Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time
Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooh, (any way the wind blows)
I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

Arisa sighed softly, excited even as she had her own new armor just for herself. She didn't know why she deserved it nor the exact details just yet, but after spending some time with it she figured out the interesting things it can do. There were small things like spells faster and the staff was super useful for spells so she didn't have to do silly actions. No longer did she have to say words as she had to just channel her soul and spells within it. Her suit felt fitting against her slender yet womanly body. 'Ugh, it can sure be uncomfortable when it comes to my assets.' she thought as she remembered that it crammed up a little in one of the most uncomfortable places to have it against. Today she was leaning against the hotel building that she was staying at, enjoying the silence and perhaps it was too quiet. This hotel was far away from the 'castle' area and not really in the city itself. There was a small path from the woods on the left side of the building after a couple of other buildings.
Her hair was all put up in a pony tail and her golden sunset eyes gazed at the sky that was quite something. Swiftly she twirled her staff on the ground by its end piece with a flick and motion of her fingers. Her heart was pound fast for some reason though as she felt nervous. 'It is kind of weird though that no one is out here...' she thought and pushed herself up. She feels like she should start running towards where she had to go. 'Wonder if our dear love will be there...' a thought came up, speaking in her mind. She could feel the warmth within her body! Her soul! Oh my did the feeling of his warmth devour her every whim. Her sanity was no where to be found as she thought of this, but she had to. Arisa needed to chill, relax and not go crazy. Her eyes looked up and semi-towards the halo on her head as it felt heavy, but not heavy as if the metal was specially made. The outfit was given to her by some beings that were covered in light as she couldn't identify them. There was more than one being there though so who were they? It was in question...
With that she started to run towards the location in which she was needed. The streets were hallow as if it was some haunted town or even city due it being Crocus. Her blonde hair that was put up in a pony tail bounced each step and ran more. Her chest was thankfully not as large in portions as that would make it more difficult to run so she decided to jog and get entrance to the castle before the battle truly began.
That was so many moments ago (hours or so) as she started to run with huffing and puffing from breathing and running at her top speed. 'Damn I should run more!' she thought as she ran to the castle area in which she was assigned to. She had one of the most important jobs to do and rather or not she knew someone there - enemy or ally, she was going to succeed. Destroy all or one, Arisa wanted to be known - known and have her lover see her as strong or at least same level. She had this silly belief that he saw her as someone weaker and perhaps she was right or wrong. She didn't want to truly assume it as a exact truth. Who was going to be there though? She didn't really know as she saw the royals and whoever else was there. She didn't feel like counting, but one specific person was there, but she didn't remember their name.
In question was rather or not to keep this professional and that she was. She had her long staff in her soft yet strong grasping hand. She licked her lips as she looked at the guard and then the royal people. ''We'll be here to protect you.~'' she spoke softly and quietly with her golden sun eyes gazing at them. With her staff she tapped the ground with its lower base as it glowed a golden color. Her body soon disappeared into the light air with her smell and sounds as well. The only thing that is showing is a staff that looks like its resting against the wall in which she holds it like that in place. Never does she let go of that staff as she puts her soul, magic and spells within this staff. Her heart beats fast as she becomes nervous. Her first fight and with this special armor too! How was she going to feel once she fights or kills someone?

She'd head quite a few rumors about that famed teleportation device, about how anybody who answered the call but wasn't in Crocus at the time of the attack... Fortunately, she was smart enough to travel beforehand, as she'd very much prefer to not be warped out of nowhere while busy doing gods know what. Hell, she could be in the shower whenever Grimoire decided to attack with their usual piss poor timing, which would ultimately force her to fight naked. Well, she wouldn't need to fight naked although her armor was a pretty close second... However, in that particular case, near nudity made her stronger.
Thankfully, she didn't have to deal with that kind of a hassle, but had a different kind of problem altogether. An eerie wind blew across the park the sculptress found herself in, and she promptly narrowed her eyes towards the walls, as if some foul, menacing air had drawn her attention.
"I have a bad feeling about this...", she thought out loud, and her thoughts were proven right in a matter of minutes. She had time to throw another two sword slashes into the air, a bead of sweat flowing down her face. Clad in her new outfit and bearing her new armor, Alisa was about as armed to the teeth as she could possible be, even Lumen had joined her for this, using her human form.
The cannon fire hit the walls with a deafening boom, catching the sculptress right in the middle of her training. Not a difficult feat to achieve, considering she'd been spending the better part of the last few days immersed in such training. Immediately, she hurried towards the citadel amidst the stampeding crowd, making full use of all the alleys whose existence she learned of in the last couple of days, as well as the time spent on Crocus last year. Even those didn't look as deserted as she'd have hoped.
Fortunately, she was already pretty close to Mercurius to begin with, and thus had no trouble getting there long before the actual raid followed the breach in the walls. Alisa had only one plan, to get as deep into the castle as she could. The guards already knew her once she volunteered - among many others - to join the defense force. She'd been screened, back ground checked, and whatever other kind of checks they could throw at her that didn't involve stripping naked. Rather reasonable of a condition considering the amount of firepower she could contribute to the defense... In the end though, such strict security created an almost foolproof barrier against enemy infiltrations.
Thus, she'd arrive at a grand hall where the royal guards awaited her. Arisa would be there already, having clearly arrived in a hurry, shortly before Alisa. As the sculptress had been closer, she could get there faster at a calm, walking pace, which also allowed the human form Litwick to follow about a meter or so behind her:
"Hello Ari~ Good to see you here already...", spoke Alisa, greeting her friend with a smile yet nonetheless taking a moment to admire her surroundings. She trusted not only Arisa but her power too, and knew she could make a difference here. Stereotypes often hint at the strongest ranks in dark guilds being filled by demons, werewolves, and other generally unpleasant creatures, and Arisa's magic held a distinctive advantage against most of them.
A truly grand hall occupied only by the two women and a couple of royal guards, about sixty meters long and forty meters wide. Most of the priceless furniture had been removed leaving naught but the tall, marbled halls. Alisa stood about fifteen meters from the large entrance which she'd entered from, roughly the same distance between both sides. Besides that entrance, there was another one just like it on the opposite side leading to gods knows where, which didn't feel relevant for now as enemies had no way of invading from that side.
For all their power though, only Alisa and Arisa might very well not be enough to take down their enemies assuming they were stuck dealing with the guy who killed either the masters of Lamia Scale or Blue Pegasus... Hopefully they'd have other allies they could count on, but regardless of that, Alisa kept her eyes peeled, head pivoting around as she listened for every noise looked for any unfamiliar entrance - including above and below - her left hand hanging close to Bakuzan on her left hip...

