Seiren

Personal

Name: Seiren Vance

Age: Twenty

Gender: Female

Class: Battlemage

Rank: D-rank

Guild: Fairy Tail

Tattoo: Scarlet emblem on upper left thigh

Face: Asuna Yuuki, Sword Art Online

Appearance

Height: 5 feet 5 inches

Weight: 120 pounds

Hair: Auburn

Eyes: Brown

Overall:

Seiren:

Overall, Seiren typically prefers a simplistic yet elegant approach to her appearance. She has allowed her auburn tresses to stretch down to her waist, more for aesthetic reasons instead of utilitarian purpose. In order to keep her locks out of her face when engaging in battle, Seiren braids back to thick bands of her hair and clips them securely in the back of her head. Often her bangs will get in her eyes and she will commonly be seen blowing them out of her face in frustration. Wide, cocoa doe eyes easily give away her emotions to anyone who knows her well enough, something that her father use to call a blessing and a curse. Radiating off her lean figure is a subtle gold glow, which in actuality is the Golden Luster prepared to activate whenever Seiren may call on its power.

Seiren can always be found donning various outfits that combine the colors snow white and crimson. She will soberly tell anyone who questions her color choice that the white represents the purity of the world and the crimson is the bloodshed that evil has caused. Wearing the combination reminds Seiren of the balance and order she must always strive to achieve. Typically, because she wishes to showcase her prim demeanor, her attire will consist of some form of a cold shoulder blouse, skirt, and high socks. If she is feeling broody, it isn't uncommon that her silhouette becomes shrouded with a vermilion cape. Her longsword is eternally fastened at her side if she should ever need to reach it for in a flash.

Personality

Personality: Seiren’s father instilled traits into her that she will never be able to shed. Honestly, she has no desire to remold her personality because that would mean losing a part of her father. His absence is a fact she has accepted, but that doesn’t mean she will willingly trash the components of her life that have been shaped by him. Uri offered here an unusually pleasant outlook on life but Seiren has also developed more unfavorable parts of her personality. She is prone to overlooking the darker parts of herself in order to keep her love of light pure and perfectly aligned.

The traits of her personality that are products of Uri's influence are her conscientiousness, selflessness, and impassioned demeanor. Conscientiousness and selflessness go hand in hand, which are both “lessons of light” that Uri were persistent to pass on to Seiren. She will offer up any assistance she can to someone in need. Don’t try to tell her that someone is undeserving of her kindness unless you want to be on the receiving end of a longwinded speech. Seiren is also constantly on focusing on right versus wrong, actively reminding herself to choose the right option. The only negative trait her father beckoned onto her is an impassioned demeanor. Impassioned demeanor in Seiren’s case means that her emotions override logic and she ends up shameful of the mistakes she makes.

Parts of her personality she prefers to overlook are her proneness to being dogmatic, fussy, and truculent. Seiren’s dogmatic tendencies become evident when anyone opposes her beliefs and “lessons of light.” It is better to become deaf whenever she starts to preach or else an argument will begin. Opposition or opinions that do not align with Seiren will undoubtedly induce an argument, a quirk that all of her friends and guild mates have regretfully experienced. She apologizes immediately afterward for the heated argument but will never show chagrin because of her frankness. Seiren unintentionally presents herself as a fussy character, which can be an unpleasant side effect due to a lack of sleep, hunger, or frustration at pessimism. One should also never forget that it is painfully easy to excite Seiren, especially when a particular idea speaks to her emotions or she is able to offer assistance in any shape or form.

Likes:

  • Nature: It would be impossible for Seiren to abandon her love for nature. Part of her adoration for nature is tied to the fact that during the day all of flora and fauna are covered in radiant sunlight. A warm blanket of sunlight never fails to boost to her mood, especially when she is nestled under a tree or sprawled out in a field. For some reason, Seiren also discovered at a young age that she has an infinity with wild life, a knack she takes advantage of each time an opportunity presents itself. Seiren is constantly making attempts to encourage all of her friends to join her in her outdoor endeavors.
  • Quests: Seiren scoffs at anyone that questions her pure pleasure at fulfilling a quest. If someone in the guild hall doesn't know where she is, it is safe to assume that she is searching the board for the next quest that she is planning to snag. She doesn't fill all of the quests for selfish reasons, instead Seiren takes on the quests for the benefits of others. There is nothing more fulfilling to her than witnessing the gratefulness and bliss that a person experiences when Seiren relays to them that a quest has been completed. She would eagerly take on a million quests if the happiness of those who were formerly experiencing distress or frustration is ensured.

Dislikes:

  • Pessimism: Seiren cannot comprehend the point of living your life in a constant cloud of negativity. To Seiren, life is fruitless if someone doesn't believe that there are an endless amount of lessons to learn with every choice that someone makes. Cynicism and hopelessness do not align with her beliefs and she refuses to accept them as valid form of thoughts. She becomes huffy and melodramatic when someone approaches her with a pessimistic outlook. It is one of her goals in life to spread hope and cheer to the best of her ability, even if she becomes distraught with the mere existence of pessimism.
  • Script magic: Seiren had far too many unpleasant encounters with script magic users throughout her childhood. She does not have a solid fear of script magic but Seiren does harbor a severe distaste for this particular type of caster magic. There was a pair of twins that tormented Seiren, deploying script magic as their weapon of choice. Usually they prodded at little Seiren because of her small figure or lack of a mother figure in her life. It took plenty of motivating speeches delivered by her father to keep Seiren from reacting to their jabs.

