The first mission proved pretty easy for her, but then again, Alisa had outgrown missions such as these many months ago, possible years. She could benefit from experience gained doing them, but whatever enemies she had to face hardly even qualified as playing around, let alone a proper threat. It's alright though, she never expected to gain combat experience like she would from fighting Finn than by doing D and C-rank level missions. The money wasn't too shabby for how quickly she could clear them, while the wisdom and connections gained could just as easily last forever. This had been one of the most effective training regimens she'd undergone as of late, and so far nothing could change it.
Finishing the first mission of the day, Alisa stopped at nearby café to get her caffeine fix, the perfect excuse to do so as she looked for other jobs on the newspaper. Might as well start from by doing all the lowest ranks she could find: She could do several of those in a single day, and she did them far faster by herself than she ever could with a partner. But in the process of going around the Capital looking for word, she'd likely run into one or another of her friends, someone who could join her for one of the higher ranked jobs, some of the few she'd actually finish faster with a partner.
"So, Lumen, let's see what we have here, shall we...?", she thought out loud to her silent partner who seemed more focused on her macarons than Alisa herself, who simply sipped her latte and crossed her legs, flipping through the newspaper until finally reaching the page she was looking for.
Indeed, D-rank missions were a dime and dozen, she had quite a few at her disposal, each easier than the last one. Some of them - such as the restaurant job - all but required her to go there at the appropriate time. Whereas others had no obvious time frame, and she could finish them whenever she felt like it. One in particular stood out this time not for its simplicity, but rather its proximity. Looking around as if to remind herself this café was indeed in the Crocus gardens, Alisa figured she could take care of this one very quickly, maybe even have time for another before lunch time.
Oh, how wrong she was... Once she took a good look at the job description, her brow furrowed and she understood this could easily turn into the most troublesome of all the D-ranks she had available. Someone had actually gone and lost a prized, precious source somewhere in the gardens. With her next job in mind, the sculptress finished and paid for her latte, before standing up and running her hands down her body, smoothing out Junketsu, and began the next job. Hmmm, so the sword had to be around here somewhere...
"Sounds like looking for a needle in a haystack... It appears we'll be here for a little while Lumen.", noted Alisa, calmly ignoring the impending boredom, looking around and sighing as a gust of wind whipped her hair and skirt around.
