As the wind blew one could hear voices carried upon. If one listened closely however they would discover the voices to be blood-curdling screams and shrills. The shrills echoed through the shady streets of Era as blood splattered across buildings. In the middle of a lone street was a mess of blood, bodies and organs, a massacre. The bodies were mutilated beyond facial recognition the only thing that was recognizable was the clothing and armor they wore. The uniform was recognizable across Fiore, known and feared by many. It was the uniform of the Holy Knights. Weapons and broken armor were scattered accompanied by severed limbs as dozens of bodies covered the ground, looks of horror carved into their faces. The pool of blood formed from the bodies was over an inch thick and made a squelching sound as it was stepped in. In the middle of the streets shaking in fear were three remaining knights covered in blood splatter. One of them even had pieces of a friend covering him, intestines with a bit of brain matter. What were they all afraid of? The being they were surrounding, weapons shakily pointed towards them. The being was a small girl, who looked no older than thirteen maybe fourteen dressed in gothic black and red style of dress with frills. She looked so sweet and innocent with long black hair and a charming smile. Perhaps what made her truly frightening, however, was not the giant axe as big as she was which she held in one hand, but the fact she was covered from head to toe in blood. Not a single spot of her silky smooth skin was left exposed, as she was thoroughly painted in the crimson liquid. Crimson hues glowered demonically as a frightening aura surrounded her. "D.D.Demon! Heretic!" One of the knights screamed in terror as he stumbled back, tripping over a corpse and fell onto his ass. "Oh please, stop with the compliments." The young lolita sound in a sweet-sounding voice as she licked her lips. Gripping the giant axe she lunged, attacking the closest Holy Knight. The massive axe cut through the air with ease as she held it one-handed. A scream tore through the air as the axe cleaved through the man's waist bifurcating him. Intestines fell to the ground as the man howled and screamed trying to push them back in. Snorting in amusement Yumi stomped down with the heel of her boot squashing his head like a lemon. "Two little piggies left." Smirking she turned towards the other Knight who was standing. The Knight dropped his spear, turned and started to run. Frowning Yumi gripped her axe and threw it, tossing the giant weapon straight towards him. The axe hit the mark impaling him in the back dropping him into the pool of blood with a thud. Approaching Yumi placed a foot on his back ass he tried to crawl away. "Now, now, no running." Gripping her axe the Lolita ripped it out without mercy before swinging it down chopping his head in two. Turning to the last Knight who was completely frozen in terror, Yumi stalked towards him. In his eyes she appeared like a blood-crazed demon. The last thing he saw was her smiling face as her face cleaved his head off in one blow. "How disappointing. After all these years they're still not much of a challenge." Yumi couldn't help but remark as she lifted her axe onto her right shoulder. "Malum I offer these pitiful fools up to you. May their blood fill your river. May their skulls add to your glorious throne." |

However, even in their own town there were locations that the knights refused to visit. An area within the police's own headquarters that was more like Oak town than Era: a place full of the social rejects, the dark and shady characters of Fiore. It was a place Odin felt comfortable in as it was these people -the people the rest of society had thrown out or tried to exterminate- that had been the most accepting of the Lich in Fiore. They were scared of him, of course, but they wouldn't leave the room if he were present, and wouldn't openly antagonise him. If they did, well then no one else in the room would think of doing the same at least.
And yet, every so often, there were moments in the region that Odin couldn't help but be surprised about. He was used to crime in this area, it was a given, but usually these crimes were limited to petty thefts or maybe a beating, someone would turn up dead maybe once a week. But brutal killings, massacres, they were rare even here. Which is Odin was curious about it.
He had heard the telltales sounds of someone being murdered: the agonising screams of pain coupling with the swish of a weapon swiping through the air in a beautiful symphony. Odin had followed them, and eventually found his way as a head rolled out from a side street and into his path. The bloodied trail led into an explosion of crimson, with what looked like a little girl in its centre, her otherwise beautiful dress completed coated in the blood of whoever she had killed. Odin didn't even bother looking at the corpses, he had no idea they were holy knights, and it wouldn't matter to him if they were. He just had one question to ask this little girl, a girl who's face he knew all too well, despite having one that would not be recognised.
"Yumi?"

Fiore was having a rough time adjusting to new threats. And if this country was having that much if a hard time then they would have an even harder time dealing with Vali, especially considering what he had in store. The newly turned werewolf stood atop a building munching on the arm of a now deceased Rune Knight. However, behind him laid a handful of other knights who had been persuing him for days. Even after successfully changing his appearance, the knights were still able to find him. Yet here he stood unharmed, unmaimed and untamed. Why was he here though? For starters this part of Era was more chaotic then the others. He was hoping to scout the entire town for when he commanded his men to raid. That's right, raid. He was tired of trying to become the man both countries needed him to be and decided that only Iceberg deserved the best version of himself. The former elf twitched at the sight of the little girl beneath him slaughtering her opponents. She was a beast. From the top of a building in his black cloak he could still feel her energy. She reminded him of the demons...but still a bit different. Vali smirked for a split second before his lips dropped. He watched the commotion beneath silently. The savory flesh made a tasty snack for the show beneath him- that was until a Lich approached the girl. Vali's eyes squinted. Now he wasn't a doctor or anything so he couldn't exactly determine who someone was based of their bones but he was sure that this was the Lich that managed to hurt his friend Judith. Despite the fact that he was no longer a Fairy, Judith would always be his friend. He was just that loyal. The Jarl clenched his jaws. Managing his rage now that he was a man-beast had proven to be harder than he would have thought, but still he managed to restrain himself from attacking the skeleton. So he watched...and waited. In a second or so, the young Jarl learned that the girls name was "Yumi." His ears were well adjusted to discern noise from way further then where these two were standing, so to him they spoke loud and clear."Hmm..." he observed with his arms crossed. I wonder what powers he possesses. he thought with a slightly devious look. The noble Viking seemed to be changing after all. Perhaps giving in to his monster instincts. And her too.. he glanced at the kid. From a distance he could smell another new person approaching. This one didn't reek of death or blood but the silver titan paid it no mind. The two in front of him were interesting enough. As much as Val wanted to knock the liches skull off, he was probably a better ally than enemy. A smirk. |

