It was quiet at this part of the streets of Magnolia which Alice wasn’t used to. She ordered a coffee to go and was waiting for it to be prepared. It was quite sunny for the part of the year and she loved the red and golden leaves everywhere but the streets of Magnolia were clean and thus empty. Which bothered her and she wasn’t entirely sure if she should ask the vendor what was going on. Jupiter was still looking at some point at the end of the street as if he heard something but even with her cat ears: Alice didn’t caught anything. Hecate on the other hand didn’t listen to anything as she was trying to get a sugar cube, which Alice pushed a little more away from her Glaceon before she finally asked what was going on, telling that she had not been in Magnolia for a couple of weeks. The Vendor didn’t seem to be happy about the whole idea where her question was about, but with a sigh explained to her after handing her the coffee. ”Since a month or two there is a boxing area in Magnolia. Apparently it is a thing, it died down a little however there is now a new champion and I don’t believe he is a very nice lad and that’s why people are watching. Hoping he would lose.” the man shrugged and turned around after she gave the jewels. Still she thanked him for the information and motioned for Jupiter and Hecate to come along, she would check it out as a citizen of Fiore, not as her job of a Rune Knight. While she was slowly walking towards it, thinking everyone must have already arrived, someone passed her in a hurry and she simply asked the person to wait, ”Which way is it to the boxing area?” Something small that she had not asked the vendor, which had been stupid. The boy stopped and looked her up and down, ”Hello Alice,” She blinked and just noticed that she had met this boy before with Konstantin, they were on a job for Khalash, ugh the cursed dagger. She still had not really forgiven the old man for that. ”Oh hello.. Tyler?” She was definitely not good with people their names and she had only met him once before, it was difficult but he gave her a thumbs up. So she was right. He explained to her the way to the boxing area as if it was nothing. It looked like he was on his way to there as well. Jupiter stood close to Alice, as if he was afraid the boxing area would suddenly be here but she was sure nothing would happen. She had met this guy once before and he had been an honest fighter. While she thought about that, she noticed the not so happy look on Tyler his face, she thought he liked fighting and watching it must be interesting right. She wondered for a second if she should ask what was going on.

In the end she thought that it couldn’t hurt to ask. ”You look concerned. Tell me what is wrong, if you will.” And so she listened to him, that he was a big fan of the boxing area but that the champion had been cheated out and this guy, the new one in there: Roderick, he was an arse. He definitely needed to be defeated and sooner rather than later because his cockiness was getting annoying. Tyler eyed her suddenly and she stared at him with a raised eyebrow, ready to say no to his request. ”Alice would you,” but he couldn’t finish his sentence as she shook her head. She didn’t want to fight, after the disaster what happened in Hargeon, obviously the kid didn’t know. ”Would you be so kind to show me the way?” she shouldn’t have asked what was bothering him, it only brought trouble. She followed Tyler, whom looked disappointed and she eyed Jupiter for a second who didn’t seem to be interested in the boy. Once they arrived at the boxing area, she heard a man shouting that no one would ever defeat him and that they should kiss his ass. She stopped in the middle of her walking and it took a while before Tyler noticed and she stared at him, as to ask a silent question that this was the new champion he talked about. Tyler understood and nodded and she could imagine that this was getting out of hand with a guy like that. If only she had requip, she would be able.. but she noticed no one was walking with weapons and she realized it was called a boxing area, that meant simple strength. ”Oh stop the puppy eyes, fine. I’ll join if that’s possible.” she said it in a hushed whisper, no one had to know yet. And she seriously hoped that they would have proper clothing, she didn’t want to throw her sweater off and show a small little peach bump. She quickly followed Tyler to the board where you had to sign up and she talked shortly with the man that arranged it. He didn’t seem to be very happy about the new champion as well when Tyler said that she would challenge Rodric, he looked her up and down and nodded while a smile appeared, ”Sounds good.” which she didn’t understand much about, shouldn’t a guy like this be neutral? But she simply signed up and let her companions with Tyler as well as her sweater. Who cared, no one would see it, she was convinced of that, or well not for the full hundred percent but she tried to forget. She would go for a warming up and moved her muscles by rolling her shoulders, stretching and so on. She had to be quick, and actually she wished that she could first see this guy fight but Tyler had given her some tips before they split up and she was sure she would be fine, in the end.

