Saewoo then hopped off the arena, allowing the contestants to come up.

Finn wrote:Making his way up the steps, Finn would walk up to five meters away from Maarschalk. Immediately, Finn entered a fighting stance. His right leg slid back, his left leg remaining forward. Both his knees bent, Finn shifted his weight from the balls of one foot to the other. He'd remain light on his feet, consistently shifting his weight so as to lull himself into a rhythm, and allow for instant reaction. His left arm would lead, out slightly in front of his body with his fist pointed towards the sky, parallel to the top of his chest. His right arm remained bent inward, his right fist also pointed to the sky and equal to his shoulders in height.
Maars wrote:The moment that the referee gave the starting signal, Maarschalk stepped onward. Not in a very cautious pace, but a fast and effective one. He moved fast enough to gain enough speed to be at a legs length away, more specifically; his own legs length – this was a meter-
He begun the first step of this low kick with his optimal footwork. His right foot was planted on the ground, firmly and steadily. Simultaneously whilst preparing his other leg for the outside leg kick, although whether the low kick could end up as an inside leg kick depending on the movement of his opponent. There was one worry on Maarschalks mind before he’d begun the right move set to initiate the low kick; were it checked by his opponent the fight might be called right away; although his Lamia Scale passive might give him a breath of wind to fight for a bit longer. The advantage that Maarschalk had in this was that his opponent strictly seemed to focus on the center of his body – and not his eyes. Had this still been the case; Maarschalk would deviously watch the leg he attempted to kick. Had he sensed that any motion would come from that kick – or his arm above it, he’d shift his course of actions. Any subtlety that his opponent might show that would indicate that he was going to catch his leg, or try and use his leg to check it; he’d avert his course of actions – make his low kick into a bluff. He could achieve this at any moment of the kick, albeit the bluff would lose it efficiency should it happen right before the kick connect. With the amount of force that was inserted into the leg, it could quite easily break the leg of his opponent if it received improper reaction.
His upper torso was prepared to swat away any punches that were headed towards him. Maarschalk considered the possibility that his opponent would counter his low kick by using a kick himself, the perfect defensive is an offensive bla bla bla; his arms were prepared to deal with it – by intentionally lowering his arms a bit, so that his fists are parallel to his opponent’s neck.
His shoulders were relaxed, ready to allow his arms to move into any direction with ease. Any action given by his opponent be it defensive or offensive would cause Maarschalk to react by using his arms; certainly, if he found the opportunity to use them in an offensive matter – the way he used his arms offensively was by utilizing his left arm as his dominant hand; and his right arm as his non-dominant. This meant that he used his left arm for the ‘heavy’ punches, and his right arm for the fast and precise punches. Striking a solid defensive was something he avoided; like hitting his opponents elbow, or other blocks that would harm himself more than do damage to his opponent were things he’d avoid. His torso was almost fluid, capable of moving forward and backwards if necessary to ensure victory. If his opponent dared to throw such defensives, he’d attempt his best to divert the striking location to somewhere that he could reach without overextending while also doing the most damage. His eyes were very tactical, his past-experience as a doctor has provided him with enough knowledge of the human body to know the vital places without having to actively think about it. His reaction timed had been accustomed to the face of battle already. His mind and spirit was prepared for anything. Even if his opponent had moved back, to the left or right – which had the potential to result in Maarschalk missing his strike, he would dance along with his opponent; by being water – and adapting the fluidity of water. His low kick was the only thing that could make Maarschalk lose momentum, had his opponent side-stepped it or whatever. Balance is one thing that Maarschalk prioritized. There wasn’t a moment for his opponent to take advantage of his footwork, the foot that he had planted on the ground before delivering his low-kick had rotated slightly outwards so that the energy gained by his other leg was at its peak.
The shadow that Maarschalk casted over his opponent had disappeared. The clouds that covered the sky began pouring with rain as the battle ensued.
His initial left leg came at an angle, to deliver a low kick with a maximum amount of power he needed to arch his knee in a way that would support delivering all that power without harming himself.
Finn wrote:As Maarschalk planted his right foot, the monster of a man would begin a leg kick with his left leg and foot. However, being that Finn had no way of knowing for sure what Maarschalk would do in the journey leading him to the boy, Finn’s actions would not begin until after the kick had begun. Maarschalk’s left leg would be lifted off the ground already, in the beginning stages of its journey towards Finn before Finn reacted. Luckily, due to Finn’s legs being far faster than Maarschalk’s, his reactive defense would still move with plenty of speed.
As Maarschalk lifted his foot and began the kick, the mans entire momentum was behind it, adding to its destructive force. If this kick had enough force to break Finn’s leg, then it certainly had enough force to backfire and break Maarschalk’s. Finn would put his weight on his right foot, which was back, and lift his left leg up while twisting his waist slightly into Maarschalk’s kick, turning it so the front of his shin was facing the front of Maarschalk's shin in a way that the two shins would connect head on, causing a direct impact rather than deflection. Lifting his foot on the blocking leg up to flex the muscle in front of his shin so as to counter the leg kick with his own shin, the goal was that Maarschalk's leg would break on impact. Finn would make sure his leg was at a ninety degree angle, and his check would add momentum right back at his opponents own- This would damage Maarschalk more than it would actually damage Finn. The timing of this block was as Maarschalk's began the actual leg kick, meaning the giants right leg and waist were already likely turning into the kick- Much too late to cancel that momentum that brought him forward at a fast and effective pace.
