Farren Claret
Once more, Farren's ploy to evade Dr. Mabuz ended up panning out once again. As he did before, Dr. Mabuz ended up requesting Farren's assistance directly from the the guild. It was fairly obvious that the Doctor highly valued the role that Farren was making on his current scientific strides. It was only a matter of time before Farren felt he'd be able to request a larger piece of the pie when it came to monetary compensation, however, when in the process of grooming someone in such a way it paid to be patient.

He needed to implant the idea in such a way that Mabuz felt he was doing it of his own volition, not that he was being persuaded to do so. When someone committed acts in which they firmly felt they carried out the decision on their own, they tended to over commit in some regards. Having Dr. Mabuz "over commit" to giving Farren a percentage of his earnings was something that he firmly supported. After all, more money was never a bad thing, and it would help put Farren back on the track he'd fallen off of as a result of his incarceration.

With the request in hand, Farren made his way to the mysterious magic shop that Dr. Mabuz largely made use of as a front for his other operations. Research and development of a nefarious nature took place behind these walls, and this was almost entirely known by all that lived within Oak Town. Yet, with how corrupt this town actually was, nobody ever felt safe enough to actually do anything about it. Though he didn't look it, Doctor Mabuz had the support of many the big players that resided in Oak Town. It was very hard to do something to the Doctor without creating some sort of domino effect - which was largely why Farren was so much against using force in any sort of manner when it came to his dealings with the Doctor - manipulation being the best course of action when dealing with him.

As he arrived to the shop, the good doctor seemed to have already been waiting for him at the door. He had a look of annoyance on his face, of which Farren could only assume the doctor once again felt he was tardy. Like always, the Doctor had a perception of time that nobody else in this world could grasp. Even if you arrived twenty minutes before the time of a meeting, you were still considered "late" in his eyes. Farren could only assume this was because if the good doctor wanted something, he needed it to be available in the same instance in which he desired it - showing up a second later than that was unacceptable.

"Here. I need you to deliver this to parcel to Castle Phantasm. It is of the utmost importance that this delivery arrive promptly and undamaged. Inform the guards that you're making a delivery and they'll let you inside. Understood?"

Farren Claret

Farren always hated when people questioned if he had been able to comprehend what had been said. It wasn't necessarily a large issue, but it was indeed a pet peeve of his. Regardless of this, Farren nodded, gesturing that he fully understood Dr. Mabuz's request. With the nod being accepted as a suitable response, the Doctor turned over the parcel to Farren and shoo'd him along. With this dismissal, Farren made his way off in the direction of the illustrious Castle Phantasm.

Navigating up the winding road that led to the gates of the castle took longer to traverse than he initially assumed it would take. He'd never attempted to travel up to this castle, and frankly, he never assumed he'd ever need to. Though he'd always regarded himself as someone that never allowed himself to be shaken by anything, this had always been one place that managed to unnerve him. Maybe it was the classic Gothic architecture that was able to illicit such a response. Or maybe it was simply the rumors of the foul dark magic that had once permeated the halls of the place. Regardless of the what the reason actually was, this wasn't a place he wanted to linger around longer than was necessary.

As he reached the gates of the Castle, he promptly informed the two guards that he'd been sent to deliver a package. With a quick nod, they let him in and Farren quickly began to traverse the halls of the castle in search of the person that he was to deliver the parcel to. It didn't take too long for him to be interecepted by a man that would introduce himself as Sirius Phantasm. Once the man was made aware of the reason behind Farren's presencen within the castle, he decided to accept the delivery on the behalf of his father - even forking over the jewels that had been promised upon delivery. Given that he'd been tasked with giving the parcel to the Phantasm family and not necessarily one member of the family in particular, Farren decided to turn over the parcel as requested.

With the jewels now in hand, he felt it was only right that he begin to vacate the premises. Every second that he remained within the castle was one second longer that he felt the hairs rise upon his neck. He wasn't able to quite place it, but the feeling that he was being followed was ever present with every move he made. The Phantasms were a family of high nobility and wealth; he began to wonder if maybe they'd been able to afford wards that held the ability to keep track of every person that set foot within the castle. It would certainly make sense, after all, it would explain how Sirius had been able randomly come across Farren as he explored the halls of the castle.

With a shrug, Farren put all of these thoughts out of the forefront of his mind. Thinking on any of this didn't exactly help Farren in the slightest, unless his goal had been to creep himself out. With his work done, Farren quickly left the castle and made his way back to the guild hall.
