Personal Name: Astrid Graves Age: 16 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Class: Adventurer Rank: D-rank Guild: Guildless Tattoo: Black; on the nape of the neck Face: Yuzuki Seo from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun Appearance Height: 5 ft. 2 in. Weight: 124 lb. Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Overall: Astrid Graves' peanut brown hair ends right at her shoulders; she always ties it with a scrunchie to prevent the naturally wavy hair from becoming an enormous knot. Shaggy bangs frame her face and frequently fall into her eyes, shielding her face. Astrid is usually seen wearing her plain school uniform and can be occasionally found wearing a crimson colored jacket. She is never seen, however, without her worn and beat up black sneakers which had faded to a tattered charcoal hue. With a naturally slack and neutral face, Astrid Graves has the unfortunate propensity to drive away potential acquaintances; she refuses to apply any form of makeup to change her features for anyone but herself. Her almond shaped eyes seem to give her a bored and sardonic look that is only contradicted by welcoming syrup colored irises. Although Astrid is rather short for her age, she makes no attempt to look taller than she is; in fact, she has the tendency to slouch and look even smaller in unwelcome situations. Astrid has an incredibly average physical build and, paired with her mousy hair and brown eyes, she has the ability to slip away and get lost in a crowd with ease. Extra: Astrid has a single tattoo of a small star on the middle finger of her left hand. Personality Personality: From a first glance, Astrid Graves seems to be a rather lonely person. Upon a closer look, however, one will realize that Astrid doesn't look lonely; she is lonely. Astrid is rather quiet on her own, but with a companion or acquaintance, she is more outspoken and sociable; she has kept this trait from childhood to adolescence. Astrid had learned from early on that if you speak and act without knowing more about the situation, you can get hurt or embarrassed. This results in Astrid's refusal to talk to anyone unless approached first. This often leads people to believe that she holds herself above everyone else or that she simply hates other people; in reality, Astrid desperately wishes for a friend won't leave after a while and can talk to without lying or being guarded. Unfortunately, people like that are extremely difficult to find, forcing Astrid to continue being friendless. When you get Astrid talking, it takes a lot of work to wheedle any information about her personal life out of her; when faced with a question about home life, Astrid tends to shut down and fold in on herself. She relies on heavy sarcasm, vague sentences, and deadpan tones in order to hide her thoughts and emotions; Astrid believes that people who wear their hearts on their sleeves will always be the easiest to hurt. It's not that Astrid has a stone heart. In fact, Astrid feels very strongly; if she loves something or someone, she will do everything in her power to keep them safe and sound; if she hates something or someone, she will look upon them with the utmost loathing. The way she acts is always influenced by her heart and her morals can be swayed depending on the situation. Astrid has the ability to talk her way out of any situation and lie as easily as it is to breathe. She has built up a web of lies and, though rarely, she can find her self caught in a fib. This resulted in the general distrust of Astrid; people were often told to beware her silver tongue. During a genial and lighthearted conversation, however, Astrid is often very witty. Her sardonic attitude is sometimes welcoming and amusing. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: N/A Magic Element: N/A Magic Description: N/A History History: Astrid was never an exuberant child and often hid behind her words. Her childhood was a simple and innocent one; although she had not come from a wealthy family, her mother and father always made sure Astrid had all the necessities in life and a few comforts here and there. She was always closer to her father than her mother because he was much more lenient than his female counterpart. Then, everything changed. Astrid was only nine years old and was playing with pebbles outside of the local pub after her weekly walk when she noticed her father and a group of his friends enter the building. Astrid wasn't worried about her father and decided to head home. Astrid's first thought upon entering was that they had been burglarized. The windows were cracked and a small wooden table was overturned; papers were scattered everywhere upon the floor and had many numbers and red markings on them. Shattered bowls and glass sprinkled the floor in a million sparkling shards. In the middle of the room sat her mother sloshed, crying, laughing, and screaming all at once. The smell of alcohol was everywhere and the front of her mother's blouse was stained with the horrid drink. Astrid tried to speak with her mother but was shoved away at every attempt. She rushed out and tried to find her father only to see him staggering out of the pub with his friends. Astrid was instantly reminded of her mother and hid behind some bushes. Her father's voice became louder and angrier as he argued with some men and Astrid whimpered but watched on. Soon, her father was shoving the other man and they were throwing punches everywhere. A flash of silver ended the fight though. Astrid gave a horrified shriek as her father's body hit the ground in a crimson mess. her cry scared off the drunkards and they ran away. When she delivered home by the authorities, her mother had cleaned up enough to look presentable. As soon as the door closed, her mother turned on her, bellowing accusations. Why hadn't she stopped her father? Why did she leave him at the pub with his friends? This was all her fault. Astrid could never understand why her mother and father had fought in the first place; it was just a bunch of useless arguing. Her mother continued to drink her sorrows away and Astrid would soon learn how to stay out of trouble at home. She could never touch a drop of alcohol without throwing up and becoming panicked. At age fifteen, Astrid Graves dropped out of school to do odd jobs and help support her mother. She could never leave her mother who was addicted to alcohol Who else would love Astrid or take care of her? No one. Astrid agreed; mother always knows best. Reference: N/A |