Zade casually strolled inside the halls of Mercurius. His entire attire was covered in splats of blood that had still not dried up. He held his sword in his right with a loose grip letting it drag across the marble floor leaving behind a trail of blood. The sound of his arrival echoed loudly throughout the halls of the castle. With a smirk on his face, he looked to his left and right searching for new targets. A servant quickly bolted out of one of the rooms trying to escape the ongoing onslaught. Zade paid no attention to him for he was only looking for proper enemies. His group, Zade's Marauders, were busy defeating the Rune Knights stationed inside the castle guarding the nobility. As he was nearing the grand hall another person bolted out of their room trying to escape but accidentally ran into Zade. It was a young lady trying to look for an escape route. The door behind her was still half open through which Zade could see children cowering behind it. She didn't seem like she belonged here in Mercurius. Most likely she was a commoner taken by a noble because of her beauty regardless whether she was married or not. "P-please, my children. We just want to leave this place. At least let them go so that they can see their father again." Zade wanted to ignore her and keep on walking, but he recalled Crowley's words as he saw the woman in front of him trembling with fear. He rose his left hand at pointed it at her. Then he turned his hand to the left, pointing it at the wall, and let out a pressure of immense mana to shatter it down completely. "Go through the west wing with your kids and remain in the library, no one is coming there. All the nobles are well guarded in their suites." The woman, still trembling with fear, looked at the door signing her children to get out and run with her. The moment she passed through the shattered wall, she paused briefly and turned around looking at Zade with tears in her eyes showing her gratitude. Zade could see her in the corner of his eyes but continued walking towards the grand hall. "Tch, Crowley got me going the extra mile here."
The moment Zade entered the grand hall, he could feel multiple worthy opponents guarding the nobility but only saw one. He could taste the fear of the nobility in the room. They all cowered and ran away from towards a different location through one of the doors in the back of the large hall. "Oh, got you guys on guard duty? Let us have some fun before I get to business with the ones behind you, shall we?" He sensed mana emitting from the staff against the wall and from the large cross against one of the pillars. "I'm gonna assume those two weapons are not normal weapons. Don't start floating around on me. I like to see the expressions of the ones I'm fighting against." Zade said as he looked around at the two items. He then turned his focus on the girl he could see. "While your friends play hide and seek, shall we battle to our heart's extent? Let's build it up nice and slowly towards the climax of death of either one of us." Zade said. He then turned his head around to the two items again. "Gonna warn you, once I catch you moving, I won't build it up nice and slowly with you two. No expressions means no actual battle but a one-sided massacre." Zade tightened the grip on his sword with his right hand and rose it towards the girl in front of him. His whole 2 meters of length with his long black hair often caused a sense of raw intimidation. His right eye was covered with an eye patch, but with his expertise of having fought constantly in the fray of battle as a soldier of the vanguard seeing with his left eye alone was more than enough for him. "Ladies first."

The Fairy Tail mage had been in the middle of his morning rituals right before he realized he was being transported, but fortunately had managed to grab ahold of his armour before the process was complete. His transfer to Mercurius had not been an altogether unpleasant one, but it would have been nice if he had gotten some prior notification or warning; it wasn't as though they were in a rush as the fighting had not even officially begun yet, and due to that, the Fairy Tail mage had been able to take advantage of the Royals' hospitality for a good few hours before hurriedly making his way to the throne room when he got word of the breach.
He was sure footed in his movements, managing to reach the throne room from the door opposite where Zade made his entrance, hopefully undetected, but it mattered little as it looked like there were other capable defenders also stationed in the vicinity. With his muscular frame and commanding presence, Houren would have been an intimidating man to put at the front of the vanguard, and would have been just as effective at the rearguard. However, it looked like he met his match against this one eyed marauder, the lack of an eye only adding to the Grimoire Heart member's already daunting presence.
The element of surprise would have been useful in this instance, but the Fire Dragon Slayer decided that it was better to exert caution as he had shown up on the field of battle without a weapon, having been unable to grab one when he was transported. His inability to lock blades with this undoubtedly formidable opponent left a bitter taste in the Fairy Tail mage's mouth but today wasn't about him. He could still contribute to the protection of the Royal Family with his explosive fire magic but it was imperative that he maintain his distance. He would be most useful here, as far away from the invader as possible. The one eyed man beckoned for the woman nearest to him to make the first move, but whether it was out of begrudging gentlemanly politeness or a tasteless taunt, Houren did not know.

