Alice was on her way to sit outside and enjoy one of the rare moments of the weather being nice, it wasn't that warm which was alright for she always took her leather jacket with her for as long as it fitted and she needed a bit of fresh air and to stretch her legs. She surely gotten more energetic but also not all the time. She also felt more close to the little peach but she couldn't show it in public, had she decided a couple of days ago not to bother by people knowing even though the Council had warned her, she was no longer able to hide it properly apart from wearing bigger sweaters and this leather jacket, which was already getting a bit difficult to close, she had not closed it now but the blouse made it difficult to be sure.

She didn't want to sigh deeply but it happened, she was quite content with being in Baska, though she wouldn't mind being in Orchidia as she wanted to make the place feel like home but she would see, it would probably come and go and she might be able to stay in Orchidia for a very long time when the little baby was there. She looked at the people around her and the companions that were with some of the people. Jupiter was sitting next to her on the bench that she was using while Hecate was simply underneath it, napping a little. Because of Kon and Alice their nightmares, the Glaceon had tried to stay up and helped them when needed, even though Alice was sure she didn't dare to wake up Kon if needed, it was something that she tried with Alice. Although she wasn't allowed to jump on the bed when Kon was there nor anymore with Alice her condition and it seemed to annoy her, poor Hecate, Alice thought when she looked at her companion.

Selena hahad not been in Baska for too terribly long. Glad in many layers comprising of shirts, jumpers and jackets, Selena looked far larger than normal. In her right hand, ehich was almsot blue with the the cold was grasping onto a large ornate ring. The ring had small daggers glowing a bright yellow, all poonting in one direction. The rimg seemed to pointing at Something to anyone looking, looking like a magical compas of sorts. Although she usually kept the rimg within her clothes, Selena decided to leave it out since it was the only item she possessed that coild produce even a small amount of heat. Selena soghed as she walked through the town very slowly. Although she was somewhat warmer than usual, she was more annoyed than usual too. The sun was shining but to Selena it had no meaning. It simply too bright, causing a Glare no matter what way she turned her head. To Selena it was still freezing.

Selena had eventually reached the point in her travel where the ring went dead. It's small golden daggers flopped dead once more, leaving the ring no different than any piece of jewelry. Selena let the ring go as it flopped on her chest. Although it was a ring She wore it around her neck, like a pendant of sorts. Selena knew when the ring had stopped glowing she was within reach of what she was looking for. Despite this she was still surprised to see her cousin sitting on a bench surrounded by animals. The sudden rush of relief flooded over Selena like a wave of hot air and before she knew it she was moving towards her. "Good to know you're alive." Selena would say once she was on earshot, making her way up to her cousin. Although the words were somewhat harsh Selena looked anything but.

She heard a voice, someone's voice that she just like a handfull of others would always recall: Selena. And she looked up to see her cousin who said something in a cold state but looked rather happy to see her indeed. "Selena? What are you doing in Baska?" It was surprised and the young woman stood up quickly to greet her cousin with a happy smile on her face, she had also sound like she was not happy to see Selena which she was. She definitely needed one of her best friends to talk to. To share the news about so much other things. Which was maybe smart to say, "Oh I'm so glad to see you Selena. I definitely feel a bit cut off from the whole world and mostly my friends." And family, which she only considered Selena of course but well that didn't change much, "So much has happened and there is so much to worry about and I can't talk to someone much about it, I feel like I'm bothering people with everything and.. oh I'm rambling a bit too much aren't I?"

She had perhaps been cruel, she had not seen Selena since Era and only her cousin had known that she had run off towards Hargeon to stop this evil guild that they fought together before to win the attack against Blue Pegasus. She had not been able to tell anyone in that month that she had survived because the Council had not allowed her to speak to anyone, yet had not hold a funeral so people would perhaps guess that she was alive. After that she had worked, figured things out, taken up the promise to work with Judina but had send that letter to Selena to take it from her, the only contact she had send to Selena, it was rather cruel indeed, and instead of finding her cousin to tell her she was alive, she had just gone on a trip to Magnolia, to Orchidia, Nanuq and now Baska. She went to sit down and stare at her lap, so to avoid Selena her eyes, "I'm sorry." she had only realized now, how mean she had been.

