I have had a magic idea for a while in my mind that I want to see if I can get working so I will ask here hopefully some one can help me solve the missing pieces.

What of the current classes would work for this magic idea?

This magic allows to keep it's user body today and in together when damaged. While still having the damage done and received, It heals surface skin and what else to keep the body together from the damage to keep the body in one piece. So best example person with this magic get a sword that would normally cut off their arm entirely it just goes through that part of the arm, But the user still feels the pain and the rest of the damage inflicted from what would be the slash. The effect of a slash going through the body still take effect, Nerve endings cut, deeper tissue of the flesh. As well it does not heal broken bones or organ damage it just holds the body together, This magic only effect the person who has it and can not be used on other people.

What class could I use currently and what else would be needed to have this magic work on the site?

Unfortunately, magic like this cannot be facilitated by a mere selection of a class, I would, however, recommend Regeneration Magic which has similiar properties of what you are looking for.
