Her last spiritual mission wound up taking a lot of time, the better part of a whole day... Unlike the ones she solved in Hargeon, the spirits hadn't been her unspoken clients; instead, she worked those jobs from the opposite end, the human end. She wouldn't exactly call them fun, but they hadn't been that big a hassle either, and she felt somewhat happy for that if nothing else. But now that she'd solved that case, she had to still had to deal with all those spirits nobody had bothered to make requests over. She knew they were around, she felt that very same vibe in the air as she did when she walked around in Hargeon, on the same two nights when she had those unexpected close encounters.
But tonight, things would be different. For tonight, she planned on heading out to look for them, instead of the other way around. Good thing she had packed that sexy black dress when she travelled North to Orchidia, on some level she already knew she might need it, possibly even before she actually arrived at her destination, Worth Woodsea.
That was the main reason she packed it for, of course, the very reason why she spent so long picking out the perfect Halloween dress. Maybe once they had a proper party she'd pick a different one for variety's sake, but today, this would do rather nicely. So she headed out under a somewhat cloudy, defenitely windy moonlight. She needed no more than walk a single block over the empty cobblestone streets to once more run into something spooky... Two ghosts hovering in mid air, childish in shape and form, all but frolicking around one another with equally childish giggles. They looked pretty happy though, why would they have trouble crossing over to the afterlife? Alisa wound up lingering there as she eyed them with interest. The two of them eventually looked back at her with returned interest, and then finally looked at each other, nodded, and headed off, motioning for Alisa to follow. She did, watching her surroundings yet not really worried about the spirits themselves. She felt no troubling vibe coming from them, but neither did they tell her what they needed... That was, until they started talking to each other, just loud enough for her to overhear it... Even assuming they cared about her hearing.
"It's that time of the year sis...! Think this one will do it?!"
"I hope so! Hopefully one person in this city hasn't lost all sense of humour yet!!"
"I'm sure she will! And we'll finally get back at all those damn losers!!"
They kept talking to each other like that, and soon enough the crystal mage had a fairly decent idea of what they needed of her. Despite visible scorn in their voice as they discussed all the other towns people, how much they hated them for they were treated in life. Thankfully, their idea of retaliation consisted primarily of pranks, they didn't appear interested in killing their victims, however, otherwise Alisa would have probably refused to help them at all. As she had all control of the situation, she could make the pranks physically harmless, but thoroughly humiliating, satisfying the two spirits without hurting anyone.