While walking up to Alice, Selena listened to her cousin. She felt a warm feeling begin to bubble within her but simply ignored it. Selena noticed that Alice was much more surprised to see her, almost unpleasantly. However her words told a different story. Her cousin stated she was so glad to see her, however now she was speaking a little too fast as if she was nervous about something. Selena was somewhat skeptical but she knew Alice had her reasons. Selena reached Alice had apologized. Selena had her own smile on her face, simply over the moon that she had found her cousin, but it soon turned to a shocked frown as she realized her hand was flying towards her cousin's face. That being said to call it 'Her hand' was a bit of a stretch as it was covered in a slimey substance. Weather or not the hand would connect or not would depend on her cousin's reaction, but if it did hit a loud wet slapping sound echoed throught the area since it was mainly diserted. Selena looked aghast now holding her wrist tightly to prevent any more sudden movements. The Slime had been so quiet the past month she had forgotten about it for the most part. Selena began to speak, however it was not her own voice that came out. Instead a more high pitched voice came out but despite it usually sounding sweet it's voice contained fury that must have been bottled up for a long time. "Oh so glad to see her?! So glad she found you so you didn't have to lift a finger?! So glad you put her under so much stress and paranoia I bet! And your sorry for all that!? Well I'll make su-" Selena's body shook itself as she closed her eyes. The Slime that was spreading thoughout her body was beginning to thicken, but only on the right side of her body. Tears were streaming down the left side of Selena's body as her right side showed nothing be anger in it's eyes. Selena shut her eyes thight once more and as she did the slime began to fade. Selena staggered back looking at Alice, unsure of what to say or do.
All at once those feelings the slime had been keep from Selena had rushed over her, everything she didn't want to feel about this situation.

She had talked to fast but there was so much to talk about, so much to explain so much to say.. her apology was too late and she realized that, which made her look away from Selena her face, she had simply stared at her toes for as far as she could see them and with that had noticed the strechted out hand and she felt a stinging feeling in her cheek. Her face turned to the right as her left cheek was swelling already turning red and trobbing and yet she didn't understand. Her golden eyes turned back to Selena and she noticed the anger and the sadness and the difference between the slime and Selena herself, she heard the voice and there was a lot she would want to say to the slime if that had been the only person around, why would she complain, she apparently seemed to like it when Selena was paranoia so she could take the stage but apparently not now but she only turned to look at Selena her left eye, "I really am sorry. I don't know how to make it up to you, I do have a lot to tell you and.. I don't even know where to start but to say I'm sorry, Selena." On purpose she said her cousin's name, she really didn't care anything about the slime, she cared about her cousin's feelings.

Selena must be angry as well, Alice tried to warn herself, would the slime be able to feel for herself or was it the two of them, could Alice even see it as two different people? It was a difficult situation and it was sure as hell mostly her fault but she would also see it as a bit of a fault of the Council, she had not been able to contact people for a month and well after that she had run off with Kon, but she had a good reason for that! She only had to write people and she had not done that. She wouldn't deny that she was too blame as well, just not entirely.

"Sorry can only get you so far!" The Slime roared at the back of Selena's mind. Sleena shook her head again, Facing away from her cousin. "I'm sorry too I suppose." Selena said not sure where she was going with this. "I wasn't there for you in Hargeon, and when I couldn't find you I thought the worst." Selena sighed. For whatever reason she knew if she looked at her cousin again she'd want to hit her. Was it due to these new feelings bubbling up within her? The one's the Slime had kept from Selena to shield her? Since Selena couldn't really work through these emotions she would have to now, which would be somewhat problematic. "But I think the Slime was right, you put me through a lot Alice weather I knew it or not." Selena thought back to the night in the lighthouse. "And not just me, Kon was worried sick, have you even spoken to him?" The feelings inside Selena were beginning to boil. She pressed her nails into her palms to stop herself from lashing out. Selena even geban to tremble slightly, causing her ring to jingle against her jacket. Selena exhaled loudly as she tuned to Alice. "But I do know you had your reasons, so maybe we should talk about them." She would say, her face neutral. The Slime within Selena had been subdued for the most part. Luckily whatever Kon did to help bring back her memeoires had also managed to help keep the Slime at bay. "Anyway, I have some things to tell you about too." Selena would say looking at the ring hanging from her neck.

Alice looked at Selena but her cousin wouldn't look at her and she felt bad for what she had done and she stared at the ground in front of her and kicked it away while sitting again on the bench, "It wans't only you, no one showed up." She took a deep breath as she had to say something about what was going wrong but the thing was that Selena was a Rune Knight as well, on one hand this could mean that perhaps her cousin could tell her if her doubts were true or perhaps talk with her about the issue at hand, "Selena, there is this thing, the whole reason why I couldn't contact you. But you must swear not to tell anyone as well as the slime, because I still am very unsure about the issue at hand." Alice said and she looked up to see if Selena would look her in the eye this time. "Because of that issue at Hargeon, I was hospitalized, it is basically a miracle that I survived and.." Okay issue for another time, Alice. The red head thought to herself, "I was not allowed to contact anyone, no one, they said they were representatives of the Council and I'm still unsure if it is true but they forbid me to call upon you or Eva or Kon for that matter." She had to actually tell Selena why but she skipped that part, "After that it's my fault. I met Kon, so yeah I know that he was worried sick, he couldn't believe it when he saw me and I can believe he was angry, he perhaps never showed. But I followed him blindly, we left Hargeon because of the bad memories and returned to Magnolia where we were happy, he offered me the key to his manor and I followed him to Orchidia, Worth Woodsea because of work, Nanuq because I got lost and now we are here in Baska." She had so much to explain but she was wondering if she told Selena everything in one go, how much her cousin would be able to take and yet she wanted to tell Selena so badly, they ought to be close, Selena was basically the only family that she had. She needed Selena to trust her again but she understood very well why she was angry.