At some point it was obviously Alice her turn and she felt at least a bit warm thanks to the warming up. Once she stepped into the ring, people called out for her, which was surprising, harshly said: most men were for another man, not for a woman. This Rodric must be a very annoying person if they simply voted for the stranger. She turned to look towards Rodric, with his pretty face but it did her nothing and she quickly took off her engagement ring and pocketed in her booth, so she wouldn’t lose it and don’t do foul play, which apparently this guy wanted to do with pleasure. ”Watch me chick, you will be down in 60 seconds.” he said with a very nasal voice and trying to sound taunting, she more found it sound disgusting. She simply raised her eyebrow, if she was this easily falling for such a thing, she would never have been lieutenant. But let’s not tell this guy that. ”Good 60 seconds ey?” she finally said, what he could, she could do easily, ”Oi, Tyler! Put a timer on 60 seconds. I want to see it.” as if to tell that she didn’t think she would be able to be knocked out in 60 seconds. She eyed him as they walked around each other, the starting sound hadn’t ring yet. But she eyed him, he looked like he had a lot of power in his fists so she should avoid that, but thank god, she had no armour to slow her down. A good thing from not using Requip, she had to remember that. The bell rang and he came towards her, but not as fast as she had expected and she simply took a quick step aside and with quick steps made her way towards the other side of the ring. She would taunt him, not with words but with actions. Because he was so slow, he needed time to reach her, which gave her enough time to avoid him. Even when he was close she could easily take three steps away from him, she even pushed him once. He became angry and she could only grin because of that. This was the whole issue? She had noticed the power behind his hits, but he didn’t hit her. He mostly had hit the wall at this point. He seemed to be very annoyed by the idea, and she had to be very aware that she didn’t find it too funny. She didn’t know what he was doing but at some point he seemed to gather his energy and strength to give a very hard punch, but she simply ducked out of it because she saw it coming, [color=#ff9900]”You should work on speed. She said as she sat hunched down, underneath the fist that just hit the wall again and she gave him a punch in the stomach, which made him stumble backwards and gave her the right space to stand up again.

He seemed to be tired and the hit to his stomach wasn’t nice either and she channelled her lieutenant aura, which made her hair swing in the wind that didn’t exist in this boxing area and her strength grew and she looked at him, with a very fast action she hit him to chest and she wasn’t sure if he was really hurt or that he was too tired as well but he didn’t get up and he had his eyes closed in pain. She waited till the counting was done and went to find her ring in her booth and put it back on her finger and caught the sweater that Tyler threw towards her. ”Sixty seconds. Bullshit.” she muttered as she walked to the exit of the ring but there was a whole noise about her winning and she turned to look around, she had not thought it was such a big deal but apparently it was and obviously she couldn’t help but smile. Someone brought her the champion’s belt and the prize money. Which she accepted gladly, the jewels that was but she turned to look at Tyler and nodded to the silent question again. ”I think the first champion fits way better into the ring than I.” so she handed back the champion’s belt and simply walked out of the ring with the jewels to reunite with her companions and Tyler who thanked her again and again and she simply waved it away, ”Eh, he was too cocky to my liking.” and the two of them laughed together. She went to buy some water at a stand and talked a little more about how Tyler was doing and how she was doing but she left out a lot of information. ”You should visit again and fight the first champion. He was a better fighter.” Which was easy according to Alice but she couldn’t promise much but she nodded and simply said sure. She was sure there would be a time that it would be a possibility. She would say goodbye to Tyler not much later and would head back into the city with Jupiter and Hecate. She didn’t feel like actually doing much and thanks for not having to fight hard, she also wasn’t very dirty or sweaty. She simply wondered what was the best idea to go around for the rest of the day. She wasn’t entirely sure what to think or say at this point by her travelling but who knew where the rest of her family was, apart from Lacie. The only way to find out, was to go and try to find them again although it was easier to find Selena since she could ask the Rune Knights. In the end she headed back to the bed & breakfast where she always stayed in Magnolia, she deserved a bit of a rest after this right? She was glad to have done something active for the day and been able to help someone.