She waited beside the wall with her staff in her hand still. Her staff was against the wall looking as if it was perfectly just resting against the wall itself. Her golden eyes gazed towards the door where a man appeared. Her heart was beating fast with excitement for some reason as she saw the man. He was muscular, cute and ... he's about her height if not an inch taller than her. He had an eye patch over his eye and his hair was quite spiky as if he used a lot of gel.
Something was off though as he looked towards her and the cross weapon. He seemed to not like their little trick of playing hide-and-go seek neither and so she wondered to herself on rather or not to let go of the invisibility. 'This is dumb then...' she thought. This dude was actually attractive, but not as much as her Noel. She blushed and smiled, but didn't motion the staff. She took a deep breather as she let the spell leave its course through the staff and no longer was invisible. Her four wings were motioning back and forth in slow motion as she held her staff close to her. Her eyes gazed and concentrated on the man, ignoring whoever just walked in from the other door. Her blonde radiant hair shined by the glory lights of her staff and above (the ceiling lights).
''Alright big man.~'' she spoke alluringly and soft while giving a cute happy smile at him. She wasn't putting her guard down, but she wanted to at least speak to this guy. Something about him didn't seem honestly too bad, but he was still here to make the mission fail. She shrugged and saw what he wanted. This guy... he was lusting for battle. He was like that other part of her, the part of her that she couldn't quite explain to anyone if she tried. She stayed put with her staff in her hand in front of her like a statue of an angelic guardian of beauty and magic. ''I shall let you battle her first since I'd like to 'study'...well...you, first. Unless of course you rather make an addition.~'' Oh yes, Arisa loved to study people and if she could, she'll take every chance. This man wanted a battle - a slow one so why not let him have it before the possibility of death appears, for him at least. She was super interested in this being. Just who was he?! A demon perhaps or just a crazed human being who loves battle as much as a god of war? If he dares to attack though, she wasn't going to hold back.

Shura Ranzu "Ghastly." “I find your lack of faith disturbing.” he would answer in reply. It was a single word, but with the time spent between them, he understood his concerns. Phantom Lord was prepared for this moment. Shura was awaiting the call, as was Miah. How he would take it would be his choice entirely. There was no point in worrying about that man, he was well enough on his own. He was going to have to leave the nest and fly today. This was their time to shine. His companion beside him. His attire was that of his same casual garments with his armor under. his leather jacket hid the sheen of the armor under his shirt, all that mattered now was someone willing to test him. He found himself in an empty room, save for all of the furniture and papers. It must have been an office or something of the sort. It wasn't relevant to what the room was used for, Shura knew well enough where he stood. He was taken to this city for the sole reason to defend it. He was a wanderer for the moment, and now he would find himself in a maze of corridors and rooms. He would have to find the main hall. This day, this attack, this whole event was unsettling. He was here to do his job, but most of all, he was here to avenge Cesare. He couldn't forget all that Grimoire Heart had taken from his own guild. While it had given him the opportunity to step up and lead his people, he could not ignore the fact that they even considered such an option, much less do it. Whatever the reason was, Shura was beyond uncovering it. He was here not to save the capital, nor to protect this city. He was here to avenge his former guild master before him, and he would not allow them to get in his way again. He would exit the room, only to hear echos of voices and struggles. One side held the banging of metal and grunts, possibly from the knights fighting with others. Whatever it was, it was far beneath him. If he was called here, taken to this place, he was transported here for a reason. He had to find the reason, and he was going to put an end to it. "Ghastly?" Loki spoke again, this time floating closer, his view spinning, looking at all angles of the hall as Shura focused in what was before him. He held no smirk or grin. He had to agree with the discomfort. "I've got a bad feeling about this." He spoke low, following the long hallway. he didn't want to agree with Loki at first, but something was off. This hallway, wherever it led, would house something more interesting. There would be mages when he got there. If he was transported here, so would be others. The question was, who was he to target?

Ari scarcely even returned Alisa's greeting and instead turned invisibly right away. She'd gibe at her lack of manners if they weren't about to be in a combat situation, and speaking to her might ruin her cover. Thus, looked at the place she'd hidden in exactly the same way as she looked around, not letting her gaze linger any longer that any other place. Her body language betrayed no knowledge that someone might be hiding there, and the same applied for the next defender. Amidst her careful scouting of her surroundings, Alisa saw a blonde guy in the distance carrying a massive cross. She doubted he carried such a heavy looking item for stylish decoration or even spiritual solace, so it was most likely a weapon.
"Lumen, take cover...", she urged her partner, telling the human form litwick to hide between the nearest pillar. She wasn't as fast as Alisa, and had no way of avoiding fast moving spells as easily as the sculptress.
Between herself, Arisa and the mysterious blonde, she'd best lay low until most of the big spells had been exhausted. The blonde had disappeared in the meantime, hinting at the same strategy as Arisa. After this, they didn't have to wait much longer. Screams and explosions beyond the south entrance where Alisa had entered from heralded his arrival. A towering, wild looking man with a bloodied sword, freshly used on who knows how many...
"Hooo? You didn't really expect this to be a walk in the park now, did you?", Alisa smirked, as hearing about the man sensory abilities hardly put a dent in her poker face. She stared in the man in the eye without flinching, matching his bloodlust, hinting at naught but the sliver of the hatred she felt for these people... Such emotions would only get in her way, so she'd save them for Lance's killer and the head of Grimoire Heart.
Whether this guy might be either of them, or if they were even two separate people... That remained to be seen. He definitely looked strong... She felt her fists tingle at the sight of him, and had he not been sent here to, well, butcher everybody, she might have tried him out in a sparring match. To make matters worse, the fair number of defenders made this a poor environment for one-on-one fights, where a single ally standing too close to the action would leave him liable to getting hit by friendly fire.
"Massacre huh....", her brow twitched at the threat on her best friend, yet she still kept her cool, "If you insist... I'll indulge your bloody little dance.", keeping an eye on her foe the whole way, she reached for the blue brace on her left bicep and closed and three clasps, transforming amidst a cloud of steam that whipped her long raven hair behind her...
She could never get used to those three needles used to draw her blood, but instead focused on the feeling of raw power, the unleashed strength of fusing with Life Fibers. Alisa wasn't one to issue threats, and for the most part, preferred not to reveal her hand until she could use it to secure victory. That transformation, however revealed the Blue Pegasus stamp on her midriff, announcing her personal quarrel with Grimoire Heart better than any words ever could.
"Then, make sure to pay attention, Ari.", she'd gibe at her friend, without drawing her eyes away from her target
Yet against someone who'd simply waltzed in here despite the royal guard, she knew fully well that without one of these trump cards she'd likely not survive to use all the others. With the man still at the entrance and Alisa fifteen meters in, said distance worked perfectly against an opponent whose abilities she knew nothing about, getting any closer before hand presented no advantage whatsoever.
"Now that I've shown you mine... The least you can do is show me yours~", Alisa dared right back nonchalantly, resting her left hand on her hip, right next to her sword. She'd let him transform if he had anything to show for, but if he didn't, she'd indulge him and start the fight with a bellowing, ear splitting Kiai, "HAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Not unlike a Slayer's breath spell, a magic circle formed in front of the sculptress' mouth and shot forth a spiraling storm of piercing diamonds, more than enough to poke a lesser man full of holes.
Assuming he hadn't moved, he'd be at about fifteen meters away from Alisa; at that distance, her spell would reach about six meters wide in three quarters of a second. If he had moved in either direction, Alisa would instead shout towards here he was moving depending on his speed, relying on her extensive experience with speed to aim the center of her vortex to where the man would be, give or take half a meter. She'd keep her motions fluid at all times, ready to adjust her actions if he were to shoot some manner of magic right at her. She'd shift her weight between both legs on an even stance; her body loose and fluid, ready to spring to action at any point at her foe's action, or sooner if something obscured her sight of him.

