“Stick close, but where I can see you, sweetie~” The scene in front of her eyes as if hell itself was belching bile onto the street, as the mob of marauding monsters bursting forth from the dark hole that they had discovered, Miss Serena cautioned her little friend as she eased her hand from his grip and raised her ‘dukes’ for the next confrontation. Wishing she could just whisk herself away from this battle alongside the boy and the black beauty who kept their lead adversaries at bay, as Alisa unleashed her strength upon the crowd and parted it like a tide hitting some immovable and glittering gemstone, the sapphire siren knew better than to leave herself counting on idle hopes and desires. It would do none of them any good right now.
“Hnnnaaahhh!” Alisa certainly clearing away the lion’s share of these simple foes but their sheer number meaning that some managed to slip past her, as a raucous ravage rushed her, the vixen from Valerica let loose a battle cry as she let loose the fury of her fist against it. The foreign fox remembering the lessons she had learned in the skirmish before and proving herself the better, after rattling the skull of her opponent Sofia sent the fool rolling away with a roundhouse kick that in more peaceful moments she would have been rather proud of, right now the girl had concerns beyond her own glory and vanity and principal among them was the youngster nearby.
“Don’t let them get near you, run if you have to!” Adversary after adversary running toward her and the little lad that she strove to protect, after every move she made the mermaid looked toward Luigi to make sure he was alright, barking out orders as she threw punches and did what she could to keep an eye on him.
“There’s no shame in hiding! We’ll keep them back~” The small soul next to her certainly a brave boy but one she did not wish to see getting hurt in some foolhardy attempt to support the two mages as they went up against this garish gauntlet, as her pulse pounded the princess howled to him, dispatching foes left and right until she found herself standing in a very large shadow.
Damn… That’s…. Big doesn’t even begin to describe it? Turning at the words of the woman who beat back the tide for her, though Sofia had been feeling a hint of a thrill because of the fighting she had done so far, as she sized up their next foe the fox found all excitement seeming to melt away. A giant or at least something that could have given any colossus a run for their money seeming to step onto the battlefield, while the water witch did not know how it had managed to fit through the ‘window’ that had been torn between realities, she did know it was not good news. However, she was unable to let herself be daunted by this simple fact.
“T-They’ll have to do a lot better than that if they want to scare a mage of Blue Pegasus, right Alisa?!” The White Empress as cool as ever and her sidekick certainly not wanting to let the name of the guild be tarnished by showing the fear she felt simply by staring at such a massive enemy, with Luigi nearby and no doubt even more scared than she was, Miss Serena wasted no time in letting loose a little bit of boasting in order to bolster both the spirits of her companion and herself as well. Certainly hoping that a little false courage might lead to a little of the real stuff surging through her, even if it didn’t the minx knew she would need to be ready, and because of this began to mould some mana within herself as she sized up this titan and the monstrous minions that seemed to filter through after it…
