Teiho Disgraced Survivor The sun decided it was going to destroy the sanctity of Teiho’s rest for the day as it sniped beams of light through his drawn blinds and aimed them straight for his closed and peaceful eyelids. Frowning a bit at this, he flinched before letting out a soft yawn and rising from his bed slowly. A quick stretch and scratch later and he was on his feet, clasping together what remained of his armor as he looked out his now wide open window and gazed over the village. He could taste the money on the air as he let out a small smile and hopped out the open window to begin heading towards the market to begin picking out a mission for the day. Arriving shortly thereafter, he glanced over the board in contemplation. He wanted something with a bit more oomph to it, and with his newfound freedom from Fairy Tail he didn’t have to worry about getting in trouble for doing business with the opposite side of the law. But the only issue is, those missions tended to need someone else to avoid it all going down the shitter, but who would help him. There weren’t any mages around as far as he remembered. He’d stand there in contemplation and wonder how he’d handle this situation. Word Count: 0218/1000 |

Once she was done with her morning run Ianthe would head into the Inn and clean herself up before heading over to the request board. Recently she found the value of money to be very important and she realized it was probably a good idea to have a lot of it. Ianthe didn't mind the work she did in order to get paid but she always promised herself that she wouldn't do any work that would have her hurting anyone. Upon approaching the request board her sea green orbs narrowed in on a white haired individual. Constantine? Need any help? Her voice carried her native tongue on the wind as she walked up to the board, standing next to him.

Teiho Disgraced Survivor His thoughts were interrupted as the young dark skinned woman from the other day had jogged up to him. Her cheery demeanor worked wonders in clearing up the contemplation on his face. He looked her over, and her apparent preparedness for any sort of missions that she would have to do were clear. Grinning, he’d nod and wave her over to discuss the possibility of working alongside him on this mission. He’d read over it quickly while he presumed she would be walking over. Breaking it down in his head, they’d have to find this guy Mattoro and talk to him about closing down a new mine that popped up and began to move him and his workers out of business. Closing the flyer, he’d nod and turn towards her, “Yeah I would definitely need some help on this. Basically we have to go in and blow out a mine. Don’t know why, don’t care why. But apparently it’s not safe for the foreman to do it, so he asked for help”. He hoped his quick summary would be suffice, if not he’d just hand the instructions to her, but he’d rather spend more time talking with her about herself or the mission itself than waste time on pointless details. A cool breeze picked up and whipped her long brown hair behind her, causing her to pull it into a ponytail. Being in Constantine's presence was odd because he himself was so... Mysterious. If she had to guess it was mainly because she hardly knew the man but she hopped that today would shed a little light on his character. Ianthe knew that she herself was nothing much to talk about, but this man had traveled to different lands and knew things she could only dream of knowing. She could only hope that he would share some of his knowledge on stories with her.

Teiho Disgraced Survivor He agreed that the job did sound fairly easy which necessarily wasn’t a bad thing. It was something to do and would earn him some quick jewels which were definitely necessary. He’d begin to lead the way towards the mines, careful to navigate through the growing crowd that had slowly formed during their quick conversation. He tilted his head in her direction, having to look down just a bit due to his small growth spurt during his coma. It was still new to him that he had grown so much without being able to experience it himself, however that didn’t mean he was all too happy about the experience. He’d give the young woman a small smile before turning back forwards, answering cryptically, “You could say that...” He wasn’t really dodging the issue more so, delaying that conversation for a later date. He was still sore from the sting of betrayal, and didn’t want to go into one of his moods nor act out in a way that would have the young woman think ill of him. It was bad enough that they were about to put many people out of work. Selective dispersal of information was definitely a bad trait that he was slowly starting to get used to, but that didn’t mean he was wrong for doing so. Sometimes information was just not needed. Sometimes, people just needed to let the truth stay hidden. Word Count: 0654/1000 |

The walk led them away from the crowd of people and as they walked Ianthe noticed the thinning of people around them. Eventually they were the only two people around that she could visibly see and it made her wonder where they were going. It wasn't long before they came to an abandoned shack and she realized that this must be where the person who placed the job up was. Looking to Constantine to continue to lead the way she would continue to follow his pace.

