The city of Baska was a bit of a dangerous game lately but the new Dragon Slayer definitely didn't mind the game yet. She was sitting just out side the town on one of the hills, giving her the ability to watch over the town. Obviously not everything was visible but she was looking around if she could find another red haired woman, if only she knew how far Lucifer was with his plans. Would she get her soul back if she would kill Alice herself? Considering that was a sin, would selling your soul for the same purpose be a bigger sin? She actually didn't care anymore. The divine was not her number one person in her life anymore. All she could think about was herself and how much nicer her life would be if she would be the only one of the twins. She should have asked Lucifer if he would mind to take the boyfriend with. Because Kon would be perhaps more annoying than Alice.

She growled inwards and hit her head on her knees, which she had pulled up and hugged to keep herself warm. Who would sit on the cold ground in the middle of the winter? This child, because thanks to accepting her Dragon Slayer history, god knows how she got it, she was no longer feeling weak throughout her whole body. She only wondered if it would be for a short period just as before, when she had sold her soul to Lucifer. She had felt rather good for a couple of weeks. The red haired person sighed again and looked up, not being able to stay in town for the whole day because of the risks made everything a lot more boring. But she had played a very dangerous game by burning Kon with her new power and by pretending to be Alice to Xandra Queen. She bit her lip shortly to hid her smile, she would play a much more dangerous game sooner than later. It was the risks that she was willing to take to get to the point of no return for her dear sister. A very interesting game.

Chelvaric Walderkat
A small force of wind was traveling over the snowy meadows of the Baska hills. It was a place that probably was filled with sheep in the summer but now that it was winter and all the grass was covered in pure white snow it became a deserted place with nothing but wind and the occasional wolf or fox who wandered the hills for some food in these times where all the critters had gone underground and where their food source was too small to actually feed on. That’s why they should have left for the south too survive but these lone wolfs were probably wounded or too sick to make the travel and had to take their luck with hunting in these hills.

There was one figure who stuck out in the landscape as a sore thumb, his pure green cloak and tunic was a bit too bright for the white landscape. As the figure was moving forward he was leaving a small trail of footsteps behind him. He was all alone except for a green little creature walking next to him which you could mistake for a plant.

Chelvaric was looking around him and saw that the area was quite peaceful and intact, no Environment dangerous here and no humans were destroying it until he saw something with very bright red hair sit in the snow all alone. He was a bit worried that the person was in trouble as who would sit in the snow with these temperatures so he walked closer to the person. “Are you alright”, he asked once he was close enough.

Her new coat looked like she was a little bear, it was made of a black fur and the only thing that made people realize she was not a little bear cub was because of the red ponytail that was on top of her head and that was swaying a bit in the wind. She was sitting on a small blanket because of the snow. She felt cold but she would be patient, there was a game to be played. It wasn't a fun game to play especially if she would have to sit here in the snow and..

She looked up in surprise as she had not realized there was someone else around her. She wasn't sure if it was simply because this person didn't look like a regular human such as herself, but apart from that, this person asked her a question, "Oh well yea, I was waiting for someone but it seems I am dumped." she casually lied, why else would people sit in the middle of nowhere in the snow, "He said it would be romantic to walk in the hills and in the snow but here I am alone." She shivered because now that she was talking to someone and not focused on keeping herself warm, which was what she had done before.

Chelvaric heard the girl out as it seemed she had been waiting for someone to spend her time with. He wondered who would hold a meeting in the middle of the snowy hills but he didn’t have to wait too long for the answer as it seems it was a young lovers quarrel. Ah, how good it was to be a young person. He thought about Snow and then made his mind come back to the now and here as this girl had a cold and was alone. He wouldn’t be a nice person if he would just leave her alone so he put his hand out towards her.

“Well let me pull you up then and I’ll keep you company for now. You can walk with me to my little hut I have close by, I can offer you some hot cholate milk to warm you up.”, he said to the girl and was reminded that only Snow was immune to cold. He wasn’t used to it anymore that the persons he was with get cold and needed heat to warm themselves. He felt sorry for her as she probably felt terrible that she was left alone without the guy had said anything to her beforehand.

“I am Chelvaric Walderkat, nice to meet you, miss?”, he said to her to make her feel comfortable as he was still some stranger who she probably didn’t trust.

Lacie hated how she suddenly felt cold and wrapped her warm fury arms thanks to the coat around her and looked at the person, that's when she finally realized why she had immediately noticed he was not a regular human; it were the ears and the face itself. He must be an elf. She had actually never met one before but this certainly was much more interesting. She couldn't help but grin, "Normally I don't trust strangers," she said with this fake smile that she now kept on this little lady in love, "But since you offer hot chocolate I can't refuse." So she stood up and took her blanked, thank god she wasn't covered in snow herself. She made sure that there was no snow clinging to the blanket and she quickly folded it up and held it in her hands.

When she was done, the stranger introduced himself and her neutral face, with the open expression and the little smile froze. Chelvaric.. his first name sounded familiar. She looked at the companion but that wasn't one familiar, "Lacie. I think we met in Orchidia." she said trying to keep her voice neutral, this was one of the sources Alice had used to prove she wasn't possessed, the exorsist. She narrowed her eyes a little, but he definitely didn't look like the person she had met in Orchidia, that one had been a neko, with a little talking demon companion. He had been in the church and she had freaked out.

