So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | Serenity was far from evident within the pale white walls of the clinic which was brimming with patients and citizens arriving for a daily checkup. The bombarding scent of antiseptics evaded her nose. Cries in pain of children or whining of adults was evidently audible as almost every individual present there, except the staff, fell into a minor state of panic. It was recommended that everyone present in the town got themselves medically examined as similar symptoms of illnesses appeared in several people. Hence, the Knight too decided to get herself examined. Not only was it solely for the purpose of being able to do her work properly, but also because she felt the urge to feel updated on the current events within the town. As she sat there on the cool, metallic chair, leaning against it as lilac irises stared at the bright white, plain but calming, ceiling of the average sized clinic. The back of her head touched the wall as her arms draped over her chest, crossed above the grey cloth of the dress that adorned her body. "Miss. Queen." It was the call of her name that snapped her out of her halted thoughts which were occupied and influenced by the surrounding scenarios that her senses could feel despite her eyes being unable to see them. Shaking her head, she gracefully uncrossed her legs before hauling herself into a standing position, letting the golden locks flow down her back. Following the nurse who had called out her name, she strolled into a large white room and sat on the swiveling chair as she was instructed. Within mere moments, a older man with a rather kind looking face appeared before her, "Good Morning-" Glancing at the file on his table, he looked back at her with a smile, "Ms.Queen. You're a Rune Knight, I see. It's still better to get yourself examined." She simply nodded her head, hoping to be done with it quick with the wanted results that she anticipated since there were many waiting in line after her to be examined by the same doctor. The ID that hung loosely from around his neck read the name 'Gerard', allowing her gaze to fall upon it before she was asked to stare straight at the man, who flashed a bright orange light into her lilac eyes. Following this were a few other basic procedures as he checked her heart rate and observed her tonsils to ensure the lack of presence of the bacteria, streptococcus. Once he was done, he seemed rather satisfied as he declared her to be a healthy individual. A breath that she knew not that she was holding escaped through her nose as she bowed in thanks, hoping to pay for her medical bill and leave but she was stopped before she left. "Ms. Queen. Do you mind if I ask you for a favor?" Indeed that was surprising but she ended up saying a simple, "Yes," in reply as he then declared his busy situation to her, asking her to deliver some medicines for him. |

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | Following him into his office, he proceeded to describe the difficulties he and the staff faced and why he required her assistance. "Ms.Queen, as you can see, we're very busy within this clinic because of the unknown disease that has been spreading. I've been trying my best to find a solution and the rest of the staff is too busy examining all the patients that visit this place. However, we can't ignore all our other patients but at this rate, we are being forced to. I would really like your help." He looked down upon the two white bags that rested on the polished brown desk. Hauling them up and handing them to her, he continued, "Could you please deliver them to these addresses? The dosage and timings are already mentioned, I just need you to directly deliver these to patients. Their names are mentioned in the paper below." Accepting the bags from the doctors, she proceeded to look inside, glancing upon two boxes filled with capsuled that were given to the patients as medication. She pulled out the piece of white paper before reading through it, allowing her mind to race through the streets she had already visited and luckily for her, the addresses mentioned on the sheet were those that she knew of. "Oh, and of course, you will be rewarded." Although she would have done it regardless, she couldn't deny that the reward did provide her more motivation within her monotonous, lifeless body that day. Without another delay, she set out to do the simple task of delivering these prescribed drugs to their rightful owners. Strolling underneath the warm gaze of the sun, she felt the gusts of wind brush through her hair as they caressed her exposed skin. her lilac eyes often found the need to glance back down upon the black inked writing on the piece of white paper. For a moment, she had forgotten just how horrible she was at directions. Heaving a sigh, she walked over to the nearest individual who appeared to be useful. Asking for the directions, she followed them, taking more time than she would have otherwise as her head turned from left to right, looking upon each house as she entered the city. The name plates that decorated the front of each house made her shake her head in refusal as all she found were names unfamiliar to her. Alas, after approximately ten minutes of searching within the same street, she found the house as she walked over and run the door bell. Moments later, the wooden door opened to reveal a young lady, "Mrs.Martin?" Once the lady nodded her head, Xandra handed her the white bag containing her medicines, making small talk with the woman before taking her leave. The same procedure repeated as she spent an additional twenty minutes searching for the next customer. Once she had found and delivered the medicines, she returned to Gerard. Entering his office, his face beamed with a smile as she nodded, indicating the success of her task. "Thank you so much. You were a big help." Handing her the reward, he bid her farewell. |
