When someone purchases the Magic, they are purchasing essentially just the spell that is listed. At that point, the capability to cancel out a spell is simply that do you have as much MP available as what it would cost to cast the spell. If they exerted 100 or 200 or even 400 MP to cast a spell at you, do you have as much MP to counter that? Now, as far as I know from previous discusssions regarding this Magic, the Intelligence statistic does not play a role outside of perhaps outside actors. So if someone has enough Int that a spell that would normally cost 200 MP costs instead 160, I think it may only cost the user of Nullification Magic 160 MP as well. I'm not positive though and would have to check that.
There are no spells to train, so the Sentinel spell training reduction is irrelevant. And it's actually the only instance in which a user that has an offensive-oriented class (such as Battlemage), can have what are in essence, defensive-oriented abilities.
So to answer your question, would it benefit from the reductions of Sentinel? No. There are no spells to train so training costs are irrelevant and the cost of removing spells is contingent instead upon if you have the required MP to cancel out a spell of that rank.
