As Tomoe boarded the train, he received concerned looks from citizens and security alike. It wasn't every day a foreigner stumbled onto a train carrying a sharpened blade, rusty though it was, and the rugged expression of a man on a mission. As the train pulled away from Magnolia Station, Tomoe's spirits were dampened somewhat realizing he had no send-off crew. Truthfully, he was the late one in this situation. Underestimating how quickly the demons could mobilize their forces, Tomoe figured he had more time than he truly did.
"Bummer... could've spent more time around here if I wanted to. Duty calls, I guess.", the scarred samurai muttered under his breath, looking out the window as he allowed his thoughts to drift.
It wasn't a long time that he spent in Fiore, but there were many things worth keeping safe. Beautiful women yet to fuck, badass weapons yet to wield - there was much to keep an inquiring mind busy here. He had no emotional attachments to anyone or anything, but it wasn't as if that mattered anyway. He wasn't expecting to find his soulmate in Fiore or anything. In fact, he had no idea what he was searching for anymore. He was a wanderer in the truest sense of the word, and his wandering told him at this moment to conquer the demonic threat.
It wasn't the noble quest of some lone gunslinger in a western. Rather, Tomoe simply longed to hone his skills in battle and discover why he was allowed to survive on the fateful night of his vampiric turning. More than that though, the lingering doubts Tomoe toiled with upon his discovery of Fiore's magic and development as a nation became stronger by the day.
Those doubts would need to wait, however. In the sea of Tomoe's mind, clouded with emotions, he opened his eyes to find that he had already made it to Orchidia - the first stop on the way to his true location of Astera.
