“Mmmmmnnnnn…?” Perhaps it turbulence or some form of fresh draught in the room rousing Sofia Serena from her slumber a little bit slowly, the sapphire siren shifted with a groan on the couch that she had been using to support her sleep requirement, wishing silently that she had more opportunity to indulge the dependency a little longer. The azure eyes of the girl taking more than a few moments to part as she enjoyed even this relative comfort and tugged upon a blanket that she did not really remember wrapping herself up in, all too soon it seemed that the culprit for her waking was revealed as something small and with a feather light touch tickled her nose, causing the mermaid to chuckle softly and finally need to make use of her gaze with a soft sigh.
“Heeheeheehee… Looks like someone’s awake already, huh?” Giggling girlishly as she discovered a rather friendly fellow looking back to her as she found herself focusing on a figure that crept out not only from the blanket she was bundled in but also the blouse she was wearing, with a small but sincere smile Sofia greeted the serpent that had been snoozing with her from within the comfort of her shirt, finding few sights more endearing to wake up to than the eager affection of a an inquisitive little snake. Pulling her hand free of the confines of her bedding and licking her lips softly as she used her fingertip to pacify the curious animal who she had been slumbering with, the Valerican vixen couldn’t help but coo softly as her pet closed his eyes and nuzzled her in return, finding no small amount of relaxation within the soothing sight. However, even as she lazed there enjoying the cute companion that she had brought onto this airship, the nymph couldn’t quite get what lay ahead of her out of her mind.
Did I make the right choice coming here? The softness of her expression seeming to grow a little stiffer as she remembered the destination toward which they were heading, Miss Serena couldn’t help but feel a chill, and not just because what was in front of her was a seaside town. For once not heading off on some silly adventure or promise of an amusing discovery but the target she sought one that brought out sobriety even in this usually mischievous minx, as she relaxed in the company of one she knew would never judge her for being afraid, the water witch couldn’t help but dread what was waiting in the west.
I don’t really want to get caught up in senseless fighting, but people might be in trouble… Heading to the seaside not for a stroll upon a beach or a chance to take a pleasure cruise, from what the women she travelled with said, things would not be easy from here on out. Chaos what she would be walking into, it was brought on by the malign souls who broke through to this realm from somewhere far more horrific and wished to create a little slice of ‘home’ in the human world. This not something that she could stand for, even if it scared her, many people would suffer if the vixen simply let others do the work and waited on a response. Hell, even if she got there the siren wasn’t sure just how much help she would be, but it sure as hell beat the crap out of sitting around and waiting. Especially when one considered that Sofia was not the only person that she loved heading in that direction.
Besides, it seems like ‘she’ might need me…? Alisa quite firm in her desire to attend this calamity for reasons that the foreign fox had to assume had to do with her sense of valour and vigour, while the White Empress has seemed as dauntless as ever in the face of the threat, it had made Miss Serena feel sad to consider the idea of letting her go to something like this without her.
She’d never say it of course, but there are some things that you shouldn’t need to ask of a friend… The demons scary but the fear of something happening to someone who she cared about so strongly far more potent a terror, the teen might usually have been the sort who preferred to avoid conflict, but it seemed this was one fight that she simply couldn’t run away from…
