The bar certainly didn't need any help today, and for now Christian would rather avoid that place until he felt a little better, considering what happened there and everything.. shaking his head, Christian would walk away from the bar. He needed to just look around for flyers that would be advertising small jobs that could be done around the city, that would be best. It was a good way to get his name out there for other people, and make a bit of money even if small. Every bit helped, especially when you were trying to make it on your own. Maybe he'd buy a new sword when he got enough money, the one he currently had was getting a little bit rusty.
Speaking of swords, Christian had found a banner with a picture of a sword on it. Or, a flyer rather. It was a rather big one though... luckily for Christian this seemed to be a job that he could do. Smiling, he was glad that he was able to find something to do. Alright, time to read up on what the job was for. A knight had recently dropped his sword in the gardens, and he needed someone to find it. What a guy.. Christian knew for a fact he cherished swords enough to never lose them. But that may have just been becausehe was an elf, however. Either way, it was time to go and search in the crocus gardens.
Christian got kinda lost on his way to the gardens thanks to just how big Crocus was, but eventually made his way there and began to search. The searching through bushes and trees, and even garbage cans really helped him get his mind off things, but of course there was still that one reminder of what happened in his head. He kept on trying to forget it, but it would not be something he would easily forget. This would take a while. Christian sighed, taking a break as he sat on a bench within the gardens. Not only was he thinking all this, but on top of all that this sword was starting to become a little bit of a pain to find for Christian as well. Seriously, he had been looking everywhere for this thing but there were still very little leads on where he could find it.
Even though he knew he shouldn't at all, he kinda felt like giving up in all honesty. However, there came a shining light of hope. The lucky break that Christian would really need right now. This was purely luck, and if he was not on that bench at that exact moment he would of never found this sword. But, he did. Why you ask?
Out of nowhere, a dog appeared and would begin to run past the bench, when Christian noticed it had something in its mouth. A sword! Christian jumped up and began to run quickly after the dog. Thankfully it wasn't fast, but he still had problems getting to it. Christian ordered the dog to sit, and luckily it was very complying as he dropped the slimey sword full of the dog's saliva on the ground. Cautiously, Christian would fling the sword into the fountain int he gardens to wash it off, before pulling it out and heading over to the knight's location to hand him the sword.
And so, Christian got his money, and he would go on his way. This day wasn't perfect, but he certainly had a lot more fun than he would have if he just sat down and moped the whole time in his home. He was lucky, and he was thankful he was able to do this. It really felt good to just help people every once in a while. And so Christian fell asleep that night, ready for the next day and whatever it may end up bringing the elf boy.
