Effect: Throws the arm backward and pulls it back up front until finally forming a tight knuckle as if holding something tightly. After aggressively throwing the caster’s whole arm backward, the caster fractures the natural light surrounding him into numerous golden pieces of energy. When pulling the arm back up front it concentrates all those fragments into a single spot, finally once the caster forms the fist a shield is firmly projected in place. The shield is round and has a dimension of 32-36 inches. The spell projects a shield for defense anywhere within range; it remains completely stationed in the place that was created in. This skill is very versatile, as shields can be created in the air allowing him and others to jump on them to reach or escape threats.

Requirements: Barrier Magic/This spell requires for at least a single Gleaming shield in the field.
Type: Offensive
Element: Light
Range: 5 Meters
Cooldown: 1 Posts
Duration: Instant
Effect: A firm ground stomp and a slight twist all leading to strongly releasing from hiding the entire arm. The spell pulls back the shields active from Gleaming Shield to the caster and shoots them forth towards the target as darts. Dart dimensions would be at a max of 0.25 meters (9.8 inches) in length. When shooting more than one dart, the damage would be split between them. Collectively deals D-rank damage. So if the caster shoots two darts they deal half a D-rank each, and if shoot one dart it’d deal full D-rank damage.

Requirements: Barrier Magic
Type: Other-Buff
Element: Light
Range: 5 Meters
Cooldown: 1 Posts
Duration: Instant
Effect: The caster generates a sphere of light between their hands and then scatteres it across the target's body. Temporarily, the spell offers a slight boost to their endurance.

Name: Trails of Light
Rank: D-Rank
Mana Cost: 25
Requirements: Barrier Magic/ This spell requires a staff to be equipped.
Type: Healing
Element: Light
Range: 1-Meter Diameter
Cooldown: 1 Posts
Duration: Instant
Effect: The rise and fall of a staff with authority. Once the staff ascends it unlocks something, releasing a weak pulse of energy on a small radius. Once the staff touches the ground, it starts to glow from the inside and out. Trails of light start to slowly dance, it moves around within a small part of the field. Those inside the field are slightly healed and as long as the spell remains in effect and the targets inside it will continue to do so.

Hey Alistair, I'll be reviewing your starter spells.


  • Gleaming Shield: You're going to have to state the dimensions of your D-rank shield. If the shield isn't wielded by hand then you're going to have to state that its stationary too and unable to move once formed in a certain location.
  • Gleaming Strike Shield: Again, you're going to have to state the dimensions of the darts thrown. Also, its worth mentioning that all the darts collectively deal D-rank damage. Lets say you throw 2 darts, then each one would deal half a D-rank damage. You'd need to mention that in your description as well.
  • Light Guard: As a Hierophant, you get to cast Other-Buff or Debuff type spells, and not Self-Buff. If your spell deals damage, then its offensive. If it protects you from damage, then its defensive.
  • Trails of Light: The healing effect of the spell are all good, but once again, a healing spell only heals, and a defensive spell only defends. You'd have to choose one purpose unfortunately.

  • Gleaming Shield:Approved!
  • Gleaming Strike Shield: "They quip their original diameter and..." D-rank spells that aren't AoE (Area of Effect) would fall under the general spell dimensions. Max dimensions for your darts would be 0.25 meters (9.843 inches).
  • Aegis Lumen: Hierophants only get Other-Buff type spells. Meaning you can't buff your own self. Just to make things more clear, Buff type spells increase a certain number of stat points (according to the spell's rank) to either one of the four Attributes that a user has. So for example you're allowed to have an Other-Buff type spell to boost a teammates Strength Attribute. As a Hierophant, you can't buff your own self (as in you can't boost your own attributes). Hopefully it makes more sense now.
  • Trails of Light: Approved!