During this, Finn's arms would also be taking defensive measures. Due to the body motion required of a leg kick, Maarschalk’s body would certainly be turning into the kick. This would mean that his right arm would be on the inside, an extremely odd angle to throw any blows. Even his left arm would be prevented from any true hooks, withheld likely to jabs or straights. Regardless of that, Finn would act as if the opponent could strike from anywhere, with any timing. One could never be too safe in a fight of life and death- And to Finn, that was precisely what this was.
Moving his right hand back, he'd bring his upper right arm at a slight angle in front of his chest, his outer forearm kept on the outside and his hand opening, palm towards his face and fingers all together. His hand would be only inches outside the right side of his face, though it didn't obstruct Finn's vision of the mans shoulders or the majority of Maarchalk's arm. This would allow him to see any lefts fists that Maarschalk would throw and deflect or block any punches that the man would throw with that hand. His left arm would extend sideways over the front of his body, ready to go down or up dependent on either of Maarschalk's fists or his legs in order to deflect or block any blows. His hand would also be sideways with his hand open, palm facing the arena at a slight upper angle to deflect the leg if it came up at him or redirected, as well as to be able to easier redirect any punches by the giant.
As the legs collided, Finn would not be pressed back or altered. There were two things that could have happened now on Maarschalk's side. Either his leg would break, causing him to drop to the ground due to the break, or his leg would simply suffer some damage from this contact and Maarschalk would have to place it down.
If Maarschalk used that time to throw any of his punches, Finn would react accordingly to use the hand that was closes to the incoming punches to deflect the punches, rather than block them. This would be done by using his hand or forearm to collide with Maarschalk’s wrist or forearm and change the trajectory of the incoming blows away from Finn. Assuming those blows were at Finn’s head, face or neck area, Finn would also be moving his head away from the direction of the blows- This included moving his head back or forward, left or right, up or down if required. Once Maarschalk’s attack ended, with or without the additional punches, Finn would immediately drop his leg back down after the block (either in front of him or behind him, depending on Maarschalk’s following actions), and assuming that Maarschalk did not throw any extra attacks or make extra movements that would cause Finn to react accordingly. Finn would, in the case of being able to reset his stance, immediately raise his arms back up and resume his original fighting stance, including his steady shifting of his weight and bobbing of his shoulders. Finn's eyes would remain on the fighters chest (or simply the area of equivalence to his chest depending on how he moved) so as to remain aware of any techniques that Maarschalk may throw at him. Regardless of what happened to Maarschalk after the contact of their legs, be it him placing his leg back down in any position or his leg breaking and the man falling as a cause, Finn would be ready to react to that accordingly.

But not my legs. I’d like to point out how this made it impossible to see what my leg was targeting. Given, perhaps that it was possible and that you did catch a glimpse before the hit connected, I’ll proceed, under the pretense that further semantics (ie figuring out that I was going for your right leg instead) are impossible.Since Finn's left leg was leading, the leg kick that Maarschalk was aiming for was an inside leg kick at Finn's left leading leg. Simultaneously whilst preparing his other leg for the outside leg kick, although whether the low kick could end up as an inside leg kick depending on the movement of his opponent.
My actions didn't depend on which leg of yours was leading, it depended on what your movements were. Since you didn’t describe that you put your left leg forward upon seeing me move; it means that your left leg was leading from the start. That meant that before I initiated the movements for my kick your leg already was leading – meaning that there had been no movement. That is, until you raised that leg. Which allowed me to alter my course of action, and instead go for the outside leg kick.Finn would put his weight on his right foot, which was back, and lift his left leg up while twisting his waist slightly into Maarschalk’s kick, turning it so the front of his shin was facing the front of Maarschalk's shin in a way that the two shins would connect head on, causing a direct impact rather than deflection.
This position, in combination with your hand blocking your view of what my legs are targeting, allows for my hit to properly connect with your right leg.
Since you are also only standing on one leg whilst my leg connects, I claim my victory.
Tldr -- my actions were based on movement, and not the position of your initial leg, which allows me to alter my action whilst also ensuring that you cannot defend from it.
Finn wrote:he's trying to say my right hand makes it impossible to see his lower body
Despite the fact that I specify that it's to the outside of my face, not in front of it
He tries saying my left arm (bent over my body) further obstructs my view
When that's simply not the case, my eyes would look over the arm and see the lower body
He's trying to say that he reacted in accordance to my leg check
Despite the fact that I specified that my leg check is in reaction to his motion of an inside leg kick
And he's trying to say that last second, he extended his waist to aim his kick for my back right leg
Which 1: My leg is over a meter away, as it was slid back in my first post and he's a meter away from my left leg (with a self described 1 meter long leg of his own, putting my right leg out of his reach)
And 2: My left leg is moved to the right to block the inside leg kick, as Finn percieved it to be as such. Even if he's aiming for my back leg, his leg should by all accordances collide with my leg check as it would still be intercepting any kick to that right side, regardless of if he somehow elasticizes his leg.
Even if he tries to extend (or possibly could) extend to my right leg
He should still be colliding with my leg check
Which would break his leg on impact
He's also trying to say that I was not looking at his upper body, meaning he could combo after (which, while that shouldn't matter if I'm right and I check his kick/break his leg, I specified twice in my post that I'm looking at his chest/chest area to keep his lower body in peripherals)