At last, Zade felt as if this could get finally interesting. He sensed someone at the end of the hall nearing the little theater of death that would soon take place. Zade was also pleasantly surprised that the other two decided to drop their little act and reveal themselves. It seemed that the staff was being wielded by a woman and the enormous cross by a male. The girl quickly let Zade know that she was willing to give Zade a one versus one against the girl in front of him, but he was not interested in mundane slaughters. "Nah, come here and entertain me, girl. Or stay observing me till the time comes to serve as a better opponent. Whatever works in your favor."
The girl in front of him was quite talkative, like Zade, and showed no signs of fear standing in front of him. It seemed as if he stumbled upon the right bunch here in this grand hall. "That thing, it doesn't sense human. Interesting, could it be that it is strong? I guess not since you made it go cower behind a pillar." Zade quickly glanced over what appeared to be a boy. "Is it that you care about it? Am I going to make you more interesting if I slaughter it in front of your eyes? Tch, if you don't amuse me I'll just try that." Zade, still pointing his sword at the girl in front of him, chuckled for a second.
Luckily, the girl in front of him was willing to indulge Zade's request and used a transformative spell to enhance her abilities. While her corporal structure had not changed, her gear changed entirely into something more suitable for warfare. It reminded him of some of the powerful warriors he fought in Talaz Lagar. He had seen many suits but not one like hers before. "The respect you've shown me by indulging me will not go unnoticed. When the time comes, I will give you an honorable death, girl."
Meanwhile, the blond indicated that he was willing to satisfy Zade's needs as well. What pleased Zade the most was him witnessing a summoner again after such a long time. The blond conjured a creature taller than Zade next to the girl while he himself remained next to the pillar. Zade wondered for a brief moment whether this summoner played a supportive role with his summons or if he was actually capable of battling himself. Most of the summoners he had seen in the past used their summons to play a role from a long range, but a little collective out there fought alongside their summons side by side.
Zade got the answer to his question rather fast when the man turned his cross into a long rage assault weapon. Alongside with the woman he released a barrage of projectiles at him. With a smile on his face, Zade tightened the grip on his sword and began to move it around to try to deflect as many projectiles as possible when the assault began. The projectiles hitting Zade's sword caused a sound which resonated throughout loudly the grand hall. Most of the projectiles ricochet of Zade's sword through the hall except for a few. Zade got a scar on his cheek which started to bleed immediately, as well as a few projectiles causing damage to his robes and body leaving behind minor cuts.
The moment the assault ended Zade's sword was pointing the summoned creature. Zade's handling and aim transitioned from defensive to offensive fluidly. He quickly dashed from his position to penetrate his sword deeply into the creature. A powerful blast released from Zade's sword trying take down summon as he attempted to penetrate the creature at the same time. The damage from his powerful penetration along with blast would most likely obliterate it.
As he dashed forward, Zade move his left hand which was still free underneath his right arm which was extended forward. He aimed his left hand at the girl next to the summon and released a small blast to get her away from him as he struck down the behemoth. "Sayonara!" Zade yelled vigorously the moment his sword penetrated and blasted through the creature. If the succeeded, he'd stand at the summon's location while facing the girl which stood next to it.

There might've been a short conversation, or at least some sort of lead-in before the fighting began but given the distance between the Fairy Tail mage and the rest of the other defenders, he hadn't been able to participate in any of the prematch banter before shots were fired, and, subsequently deflected. Houren was mightily impressed by Zade's display of flair and skill in diverting attacks from two mages simultaneously, but he did not just stand there, jaw dropped and looking impressed as the man from Grimoire Heart swung his sword around with his unprecedented dexterity. Instead, he took this opportunity, while Zade was dealing with fragments of crystal and bullets, to get closer to the battlefield; the Fire Dragon Slayer had considered taking cover behind the closest pillar to him on his right, but he realized this would probably be a very tasteless tactic to assume. His opponent was of such a quality that he was probably already aware of Houren's presence - if he hid, he would be selling himself short.
The Fire Dragon Slayer began to run as the deflecting began, with Houren taking note of the shallow cuts that Zade was suffering from the defenders' attacks, although he shrugged them off as though they were the most insignificant of nuisances. His defensive swordplay was certainly masterful, but it wasn't nearly as impeccable as it seemed. If they overwhelmed him with a flurry of offensive spells, they could defeat him as long as one of the attacks ended up being decisive. "Get away from there!" he shouted, while still running, with the magisterial voice that the heavens had so kindly blessed upon him, and inhaling as soon as the warning had been given. Zade had chosen the summoner's conjured familiar as his first target, and the Fairy Tail mage was under the impression that the defenders should be counting their lucky stars that this so happened to be the case, that they would not be on the receiving end of the madman's blade.
Zade could have easily have gone after the girl as opposed to the summoning, and Houren had the nagging feeling that he would have gotten her as well. Still, just because he had attacked the summoning instead did not mean that she was necessarily out of the danger zone. The swordsman's free hand and subsequent attack using the aforementioned free hand was not something that Houren could see from his position, but he had already given up the summoned creature for dead once he realized it had been targeted; the Fire Dragon Slayer intended to blow the creature away with one of his explosive fire attacks, and hopefully he would be able to take Zade along with it as well - his warning for the woman to pull out from her current locus was because he did not want her to get caught in the explosion.
"Try and cut this!" he came to a stop once his attack was in range and opened his mouth to unleash his own special roar attack.
For this offensive, the Fire Dragon Slayer aimed at Adriel, knowing full well that he might earn the ire of the ire of the summoner for destroying one of his creations. His hope was that the explosive following the initial attack would deal some significant damage to Zade, but at the cost of the summoning. The Grimoire Heart mage was a man of the sword, a melee fighter who got up close and personal with those that he fights, so even if he managed to destroy Adriel, Houren could still say with some degree of confidence that he was aiming his attack at the right place. His main concern was friendly fire, but they didn't call him a specialist in dealing collateral damage for nothing.

