Sage †
It was a fine morning in the city of Orichidia. The breeze swept across Sage's face as he walked the streets. His hands in his coat's pockets. It had been long since he had fun with people. He had been training for too long he forgot to take a nice brake, not that he necessarily needed it but he just missed the old days. He walked over to a nearby bench park and sat on it, looking on to the community that was playing in the park. Some kids are playing together, with their guardians sitting nearby chatting with each other. At one side there was a dog playing with its owner happily.

Observing these social situations was relaxing for him. He likes to analyze things and think about it, it is more of a habit now. Then at one point he wondered why wasn't he socializing with others. He was extremely shy with strangers and sometimes his conversations could become weird. That said, his social skills aren't great at all. But he often find people attracted to him. Probably due to his charms or how he treats others. Thinking about social situations it reminded him of his home back in the headquarters, it had been a while since they contacted him, he couldn't wait for his next mission.

With her umbrella in one hand, she slowly and gracefully walked down the path of the park she had previously been earlier. She had decided to go for a walk around the city, but something always led her back to here. It was probably the nature, but Grace didn't really know. So, she just stood up with perfect posture, as she walked down the path way. Her head was held up high, as the back part of her dress flowed behind her. Even after wearing heels, she was still able to walk with excellent consistency.

As she stumbled upon a park bench, with someone else there, she sat down. She honestly didn't care for this person, which was neither a good or bad thing. So, she decided it was time to rest her feet. After all, people with a high status in society like her deserved to take a break every once in a while. Unlike those scum they call the "lower class". Its disgusting how every single one of them thinks that they can't just sit around all day and scam people for their money. If they think they can get away with that, they have another thing coming. Even after thinking all these things in her head, she remained to have a calm and neutral face as she sat by that person. She couldn't tell at the moment, about what his status was, but she sure as hell wouldn't take her time to ask him about it. So, she decided to fix up her facial gesture a tiny bit, to make it look kinder and appealing, to try and bring out his answer from him. With that, she waited for him to respond.

Without expecting it, a woman sat on the bench park Sage was sitting on. She looked like she was from among the nobles, judging by her appearance and her delicate gestures. There was silence between them at first, until Sage decided to break it. "Isn't it wonderful to be with the people who cares about you?" he said while still looking at the people in the park. It wasn't the best first thing to say to a stranger, but at that time Sage truly feeled lonely, the warm environment reminded him of someone he dear so much. He then grin, amused of how sensitive he was. He turned to look at the woman and smiled, "I'm sorry for talking so weirdly," he then chuckled at the end, "are you new here? I don't recognize your face although I patrol a lot around here." he asked with a charming smile of his. As a holy knight, it is his duty to protect the weak. He often patrol around there although it wasn't needed for a holy knight to do so. But it was a habit of his as he used to be a rune knight. Perhaps the reason he didn't see her a lot was because he was too busy with his training that he misses some faces.

As Grace waited for the little lamb to strike, she heard his voice, and it seemed to be a very awkward one as well. Well, at least in the way he projected it outwards. She wasn't extremely sure yet of his status, but for now she would be friendly. She did not want to get on the bad side of someone important enough for her to care. So, she just played along, and had a smile on her face. It wasn't a true one, but it was an extremely convincing one.

After that, she answered his second question to her with extreme calmness and caution, "Yes, I am very new here. I am a starter up at the guild of Lamia Scale. I haven't entirely met anyone there, mostly due to the fact that I just don't really like talking to others. Was pretty much alone all my life, besides being with my parents. Other than that, the reason why I'm here, is because I heard that there were many talented mages from here. Most importantly, I needed to run away from Hargeon. Not because I was fearful, or scared of it. No, we just had a...conflict of interests. Well anyways, I'm in Orchidia now, trying to make a name for myself here. How about you, I've been trying to make out your status as a person, and I can't seem to make it out."

With that, she ended her extremely long sentence, making sure to stay neutral throughout the whole entire phrase. However, she did make phrasings seem more emotive than they actually were, to try and persuade the fellow guy that she was good and memorable. She could control her emotions and conversations extremely well, which is exactly where she is using all this training now. She knew that she mustn't show too much emotion, because it is both a sign of weakness and danger, especially when it came to spreading your name.

He didn't expect the long reply, although he wasn't annoyed by it. He had a reputation among his colleagues that he was such a good listener. He smiled, which is his normal face, as he hear the girl talk, he added some comments as she goes, "Wow Lamia Scale" . At the mention about she had to run from Hargeon made Sage go "Oh?" , as he was quite shocked and curious by the statement. Then he stated "That's nice" , as she said she wanted to make a name here in Orichidia.

The fact that she said she had been alone throughout her life besides her parent made Sage feel sympathetic towards her. But that didn't left the fact that she said she was trying to figure out his status. This gave away the fact that the firl cared so much about status, hence to Sage, it explained the Hargeon deal, maybe. He chuckled a little at the end of her sentence as it wasn't something that people would ask everybody, it was quite peculiar, and he likes weird things. "Well first of all I'm a mage. And I serve the holy knights. So I guess my status is a holy knight then?" he answered with the second sentence said a bit faster. Then the last sentence sounded like he was amused. He said with a genuine smile of his and continued smiling as he looked at her.

As Grace looked at the boy, she watched the words move out of his mouth. However, she first noticed the slight chuckle from him. With that, she tensed up her hand on the umbrella, but then took a quick breath, and regained her composure. As she looked at him, she said, "I know it's a weird question, but my parents are nobles. Status is very important to us. We just want to be sure we know how to act, depending on who's around us. We do not want our name to be badly spread around, due to a tiny mistake. But anyways, it's nice to see that you're a hard working knight. I really value the hard work all of you put in towards your cause."

With that, she did an actual smile this time. However, it wasn't full out, it was more of a gentler type of smile. As she did this, she stood up and looked over to the blonde and asked him, "So, what would you think about taking a walk around the area. I love this area, it's very beautiful and quaint. Don't usually get to see things like this, mostly just houses of the rich. So, I take any chance I can when it comes to seeing nature."

He noticed her getting tensed after he chuckled. She then went on and explained why it was so important for her to know the status of the people around her. To Sage this type of thinking is kind of uncomfortable, at least to him. If he wasn't a holy knight and was just a lowly waiter would she had continued talking to him?

"Thanks, it isn't much but it's honest work," he said after being praised by her. Then not long after she stood up and asked him if he wanted to accompany her for a walk. At the deepest of his heart he wanted to show her around and maybe get to know her and start teaching her that status isn't something one should worry about. But alas he had already arranged some plans later that morning. He had been called by the secret organization he had been attending to, the Hidden Moon. He wondered after all this time that they didn't contact him what would they want to see him for. He turned to the blonde lady with a warm smile of his, "I am so sorry but I already had some plans, I was just here to cool my mind off things.". He stood up and smiled at her then waved farewell, "Maybe another time, bye!" he said as he walked on.
