very well, but these doesn't catch up to Eiko's attention.
She opened her eyes as soon as she felt her body. She was finally awake after sleeping at 3 AM. Eiko is a half-vampire, she usually sleeps in the day; but her humanity makes her sleep in the night. So why not in the middle of day and night? Which is, 12 AM. The people in the inn finds Eiko pretty weird because of how she dresses and how she looks like. She didn't even need to explain that she is not really human, she knew that the people would either think she is just a kid who is a vampire wannabe, or be scared of her. She doesn't like either, so she goes on with being silent instead.
Opening up the inn doors outside with force, she accidentally slammed the door open. The doors were very light for her own strength, unlike the doors in her mansion who is quite heavy. As the door slammed, the birds outside flew away as they got scared. Eiko found that pretty weird, and is, quite normal. Eiko isn't normal, she is more of a weird, calm, psychopath who doesn't really kill others.
Eiko is now walking outside in the sunlight for the first time as she usually walks in night, she now experiences walking below the sun. Eiko is no complete vampire, she can go out without her skin being burned or being roasted. She studied the town of Oak a lot before going in this place. She now knows a lot more than how the other knights know Oak. The streets weren't crowded, making Eiko a bit comfy as she is used to being alone in her mansion. The small markets are covering up the streets; and the only thing that caught her attention is that small market who is selling books and potions. She is quite curious to know what they are selling. That is the only shop where people doesn't visit at all. She walked up there slowly as she doesn't see anyone in the station. Her hat accidentally hit the chime and rang, this alerted the person inside and popped up like how a rabbit popped up from their hole.
"I see you wanted to buy something? I see you wanted to increase your power and make you stronger. I see, I see. I will help you." The creepy man with glasses said. Despite hating at first sight, Eiko kept a calm smile to hide how she already hates that man. "You are a fair looking young girl, you might want to buy this potion to have a fairer face." The man added creepily. "I'm sorry, but I don't need that." Eiko said, smiling with a hint of annoyance. "Oh, how mean." The man said as he turned around to mix more potions away.
But Eiko did not want to leave the shop that quick. She put her hand in the front table and tapped her fingers to make the wood creak. "What else do you do for a living?" She asked with a short grin, showing her left fang. The man was silent for a while, mixing all those weird ingredients with a maniac smile, until he answered. "I deliver potions." He said with excite. "If you'd help me out, I might give you something useful." He added while continuing mixing.
"And what is this, reward?" Eiko asked with the same face and grin, but she tilted her head a little bit to the left. "It's simple. You just need to deliver this parcel." The man said as he closed the bottle caps and put them all inside a box to tape it very safely and surely. Then he put the parcel in the table for delivery. "You won't know unless you take the job up." The man replied, smiling like an idiot. Eiko took a deep breath and sighed. "Sure." She responded with no hesitate and took the parcel with an instruction inside.
Since Eiko studied before going into Oak Town, she already knew where to go. She knew the street names and the marketplaces. Until she is finally in the gate of Castle Phantasm. She looked up into the castle and is quite disappointed. My mansion is definitely better... she told herself as she looked up. She was about to enter the gates until she was stopped by a knight. "Hold it!" He said. "I'm sorry, but we do not allow children to go inside." He added. Eiko's left eye twitched, "Kid?" She asked. "I am sorry as well. But I am no kid." She added, keeping her cool. The knight was a bit suspicious about how Eiko dresses and what she wears. "Well then... do you have an appointment?" He asked while stroking his beard. "Kindly, I do. This parcel is for delivery." Eiko replied, showing the parcel to the guard. He looked into Eiko's scarlet colored eyes and nodded. "Pardon. Come in." He said, giving way to Eiko.
As she was walking in the hallways looking around, she thought that the place wasn't really that bad after all. Until a man walked towards her. "May I help you?" He asked. Eiko nodded while showing him the parcel. The man nodded. "Ah, I have been waiting for this for a week now... I thank you." He said, without Eiko knowing what kind of potion was inside it anyways.
As Eiko left the Castle Phantasm, it slowly reminded her of what she needed to do in Fiore. But she didn't really care that much at all.