Her eyes of pupiless golden suns gazed upon Zade and never left him out of her sight. In the sake of the voice within darkness, she seemed to have taken an interest in this battling thirsty man. 'Mmmm, perhaps we should have a little taste of his blood too.~' thought the darker toned voice that spoke in Arisa's mind. In Arisa's foreshadow the Alter Arisa was swooning over the man, but this wasn't going to take over her concentration. 'You affected me once by letting our friend see you eat a woman's flesh! Making him believe it was me, but not this time. You're not controlling me.' she thought back within seconds. In that time span, Zade spoke his reply to her. He was letting her join if she wished or to perhaps 'study' him.
At first she chose to inspect him as he talked towards Alisa and then at the other man who had blonde hair. Who was he anyways? She watched his eyes, movements and waited for the perfect moment to study no longer. 'He sure is dreamy.~' thought the Alter Ari. She smirked alluringly with her full, glossed lips. Her heart was beating with adrenaline as she simply waited for action. Her grip on her staff was tight, but her hands were sweating as the actual Arisa was nervous, but at the same time ready.
After the chatting that Zade was so kindly in bringing, the 'battle' began. Attacks were coming from the other direction in which she stood as the blonde attacked Zade with whatever gun it was as bullets came out. Truly, that didn't do much as Zade used his sword to deflect all that he could giving that he did most of them. Her eyes saw a scratch on his cheek, slowly blood began to drip and slid along his cheek. Something within her felt hungry, thirsty and ready to attack. 'No... Not yet.' she thought in her mind, mentally shaking her thoughts. Arisa had to wait and soon it was finally the time to start.
Her eyes concentrated on Zade and his movements whilst he then charged an attack on the summon at the same times as a spell at Alisa. Knowing Alisa due to their closeness and many battles together she knew what Alisa would do. Rather or not she was going to do what she thought Alisa may do was in question, but it was a good time to start something herself. Swiftly she was ready to spell out of her staff as she targeted towards Zade. The man from behind was quite the type in letting people know his existence whilst he then attacked with a spell while going forward. He had enough time to get close while Zade defended, but probably not to stop the attack on the summon, whose laser passed by him by a couple meters.
'No better time than now perhaps.' he thought and swiftly looked forward as she let out a lazor out of her staff towards Zades location, the same time as Houren shot his fireball. Being quite the mage and magic. She knew that spells have the same speed, therefore timing it to where both the slayer's spell and her spell would hit with less than half a second between each other, both spells coming from different angles. If Houren chose not to fire - if he saw the summon destroyed, Arisa instead fired hers right away. Rather it hit Zade or the ground where he stood, an explosion of eight diameters was set off. She hoped that Alisa did exactly what she thought she'd do. Finally in hopes that the spells hit, she was prepared for anything rather it be defensive or offensive. Zade was a wild man so the possibilities were everywhere.

Shura Ranzu With the entirety of his body, he would slam into the large doors. There was two ways into that room, and this was the internal entrance. Whatever was on the other side of these doors, was a war. It would only take a single loss, and his entire work would be lost. This was his stand, and he had to set aside all of his feelings for the betterment of Phantom Lord. And for now, it was putting an end to anyone of that forsaken guild. He would push open those doors and find several mages screaming and yelling, all to face a single man. It would be easier it seemed, to find the man he was looking for. With his might and a heart full of rage he would begin to run to the collective mages. He would take his position behind them all. As mush as he wanted to end this in one fell swoop, he knew well enough that whatever they were going to unleash, would have to last a while. It wasn't known how much was done to him, nor how much these mages had shown, but for now he would have to keep all of his cards hidden. his magic was by no means safe to use in an accurate sense. Any spell he used would put them all at risk. Of course, hr could have shot his laser at the man, but to get it past them all, and hoping some invisi-mage wasn't there, was enough to make him care. It wasn't about Phantom Lord anymore. It was about doing the right thing. Here, he had to make sure that one foe fell. For now, all of these knights and mages would his friends. For now, he would protect them. He would open his palm, only for a seeming endless supply of bugs to flow from him. They would take in the area around him, sticking to all around him. He had to be aware of all that was around him. There was no toying around. The second a threat would near, he would unleash all of his spells. There was no holding back. There was no second battle.