Teiho Disgraced Survivor Mattoro was a rough fellow as depicted by the various scars across his face and torso, however he held a rather intelligent edge to his eye. Teiho could tell he was not only observing, but judging the both of them as they approached the shack, the elder man likely plotting his next moves for whatever initiative or goal that he had in mind. Truthfully, none of that mattered to Teiho himself unless it involved the man betraying him, but considering this was a rather small and easy task, he doubted the man planned on reneging on their agreement. He explained quickly the task itself, including the removal of the workers and the destruction of the mine. Gesturing towards the bag of explosives, as well as a rather crude yet descriptive map of the mine with the locations pinpointed, he would stress that the task had to be performed quickly and without injury to any of the miners. Teiho would nod and stroke his chin at this, looking down at the map, he’d take in all the relevant details before turning back to Ianthe. “Like I said, fairly easy and simple. We’ll split this into two jobs. You’ll take the easier task of getting the workers out of the zone, while I nab a suit and sneak into the mine to set up the explosives. We’ll meet back up here after we’re done with our respective jobs. Any questions?” A simple plan for a simple job, hopefully they could get in and out with no issue and get paid for the job. Though he had a feeling this probably wouldn’t be the last job they would have to do. Word Count: 0932/1000 |

Teiho Disgraced Survivor He’d stop mid preparation, in between sticking an exploding lacrima into his vest and going over the map one more time. Their language was very distinctive and direct when it was used, and there weren’t many ways to get it mixed up. Of course Mattoro would be confused as he had never heard the language before in his life, but considering Teiho wasn’t losing his shit, he presumed that the boy had a way to communicate with the clearly distraught woman. Blinking, Teiho would turn and face her, a look of confusion on his face at her own lack of understanding of the situation. Sure he hadn’t been forthcoming with the details, but he didn’t know that the woman had a sort of moral compass that kept her from performing jobs of the unsavory kind. It wasn’t as if he were asking her to kill someone, quite the contrary he was asking her to save lives because of the fact that the mine would be exploding. He’d blink once more before opening his mouth to respond to her in her native tongue, “There’s no difference between legal and not, just a difference between having a roof over your head and sleeping in the streets. It’s not like I’m asking you to hurt someone, just direct the miners to a safe location so they aren’t harmed. As for why I’m sneaking in, well I could just walk right in, but that’d cause a few issues considering I’m not a miner so someone would get their britches in a bunch and then there’d be a fuss and nobody really wants to deal with that. So sneaking in is the easier way to get everything done. Just calm down and go with it. This should be quick and easy and we’ll be on our way. No one has to get hurt. Alright?” The tone he used was soothing yet firm. He didn’t mean to seem a bit patronizing, but considering he had explosives on his person, he was quite in a rush to get them off without killing himself in the process. With that settled, he’d turn back to gathering the supplies before walking over to the door and heading out. If she decided to follow, he’d continue the conversation on the way, if not then he’d just complete the job without her. Word Count: 1322/1000 |

At this point she was upset and hungry. more hungry than upset which was probably making her even more upset. A vicious cycle of hungry and angry...She was hangry. Looking over at Constantine her green orbs stop cutting at him as she tried to look at this from his point of view. She could understand his position if she really thought about it, but she was sure there were other ways to make money than shady sorts of business. Deciding she shouldn't dwell on it too much, Ianthe would quickly make her way towards the mines, breaking off from Constantine she made her way into the mines with a plan to make a little smoke, no fire though just enough to convince people that their was a fire inside. It didn't take long for her to find some supplies to start her little plan but when she did she right to smoking the place. Satisfied with her handiwork Ianthe began to yell " Fire, Fire " grabbing a helmet to sell the illusion she ran out towards the exist, passing many workers on her way out who without question followed her once they saw the smoke. She kept her head down, hiding near by as she waited for the other part of the job to be done.

Teiho Disgraced Survivor It seemed that Ianthe had taken his explanation, though she definitely didn’t seem pleased with it in the slightest. He’d talk with her about that later but for now he had a job to complete. Locating a random worker who was clearly taking a break, he’d walk up to the man calmly and haggle for his suit and hardhat. Coming to an agreement on a price, he’d trade the goods for the jewels before heading into the mine itself to begin placing each of the explosives in their appropriate locations. Double checking his work to ensure that not only would the mine only be collapsed and not turned into a rather large pressure explosive, he’d make his way out and wait until all of the workers had vacated the area due to Ianthe’s distraction. Thankful that she had followed his plan, he’d move over near her before activating the lacrima’s causing several explosions to go off deeper into the mine just before a rather loud roar could be heard followed by the entrance being blocked from sight by a large accumulation of dust, debris and stone. Nodding at the job completed, he’d gesture for Ianthe to follow him so that they could collect their payment and leave. He was intent on talking with her later so that she would understand his view on the matter. [Exit] Word Count: Complete |

Following Constantine once he gestured for her to do so, she stayed quiet the only sound coming from her was the growling in her stomach. She didn't comment on it and once they reached their destination and got paid she followed him back to Baska. Doing what she did made her question a lot of things. It was the first time she had felt that she had did something that was wrong. She didn't want to dwell on it any further, she wanted to eat and think and well she wanted an explanation.
