Tenshi †
There was apparently a time where kids were allowed to just be kids. They were allowed to make mistakes, have fun, push the boundaries and get away with it. Not completely get away with it, perhaps that was a brass overstatement of the situation. They weren’t necessarily sent to jail. They were given a slap on the wrist, a firm talking to, and explained why they should never do it again. The explanation, more often than not, came in the way of a warning. Threatening them with jail time, or telling their parents. Not jail though. There was no need to ruin someone’s life over a prank or a mistake that they’d look back on and regret for the rest of their life. Such ideas had been long since lost though in todays current world. People were quickly given the hammer of justice, yelled at and ostracized by the public. They were not allowed to move past the mistakes of their youth, and instead were chained down by decisions that they might not repeat if given the opportunity to redo things. It was a disappointing state of affairs, and one that Finn luckily had never had to experience. He was raised in an area far away from the scrutiny of man, and his mistakes were known by few other than Jake himself. Indeed Finn had lucked out in where he was born. After all, he was quite the trouble maker. Not necessarily one to adhere to the rules for any situation, if he had been bound by his own mistakes he’d have never become the man he was today. That was something that he had a discussion with when he met the individual known as Kenji Maki, an officer who was Hargeon’s most well known and liked individual of the law. Though Finn had not known him, he apparently knew of Finn due to the fame he had earned through Blue Pegasus. The guild was the pride and joy of the town after all, Hargeon famous for few other things than their restaurant and beaches. For such a beautiful and powerful guild to call that place their home, it was a good opportunity to both bring in income and give the residents something to be proud of.

Kenji Maki was quite the social person, outgoing and funny in his conversation with Finn. They instantly hit it off, and Finn figured that he could think of this guy as his friend. It was during that exchange that they began talking of how things were handled in most towns, where Finn explained his childhood in comparison and Kenji seemed almost relieved to hear that come from his lips. The officer explained that he had an issue recently with local kids, and that he didn’t wish to punish them horribly as he was suppose to be. Instead, he wanted to teach them a lesson and scare them out of doing graffiti, or at least give them a damn good reason as to why they should stop without ruining their lives forever. For that, he brought up the topic to Finn and wanted to know if the guild member could think of any ways to stop them. He wracked is mind for a bit, then decided the best way would be probably to just talk to them rather than scare them. As Kenji had said himself, Finn was relatively famous in Hargeon. He should be able to talk to them, especially with who he was, and explain to them why they shouldn’t do what they did. After all, they were still people. They could be reasoned with. So Finn set off to meet them, and eventually found them mid paint. They could tell that Finn was not an officer and didn’t stop, so instead he just walked up and talked to them. After about two hours of talking, he had given them better ideas of how to express themselves and promised to talk to Kenji about it. Collecting their paint cans in a bag, he let them go with a wave and found Kenji somewhere else in the city. Giving him the cans, Finn explained the compromise, and with some light conversation they parted ways. It was a job complete.