The other hidden fighter also revealed himself and moved closer, taking about the same distance from the enemy as Alisa did, but cleverly choosing a different angle. This way, all of them together could put pressure on this giant of a man when the time came to fight, without hitting each other. As for the blond's revealed magic, Alisa noted he'd need extra space for his summons. Conjuring angels hardly looked ordinary, but neither did she know if this magic was unique or simply rare... Nor did she know Alice's fiancé beyond an appearance he no longer had. It gave her a nudging suspicion, but no real conclusion towards his identity.
But it seemed three opponents were not enough for the Zade, as he soon proceeded to threaten her partner. A cheap provocation... He needn't bother, for Alisa would have shown him no kindness either way, as he'd soon find out:
"Don't get ahead of yourself.", without losing her faint, frigid smile, Alisa saw nothing but the enemy and whatever ways she could possibly bring him down. He needn't worry about amusement as she'd give him no time to start chasing her faraway partner. It took more than threats to break her cool, but she acknowledged them regardless; she lacked the luxury of fooling around with this guy.
Granted, Lumen in her current state was far too weak to have any say here, at least so long as they all stood at full power. But even the weakest of cards can settle a game if played at the right moment, and Alisa drilled this notion into the clever Litwick a long time ago. She'd keep her distance so long as her presence irrelevant in battle.
Before long, the defenders opened fire, and she got to watch the skilled swordplay blocking all the individual projectiles. A single stray bullet got through, enough to draw blood, but too meaningless to actually hurt.
Heart pounding, adrenaline filled her blood at the thrilling sight only the strongest of foes provided: Accidentally or otherwise, Finn's training had began leading Alisa away from that assassin mindset of never tackling foes whose strength she couldn't surely overcome, and instead relish her natural fighting spirit against an overwhelming enemy.
But as the man blocked all that with his sword and dashed with speed matching hers, Alisa understood: Anything short of killing intent, surgical precision behind every attack would result in her own death. As he charged and fired a spell at her, she quickly stepped backwards diagonally, roughly Northeast in direction. Instead of turning around, she maintained the distance between herself and her opponent with multiple dashing steps - relying on well honed footwork - moving between one to two meters with each one.
This allowed her to dodge the single oncoming projectile without great difficulty, as it flew about four meters away from her; while keeping her eyes on the opponent, ready to react swiftly if needed. With a clear idea of his speed, position, distance, and direction, she telegraphed the lunge on the summoned angel, but made no motion to prevent it; instead seeking to witness his power with her own eyes and better grasp the enemy's level.
Not that she'd let him pull it off without taking damage in return... As he moved closer and the sculptress moved away, she focused a single point about three meters south of the angel, and when the right time came, conjured her own spell with an upwards flick of her left wrist, "There...!"
Though she could never predict the laser, as the killer locked his eyes onto his prey, Alisa timed her spell so it would hit him straight after he struck the angel. Right then, a four meter cluster of blunt, crystalline stalagmite erupted from the ground, centered on the focused point and likely striking Zade lest he change directions at the last minute. She aimed her AOE a bit further back so as to not end up hitting Adriel, partly to see whether it might survive otherwise... Which proved irrelevant when the rumbling blast upturned the stone floor, plowing through up to nearly half the length of the hall, leaving no trace of the angel had it been caught inside...
Guess there's no kill like overkill...
"Wow... Impressive.", she mumbled, eyes widening in a split second. Clearly astonished, not frightened, but definitely thrilled, Alisa felt some annoyance at not precisely measuring the swordsman's physical power, "If you want something done right..."
By the time he finished thrusting his big sword through the angel and shooting all over it, Alisa stood 12 meters from Zade and 10 meters from the east wall. Whether or not he defended against Alisa's Stalagmites, the Dragon guy's Fireball came immediately afterwards, and she knew Arisa would strike soon after.
Familiar with Ari's 'artillery angel' fighting style and spells, Alisa inhaled deeply, preparing another Diamond storm. Mustering all her experience, coordination and reflexes, the sculptress shouted another Kiai, the instant before the blond angel's laser hit either Zade or the ground underneath him.
It wasn't perfect, but she managed a narrower window of time than between Arisa's follow up to the Dragon Slayer; after the angel's light explosion ended, Zade had roughly a third of a second for defense lest he end inside another cone of cutting diamonds, coming straight towards him and reaching about 4 meters width at his current position. Any narrower and the crystal mage risked her own spell hitting the Seraph's, turning the deadly crystals into harmless dust in its wake...
If the cross wielding blond and the other new guy could keep this up, they could steadily force the mysterious enemy to reveal more of his abilities, and retaliate accordingly in the decisive moments to come.

As Zade completely obliterated the blond's summon and took its place, he had already managed to create a gap between himself and the girl standing next to it. Before their encounter, all that could be heard throughout the halls of Mercuries were loyal warcries and screams of agony. Now that Zade had found his foes, that sound had been replaced with something he actually preferred to hear. Loud blasts and clashes caused the entire grand hall to tremble and the pillars to shake from their foundation. Pieces of debris started to crumble from the ceiling and fall around the grand hall at random next to everyone in there. Zade, who had defeated his first foe, real or not, was prepared for what was coming next. After taking down the summoned beast, he placed his sword on the back of his neck and took in all the incoming hits. His robe took most of the damage and got destroyed after the exchange. He now only had a few pieces of fabric left hanging around his body, still covering him up mostly but no longer offering defensive qualities. Now that his robe had been destroyed, his powers had increased. The robe served as weighted training gear which decreased his potential to make it more interesting for himself in combat. With a few scars more across his body, he remained stationary. "Can you guys get serious now?" |

The proximity of his allies to the Grimoire Heart mage rendered it unfeasible for the Fire Dragon Slayer to utilize one of his trump cards, and there was no point in crippling his own magical energy reserves by pulling out one of his guild's signature techniques so early in the fight. At the very least, their opponent no longer had the luxury of simply tanking spells now that his robes had been destroyed, and he would need to maneuver his body carefully to avoid attacks. The Fairy Tail mage, still 15 meters away from Zade and looking at him from a slight angle, decided to take advantage of the fact that Zade was now surrounded as opposed to the worst case scenario where they all stood together like bowling pins ready to be struck. Mana quickly flowed from Houren's spiritual core to his hands, causing them to ignite in a display those southerners who worshiped the sun would be proud of. He slammed both hands together, combining both flames to create a larger flame that would be sent in Zade's direction; he did not resist the slight recoil that came with shooting flames out of your hands, going with the flow as he dashed backwards to take cover behind one of the pillars, the one in the second row on Zade's left.
''This damned guy..."
He moved his body so that it was touching against the pillar, and moved across it until he was no longer visible from his opponent's vantage point. He was fully confident that his allies would add to his fire spell to create yet another onslaught of offensive magic that would hopefully be able to knock Zade down a notch or two. The pillar was unstable, but it still offered him a small degree of protection for now.

