Mei Mei
Mei’s job today was as simple as the job from yesterday. All she had to do was look for a sword in Crocus Gardens, which, to be quite frank, was a huge garden, but Mei was confident, and she was sure she would find the sword in the huge garden. Positivity. She was a very positive girl, and that was all that she needed to do the things she wanted. The positivity probably came from how cheerful her family was. She was raised in a happy family, with parents who always looked on the bright side, so of course she was the same. And she was now at Crocus Gardens, filled with positivity about the request she had taken - the client being Armin, the son of a very well known knight who was now of course not a knight anymore. There was only one thing that bothered her, and that was the lack of detail of the sword’s appearance. There could be literally any sword in Crocus Gardens, but to find the exact sword that Armin was looking for - which was basically his sword - Mei actually thought she could do better with more description of the sword. It was a beautiful place and Mei would honestly come here just to chill out. Thought of course she would really like it if she had a friend or something to hang out with in the Crocus Gardens. So far she had only made two friends who were wizards. One was called Liston and was also from Lamia Scale. Another was called Lacie but she only met her by chance and saved her from a pervert who was also drunk. She was a visitor to Orchidia so Mei knew that there was little to no chance of meeting Lacie again.

As she began to search for the sword, her mind was also thinking of something at the same time. She had been looking at the companion market for a while now and although she had not found a perfect one that she would not hesitate to go and buy, she did find some companions that seemed friendly and useful in battle. It was always nice to have a friend who could also somehow protect you, or help you fight off danger. Although the girly side of her forced her to get a cute companion, her other side told her to get one that she could sort of rely on. Not entirely, but to some extent. She was a big fan of cute or adorable things, and would not think twice about buying something if she found it extremely cute, but there was this sensible side of her that always guided her into making the right decisions. Right now the cute side and the sensible side were having an intense debate on what companion she should buy. Mei was also scared that the companions would run out and there would be none left for her when she finally decided on what pet she wanted.

As she was deep in her own thoughts, she caught sight of something wagging in front of her. Head rising immediately to check what it was, Mei stood up abruptly upon seeing that it was a dog. The fact that it was a dog alone did not make her so alert. What made her suddenly feel so interested and alert was because of the fact that there was a sword between its teeth. The dog was also alerted, putting his guard up immediately when it noticed that a human was probably going to chase him for his find. A moment later, it began to run. So of course, Mei started to chase after it, running at full speed. The dog was fast. Well, of course it was fast it was a dog after all. Mei was on the verge of getting on all fours and running after the dog, but she was not capable of running in that way, so she just tried her best to close the gap between her and the dog. It turned back frequently to check if its chaser had reached him, or was about to reach him. Mei grunted and groaned as she chased the dog, not wanting to miss it in this huge garden. That had to be the sword Armin was looking for. It had to be. She had a lead and she was not going to let it go so easily. After a while of running, the dog was cornered, and a grin of success appeared on Mei’s face. She then snapped her fingers and whistled, trying her best to make the dog return the sword to her.

“Good doggy, good doggy,” she said in between whistling. The dog was hesitant at first, growling softly and backing up against a wall. But after a while of Mei whistling and snapping her fingers like crazy, the dog finally gave it, dropping the sword in front of her and walking off somewhere. Mei sighed, picking up the sword immediately so that no other could steal it from her. Now all she had to do was return it to the knight. According to what was written in the request paper, she was to visit Armin as he would be waiting for her and his sword. Mei kept the request sheet in the back pocket of her jeans and headed for their meeting point. When she arrived, she spotted Armin immediately. It was not hard to spot a knight among the general populace of Crocus. The uniform was the first thing you would notice. “Hello Armin, I’m Suyin Mei. Here’s your sword,” she said with a smile and handed it to him. Armin made sure that he was seeing the right sword, and when he was done checking gave Mei a wide smile and handed her the reward, saying thanks. Mei grinned, happy to hear thanks from a knight. She sort of looked up to him. Well she looked up to knights, in general. Maybe she would become one someday.