Which was why Alice told herself that she couldn't keep much more a secret, she would never forgive herself if Selena would find out in another way but she would break it slowly and would simply see where the conversation would turn.

"I know that you were alone, literally no one say you hence why I was so anxious for your safety since I knew for a fact you had came to Hargeon." Selena interjected, her bubbling anger boiling over slightly. Her words came out harsh, but she at least tried to keep the wording somewhat caring. She didn't want to feel this way towards her cousin, especially since they were beginning to return to how they were. However now it felt like the steps the moved forward together, the just ended back at square one. Once Alice had asked for Selena's secrecy, a part of her felt offended. "Of course. I have more control over it as you seen." She replied monotone. A thought crossed her mind thta maybe no feeling at all in her voicew would lessen the tension, it did not. It was true that she had more control of the soul that resided within her body, but despite her mastery over the slime it could still lash out as it did on Alice.
As Alice spoke again, Selena's whiped her head around to look at her cousin. She was totally taken by surprise at her cousin's statement. So she had fought Thesus and what was worse she was gravely injured, just as Selena feared. "Even if you had contacted me saying that it would have kept me sane!" Selena replied looking hurt that her cousin couldn't even confide in Selena that much. "Even if the council said that you could have sent anyone to tell me, or Kon or Eva, or even send a discrete letter or anything!"
Selena more or less Ignored what Alice had to say about her and Kon. Although she did make an association with her ring as she explained wha she did. The ring couldnt get a clear point as to where Alice was as she kept moving around. "What else is there?" She would ask, unsure in herself as to how to act.

Of course Selena had know that Alice was in Hargeon, everyone knew that the lieutenant was over there so that made sense but it still didn't change anything. Yes she had felt a bit betrayed when she was alone there, and that she had to fight this Grimoire Heart mage in her condition but she had believed she would be able to until something snapped and yet here was Selena yelling at her. Shouldn't she scream back? No. It wouldn't change a single thing. But she remained quiet, only continued to talk to explain if Selena would let her. It felt as if she was back in to her state of Phantom Lord where she didn't understand a single thing about the world and that made her so sad that she felt like crying which she would refrain from. Not only did she hate crying but it was also because of her condition that she was this emotional all the time. Something she also had to tell Selena right now, but she first asked for her secrecy as well for the slime which apparently wasn't a good question. She didn't mean it in a way that her cousin had no control over the slime but she saw them as two different beings and if she only asked Selena for her secrecy than the Slime would be able to ignore that, but she didn't feel the need to explain that for now. But Selena also said she had more control, her burning cheek said something different but she also didn't want to point that out.

She took a deep breath when Selena snapped with a hurt look. It was getting her angry, "Don't you think I wanted that? I begged them daily but I was not allowed, I wasn't even allowed to go outside. Don't you think I tried, do you think I'm that weak and pathetic for only saying yes and amen to the suggestions of the Council while I not agree with them? Do you think that low of me. I didn't see anyone but the nurse who I didn't ask to risk his life to tell, don't blame me for what I couldn't do." She should more blame her for after that but she ignored that as well, it wasn't her mistake anymore if Selena didn't want to listen. She was asked cold and cool tone if there was anything else, as if they were simply changing conversation and it would be done after this, "Of course there is something else. You think the council only held me there because I was injured and they were afraid that I would never recover?" She couldn't help but snap back, "I lost my magic," she started with a loud voice but the last part of her sentence would be said in a whisper but agitated because she aws actually not allowed to talk about her pregnancy, "They threatened to get rid of me if I wouldn't get it back soon, they forced me to use magic which I couldn't. They forced me to stand while I couldn't walk. They forced me to not talk about my pregnancy because it is hideous that a lieutenant is pregnant. So there you have it, are you happy about your precious council who did nothing wrong but only me?" She didn't want to attack Selena but she couldn't get the blame for this, it wasn't her fault. She had cried, screamed and suffered because she wanted to see them, Kon, Selena, Eva, others but mostly those three. She decided that it would be a good moment to shut up as she had just spilled the beans about her pregnancy, because apart from Selena her reaction, she was waiting for an ambush.