'I must give him more....~' a voice spoke in Arisa's thoughts.
'More... like the heavens would want.' it spoke again.
'Yes... more like he wants.' it spoke lastly before something more happened. Arisa felt funny as she looked at Zade's body and listened to him wanting more damage to himself. Her mentally blacked out as something became anew. Her eyes turned black and her lips smirked. This wasn't Arisa, but it was her at the same time as she was a different her. She clapped her staff into her other hand as both of her hands held it together in the middle of her as she stood straight. Her left shoulder shrugged, left hand left the staff as she caressed her own left cheek while tilting her head into that very cheek. ''Oh I must know your name.~'' she started to say darkly and exotically. She didn't know his name, too bad. Her wings started to flap and then disappear into nothingness as she materialized them onto her back once more.
Her left arm dangled against her side and quickly back on the staff's shaft. The people around her -- she didn't care what they were doing as this man affected her own being. She felt semi-ignored by him though. 'I'll teach people to ignore me as I gaze upon them!' she thought and tapped her staff against the floor softly which caused echo sounds through the room and halls.
At that moment she channeled swiftly of her thoughts of spells that she wished to cast into the staff and happily twirled once in a dancing motion and when that was done she smiled. The staff shined so brightly as it lazored out a beam of beautiful golden light after another - three total. It went and targeted Zade in hopes that it was semi-enough for the hunk-a-love.~ ''Oh.~ Let me see your beautiful blood. The pretty color of red...'' she sung happily and her casual exotically tone that soon turned deeper toned, but still womanly at the last sentence. First one was a beam that pierces (which would land about a half a second after Hourens), second one does bludgeoning and explodes once again with a beautiful light of bliss as the third one is like the first one yet it goes towards the right instead of the left. Ari didn't care if anyone got it - as long as Zade got hit himself... unless it was Alisa of course. If that hunk of a man decided to take action or if an ally messes up, she would take action accordingly in her own way.

Shura Ranzu He was late to the party, as always. He would watch the spells land on the long haired man, only to destroy his clothing. He ate up all of the spells and attacks that were thrown at him. It also seemed as if everyone was focused on their own survival to notice each other. This would serve to both his advantage and his weakness. He had to figure who could do what, and fast. With his fireflies, he was only granted an extra layer of perception. With his gastly, he was only granted a few more options to his already emptied tool set. Before he could think about which to use first, the building itself would start to crumble, pieces falling around him. He begun to follow suit with the others taking up a pillar between him and the naked man. Before he would duck and await the next best opportunity to strike, he would open his mouth, as if to yell, only to have a bring light beam from his mouth. A laser would shoot from his mouth to strike at the man. At his distance, it would be one of the few spells he could reach him with. He would take cover, his palm facing the man. Wherever he would strike from he had to be ready. He had to be cautious, there was no telling what could be made of, even the tiniest of errors before this man. He was not armed like the rest of the people in the room, for now he had his magic, and that alone. It would be foolish to cast his spells unless he knew he could land them all. If he could get close enough, he could unleash them all, just as anyone else could. But with that proximity, so could that man . . .

One by one all these focused attacks rained down on the enemy, with a coordination such that even the mightiest of foes had little choice but defend... Only he didn't. She clicked her tongue at the total absence of reaction on the behemoth bladesman's part, as if their attacks naught but tickle him. Instead, they tore through his armor and visibly injured his body, though he scarcely paid attention. That's alright... Impervious to pain he may be, but if he could be injured, he could be beaten. For all his skill, this was no god among men, merely one who'd broken past their limits long ago. An achievement Alisa envied if nothing else:
"Weighted clothing, huh? How vainglorious...", she commented, eyes locking onto the heavy material that once belonged to his armor as it hit the ground with a thudding louder than any of their spells, cracking it visibly. To wear this against five mages felt like a greater taunt than his next words, yet the proud Alisa held onto her cool and simply smiled, gaze narrowed as she locked them onto his and transformed once again, "In that case... I'll show you something nice.", Alisa tapped her foot, clenching both fists, channeling mana. At this point, her magic power seemingly rivaled the enemy's in density, but at that moment, it flow out freely, covering the sculptress' entire body as she chanted the name of a foreign deity, "Vajradehā"
Even the sword on her waist had acquired a crystalline coating, just enough to protect it from the adverse effects of her spell, while the sensory spell she'd stealthily activated at the same time allowed her to better read both ally and enemy movements with keener detail - as well as dodge falling debris if needed. With her body now a pale adamantine form, she watched as the fire slayer initiated round two before vanishing from her field of vision and taking cover, just like the blonde with the big flashy gun.
Arisa's onslaught came right after, three beams fired in a quick burst; where either could secretly explode. Thus, she shortened the distance between herself and the enemy to slightly over eight meters, using those same quick, short dashes to either close the gap, or sidestep the mighty swordsman should he attempt to approach her. With her sensory abilities, she detected the faintest vibrations and allies whose positions she couldn't clearly see, giving her an idea of their locations.
Her chosen position placed her as close as she could without potentially getting hit by the angel's explosive spells at their peak size, or stand in her allies' line of fire; though she'd maintain this distance from both Zade and Arisa's projectiles should they miss their mark: Having seen them in action when fighting with and against her, Alisa knew the closest she could stand without taking damage from Ari's biggest attacks.
The time it took the light spells to either hit or miss sufficed for Alisa to glance at the blue fire mage - quickly taking cover a bit further away than his orange fire counterpart - who soon fired an spell to hit slightly under three quarter seconds after Arisa's last one.
"Boys hide and girls fight huh? So much for chivalry...", noted Alisa, rather amused
That said, his spell looked like just a thin fire beam, but she wouldn't fooled... Thus, Alisa used her closer position to Zade and unleashed her own attack, channeling all the power from her new form, whipping her clenched left and shooting a swift beam in the form of pure, rattling white chains: straight forward it her foe stood still, or ahead of his trajectory otherwise, to trip him over and halt his advance.
If successful, she'd strike him strike within in two fifths of a second, ideally mere instants before the fire mage's blast hit or missed: If it exploded on impact with Zade's chest, it might destroy Alisa's chains but only after they struck him at least once, grabbing his right calf as they damaged a fair portion of that leg.