Chelvaric was looking at the girl as she got up from her spot. It seemed she normally didn’t trust strangers which was the normal thing to do. He wouldn’t blame her if she said no he actually was kind of expecting her to say no but she agreed to it mainly because of the hot chocolate milk it seemed. When she was done and he had introduced himself she introduced herself back as lacie. He thought about it for a second and remembered that they had met in a church once long time ago when things were still so calm and peaceful.

“I understand your confusion, a lot has happened since then, I am not the same person anymore. Maybe I’ll tell you more details about it when were at the cabin. It’s quite personal and thinking of it still makes me sad”, he said to her and walked towards his cabin. “This is Elisa by the way shes my Spirit animal. She’s quite friendly so don’t worry about her. just don’t pet her yet she can be a bit shy at first. It’s this way were not that far off I think a good ten minute walk and well arrive. How have you been doing all this time?”, he asked of her and stepped trough the quite hard walkable snow as every time he put his feet down he was pushed deeper into the snow.

Lacie eyed him suspiciously. But she shouldn't show her anger, especially because it would bring her no where and apparently, he couldn't even remember her. Perhaps that would also mean that he wouldn't be able to remember Alice and it would make things easier, before she now was accussed of being a bitch or a witch or anything in that matter. "Oh I don't want to make you sad." she lied because well, you better could keep people friendly when two quite powerful people were trying to chop your head off. She was more afraid of Kon than Alice for obvious reasons. She quickly followed him when he took the first steps towards this cabin, "It sure has been a while indeed." she simply said and turned to look at the creature that he introduced.

She didn't like companions. Especially not after Scarlett left her. She simply nodded towards the creature as if she was greeting it and stared at it very seriously before turning her eyes back at Chelvaric, "Oh you know, travellers life. Going here and there. Nothing much interesting to be honest." She shrugged it off, that little walk of ten minutes was nothing.

He looked at Lacie and then felt guilty when she was saying that she was sorry about making him sad, she wasn’t the one who had to make him sad but the events that had happened that made him sad. He had to apologize to her for this since he didn’t want her to feel bad just about something stupid like this. “No, no it’s fine I didn’t mean that you were the one that made me sad”, he said to her and forced a smile so that she would think that he was okay again. It seemed she had traveled a lot lately. He wondered where she had gone too. Since he didn’t travel that much and stayed in one town for a long time before he moved to Baska to get anchored to the place again.

“Ah, that’s too bad, I always seem to find myself doing lots of jobs when I arrive somewhere new you know. Look the cabin is there!”, he suddenly yelped and pointed to the small wooden block hut. They walked over to it and he pressed the door open after which he lit a small candle on the table. “Make yourself at home while I heat some water for the tea. What kind of tea do you like?”, he said to her and was rumbling through his cabin.

"Oh, well that's kind of good. It's bad you feel bad though." She said with a small smile, following him towards the cabin and the warm drink that he had promised her. She was slightly annoyed by the whole ordeal about Chelvaric, thanks to this her sister had this whole issue with her and also some proof and she tried to show the whole world that this was a hidden thing. He didn't need to know she was angry and that it was his fault, so she kept the fake small smile on her face. She told him about her travelling and going here and there.

She listened to him, seeing where she walked and heard him talk about the Cabin, "Jobs certainly have their interesting things, I just don't like to do them alone. And well my friend circle is very limited and spread out over whole Fiore." Lacie followed him inside and sat at one of the chairs as she heard him say that she could make herself home, "Well I am not that picky." She smiled at him and looked around, quickly scanning the area around her.

Chelvaric looked at Lacie while he was waiting for the tea to be ready. It seemed she mostly traveled because she didn’t want to do jobs alone but in the exchange of that all her friends were spread out so she had to wander around from place to place. “I can understand that. It’s been ages since I did a job alone”, he said to her and poured the tea out. He drank a little bit of it and enjoyed the heat spreading through his body. He hoped the girl would at least like the tea. If not then surely his company. “it’s been really snowy these days. If it continues like this we’ll be buried in snow soon”, he sad to Lacie and looked through the small windows as it started to snow again.

They continued to talk for a while before they knew it their tea was empty and the sun was settling behind the snowy forest. It seemed it was time to head back to Baska. “You should head back to Baska or you’ll be stuck here for the night.”, he said to Lacie and he opened the door after she had time to put her coat back on. “I hope next time you don’t let a guy stand you up”, he said to her and waved goodbye.

The good thing was that Chelvaric understood. She still didn't like him but she didn't plan to tell him that obviously, now that would be rude but she just sat there waiting for the tea. The only person she did quests with had almost always been Judina. There was a Baron once and well sometimes she did go alone, she needed jewels after all. But yeah she needed to get more information but she didn't know how to ask without bringing up the whole demon issue. She wanted to know how well he knew her sister and what he thought. They were probably friends and she didn't want to hear anything about that. It would make her nauseous and she hated Alice.

She talked a bit before she had to go back to Baska because of the snow and she said goodbye, looking at Chelvaric surprised when he said she shouldn't be stood up by a guy. What.. oh right, the excuse she had faked and she quickly laughed it away, "I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the tea." and she pulled on her coat and walked back towards the town to quickly walk towards the inn that she actually stayed to hide herself.
