Audrey Namatzu After tearing down the shrine, she had no reason to stop. There was other places to tear down and destroy. It was not by her wishes, but of the god she had offered herself to. "A wish granter." she thought to herself, "If I break her shrines, she'll grant my wish." she smiled, walking along the paved road with Snowy at her side. All wishes came with a cost. You did what she asked of you and she gave you want you wanted, equal to the effort made. It was a fair trade. One could give something they were good at that came without struggle, to get a power they could not get normally. If they did right, then they could have all kinds of things. Audrey was not going to miss this chance. She continued down the road, reflecting on the life she lived. Was it right? Was any of it right? Maybe her own anger was misplaced. Maybe her lack of power was not of her own misfortune, but of luck. What good did magic do for anyone? She had taken what was left pf her belongings. All that remained was some scraps of food, the clothes she wore and a few trinkets she had collected along the way. Her shoes dirty from the rubble of the broken shrines. She sighed, it was going to be a long walk, but when she got there all of her questions would be answered. But what she wouldn't know, was that a festival was brewing. All of the mages of Fiore were gathered in one place, all to celebrate the season of spring. It was a place where duties were suspended and forgotten, at least for a little while. No one asked why, they simply put aside their differences to play some games. She would soon learn that this place, was the perfect time to find out more about the people that opposed this new world she strived for. ~ 328/300 Words ~ |