Faster moving opponents emit more vibrations, making them easier to sense, while opponents further away mean those vibrations get dimmer and harder to detect. This seismic sense naturally filters down excessively powerful vibrations (such as earthquakes), preventing Alisa from being "blinded" by the sensory overload.
Name: Vajradehā (वज्रदेहा)
Rank: S
Mana Cost: 400
Requirements: Crystal Magic
Type: Offensive
Element: Crystal (No element)
Range: 25 Meters
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Duration: Sustain
Effect: Activated by clenching her fist, Alisa adopts a crystalline form over her body, clothes, and weapons. While in this form, she can project her crystallizing touch as an S-rank damaging crystal beam that can be controlled like a whip. The beam comes from her hand and can be up to 1m wide; Alisa can exercise some control over what it crystallizes, allowing her to grab it without hurting herself. Crystallization works like any other form of damage, gradually spreading from the point of contact over the foe as damage is sustained, up to 1m wide, S-rank damage area per turn. Targets must be linked to her body for damage to keep spreading, thus severing the beam - with S-rank damage or higher - will stop it.

"Captain, it's done. It is finally fucking done. This bloody war is finally over. Crocus is ours, the other side dropped their arms and surrendered!" A man cried out as he entered the grand hall. His clothes had smears of blood on it from all the battles he had endured to be able to finally say these words. While Zade attempted to take down the royals in here, his task was already considered completed. Arthurias had already murdered the king. The soldier cried out this joyous message once again before he ran away from the entrance of the grand hall repeating himself over and over again completely demoralizing all the soldiers of the kingdom's army. As they put down their swords, Arthurias' men, the people, screamed a victorious cheer that echoed throughout Mercurius. Zade, who had already unleashed his immense mana, let it calm down briefly after hearing those words. With his sword in his right hand which he kept steadily on his neck, he lowered himself and grabbed his eye-patch which was on the ground. As he stood up again, he placed the eye-patch back on his eye completely hiding his immense mana and power once again. It seemed as if he completely ignored everyone else in the room at that moment and everyone that could potentially target him. With his back exposed, he walked away from the mages and warriors. Even though he believed that they could finally offer him some fun, he walked away. "Don't die a meaningless death, it's over. My emperor, your new emperor, has ended it all. The world you once held dear has ended, the wicked games and sickness of the nobles will be cleansed by our hands. Go, you'll find out that what I've told you is true." As Zade released a sigh of happiness as he walked away. His skin was coated in a powerful spell that would guard him anyway. Slowly he reached the entrance of the grand hall once again through which he had entered only a brief moment ago with the intention to put his live at stake for everything that he and the rest of Grimoire Heart believed in. As the son of a commoner who had been raped by a noble and left for dead, he knew all too well what the nobles were capable of. He was just another noble's bastard brought into this world. His mother never recovered from it mentally and took her own life when Zade was but a wee toddler. The lady who had just passed him before he entered the grand hall reminded him of his mother, and in the eyes of the child cowering behind the door he recognized himself. He grew up under the care of a vagabond called Zadahan Dal'zavur who taught him how to hold a weapon in his hands to protect himself. He traveled with the man to faraway lands and fought as a mercenary countless times for a few pieces of gold. It was inevitable for it to happen at some point, but Zadahan passed away during one of their operations leaving behind a broken boy once again alone in the world. Zade took his name and roamed alone afterwards. When he lost in Bosco, he got captured and turned into a slave. The ones that seemed to be dangerous, like himself, were not used as servants but for entertainment purposes in the form of blood sport. Nobles would wager the money they collected through taxes and gamble it away on slaves risking their lives in battle against each other. Time after time, Zade was forced to take away the lives of those in the same position as him. When Arthurias murdered the Solace, word got out and spread like wildfire. Slaves began to rebel all across the world. Zade and many of the slaves broke free from captivity and began an armed rebellion as well under the name of Zade's Marauders while moving back towards Zade's homeland. His thirst for vengeance could not be satiated even after murdering countless nobles. Only when he met Arthurias, he found a new reason to stake his live into a battle once again. It was something much bigger than he ever imagined for who in their right mind would ever consider regicide to be the solution. It was then that Arthurias shared his true identity with Zade, explaining that if the king was dead, Arthurias would be next in line as the rightful heir to the throne. Zade did not wish his life upon the next generation. A life growing up without a father and mother, a life in which one is easily sold for a few pieces of gold and becomes a slave to be abused by the nobles. Even though it made Zade what he had become, he never wished for himself to become this person. The moment he heard Arthurias' words, he realized what he had to do to make amends. Zade picked up his sword and directed his men to end the meaningless war turning children into orphans, wives into widows, and the poor into slaves. "I don't hate you, we were just standing on opposing sides. I'm sure if you ever took the time to understand us, most of us in here would be on the same side." With those final words, Zade disappeared. For the few mages in the room not much had changed. The royals who they were supposed to protect were still alive, however, their moral compass might've been affected by Zade's words causing them to reconsider their allegiance in the future. In the end, they were not nobility either and here they were risking their lives for people considering themselves chosen above others. All that could be seen in the distance now, when looking through entrance of the grand hall, was Zade surrounded by his men who were cheering loudly as they carried the slaves and their children on their shoulders outside. Slowly they faded away in the distance going towards a better tomorrow, Arthurias' promised land. |