Motivations:

  • Emulating her father: Seiren's existence wouldn't have come into fruition if it hadn't been for the diligence and dedication of her father. He may have abandoned her, a fact that took her years to come to terms with, but ultimately it was exactly what she needed to transform into the woman she is today. Her only desire is that she could come face to face with him one more time to show all of her appreciation and thanks.
  • The power of light: As comical as it sounds, Seiren wakes up each morning and reiterates to herself that she chooses light over dark. It is a battle as old as time itself and one that Seiren thoroughly believes in, eternally choosing light over dark. Her father instilled the meaning and true power of light within her, which is all of the more reason that she holds lightness close to her heart. Basically, Seiren equates light to goodness and goodness in her eyes is tied to humility, honestly, selflessness, and morality.

Fears:

  • Darkness: Did you really expect anything else from someone totally immersed in light? If light grants someone clarity and bathes them in a golden warmth, then what damage does darkness deal? Seiren goes stiff and feels fear creep into the core of being when she thinks of overwhelming darkness overcoming her. She never wants to discover what darkness holds and if she ever found out it would mean she has transformed into a shadow of her true self.
  • Disapperance: Each person that she has held close to her heart eventually has disappeared. Seiren has found herself unstable and deteriorated every time that this has happened because of her reliance on others. In others, she seeks constant validation of her existence and the effect that she has in their lives. Her character is compromised each occasion that this occurs and has only led her to believe that every person that matters to her is going to ultimately disappear.

Magic

Magic Name: Golden Luster

Magic Element: Light

Magic Description: Seiren manipulates the element of light into a spell called Golden Luster. Typically the color of the light she uses is golden but in times of potent emotions, her light often reflects her aura. Seiren utilizes Golden Luster offensively by layering light over her various body parts, boosting the overall power of her limbs and creating a more powerful attack. When used for self-buff speed, Seiren throws her hand down to her side, which extends a beam of light out of her finger tips and sends her propelling forward in a burst of speed. Golden Luster transforms into an ethereal pair of wings on her back when used as supplementary spell, granting Seiren more agility and precision as it allows her to hover over the ground.

History

History: Seiren Vance has never known the true meaning of family but that has never been much of predicament to the battlemage. Her mother has been absent since shortly after her birth, hastily packing up her meager belongings and telling Seiren’s father, Uri, that made the biggest mistake of her life coming to Fiore. Uri was never able to contact her thereafter yet he remained transparent with his daughter about the existence of her nonexistent mother. Her father became the sole paternal figure in Seiren’s life and would eventually administer all the values and beliefs necessary for her to grow into the woman she is today.

She never had much of a choice of protesting against her father’s teaching but Seiren happily obliged to his lessons of light. He never dubbed them “lessons of light,” Seiren was the one who decided that the name accordingly fit her father’s values. He was gentle yet firm, encouraging yet grounded, and the most uplifting figure in her life. Her adoration for her father eventually became borderline unhealthy with Seiren focusing on nothing but his words. She was only twelve at the time but Uri understood that if they weren’t separated soon then his impact on her life would become detrimental.

It was a crisp fall evening when Uri told Seiren that he would be taking a trip and needed her to stay in the care of friends of his: the Fairy Tail guild. Seiren’s mother had formerly joined Fairy Tail and in the past Uri had witnessed their kindness and selflessness. He was assured that Seiren would continue to flourish in the care of Fairy Tail and would become the mage he saw in her shining eyes whenever she looked at him. Blindly obeying her father, she walked through the front door of the guild and trilled out, “My name is Seiren Vance. I hope you’ll all let me join! I’ve never seen a fairy!” It’s been eight years since that night and she hasn’t left the guild since.

At the age of twenty, Seiren believes that her life was purposely split up into two distinct parts: life before Fairy Tail and life in Fairy Tail. There are occasions where Seiren's thoughts wander to her father but she knows that he is aware of her location. She has cherished every moment that she has spent as a mage, gaining valuable friends, sharpening her light magic skills, and spending each day celebrating the beauty of life. She bounces around the guild hall as she constantly in search for a new quest and attempting to spread any amount of light she can to those around her, as she has been doing for the past eight years. Seiren may view herself as a positive impact but undoubtedly there are some who cannot stand the ray of sunshine that is Seiren Vance.

Right on the whole you're almost ready to go however you can not use a medium for a magic such as a sword, nor start off with one as a mage as for stacking offensive spells to deal damage along with physical from a weapon that's an iffy subject that was brought up but never confirmed, so you'll have to remove mention of it at least for now unfortunately. you could rephrase your magic in a way for the future if it is possible that you can do it.