As her name was called Yumi raised an eyebrow, wondering just who it was who called out to her. Not many would dare to call her name especially under the circumstances where she slaughtered holy knight's like pigs. Lifting the massive axe that was dripping with blood the lolita slowly turned towards the source of the voice. Two crimson hues that shined like gems widened slightly in mild surprise but twinkled with amusement as their owner laid eyes upon the one who called her. "Hooooo." Yumi exclaimed slightly in her soft serene voice that was seductive to the ears. Her dainty eyebrows raised up ever so slightly to show her amusement and shock at the being who had addressed her, perhaps she should say what addressed her for it was no man. The creature was not one of flesh and blood like the others no it was different. "I did not think I a bag of bones would no my name. I do not recall ever meeting one of your kind before. Are you perhaps the spirit of someone I have killed come back for vengeance? OR a creature summoned from the abyss who had taken shape in the mortal world? Or perhaps someone who has shed their mortal confines to become something else?" The demoness spoke softly her tone portrayed her amusement as she eyed the strange being before her. The demoness could sense the unearthly presence of the creature before her, but also felt an odd sense of familiarity with it, but she didn't know why. But before she could reply or even perhaps achieve her answers another spoke. Raising a somewhat annoyed eyebrow Yumi turned to the source to find a cloaked man with a golden arm. "Hooo. Tonight is filled with strange individuals, what brings you by righty." Yumi chuckled softly as she eyed the golden arm seeming to make fun of his missing hand. "It almost seems like the start of a bad joke. A Daemon, Nephilim and Lich walk into a bar." Yumi couldn't help but comment as she gave a harsh laugh at the end. "While I'm am more than happy to slaughter the mindless puppets of Illumin, why should I trust you? I have only returned from the Abyss and this chaos and turmoil has meant nothing to me. Chaos I revel in it it is my desire. However...." Yumi seemed to pause at the end of her rant appearing to think about something. "It is not chaos brought upon by me or my God, so it is an affront to him..." Yumi seemed to mumbled to herself, but her words were clear as day. "Malum revels in all chaos but this is chaos brought upon by Illumin and his ilk. What a dilemma. My Lord give me guidance." The lolita was speaking to herself, almost as if she had gone insane and was ignoring the others. Malum a Demonic God of Destruction, Chaos, War and Blood, a fierce being whose age was unknown. A creature who emphasised chaos and sat upon a throne of skulls surrounded by a river of blood. So knew of this terrifying God, but others did not. Those who did would know all those who worshipped him were apostles of death, leaving nothing but destruction and slaughter in their wake. Malum was not a God for the faint of heart to worship or even mention. "Should I join with him, my Lord? This chaotic order brought by the light does not give you power. Yes....yes, they should be killed, remove from the land. I live to obey." Yumi's eyes had begun to glow a demonic shade of red as she spoke to herself. But reflected within those hues clear as day was a strange demonic symbol. A chaotic aura surrounded her and didn't seem to match her own, it was otherworldly and reeked of death and destruction. It was as if something from another world had answered back, something terrifyingly old and powerful. "My Divine Deity Malum has answered my prayers! It would be in my best interests to assist. But know this Nephilim get in the way of my Lord's orders and I won't hesitate to take your head!" Yumi remarked without a shred of fear towards the Nephilim despite the difference in their magical auras. It seemed she didn't fear those above her level of strength. To prove so she even pointed the giant battleaxe towards the robed man.

Then something changed. Odin felt a different air as another man approached them. His face was concealed initially, but he radiated power, as he pulled off a mask with one hand, raising the other to show he meant no harm. Odin found it funny that someone would try and talk to a Lich and a Daemon without expecting trouble, but all thoughts of amusement left him as he saw the face of their new acquaintance. Konstantin Sokolov, the only man to have killed Odin other than Odin himself, and the man responsible for the return to a dark path that the Lich had found himself on.
He spoke with that self-same tone Odin had come to know from his 'friend' as the man offered those gathered the chance to destroy the Illumin faith and the seraphim that protected it. Odin kept quiet as Yumi returned with some comments and the man continued, even offering to fight them if they didn't trust his strength.
The it came. Kon looked towards Odin directly and suggested they 'discuss' what occurred in Orchidia, when the two fought and the Lich was destroyed for the first time. Odin looked into his old friend's eyes, looking for any sign or recognition, but there was none, and so all he said was "I will help destroy the church."
He then looked towards Yumi, to see her reaction to it all. It seemed she had a bit more of a dilemma that Odin, which was to say a lot, and she was communing with her god to find out which path she should take. Much of his former ally's beliefs Odin could not remember, but once she uttered his name, it all came back to him. Malum, a great demon god, a being even Lucifer had feared when Odin had been a vessel. It was through his demon partner that Odin had first learned of the god, and of the terrifying power he controlled. Yumi was someone to be wary of, and definitely someone to stay on the good side of. Luckily for both Odin and Kon, even if the latter didn't know it, Yumi decided to join the group, sowing her own chaos by destroying the faith. Although, in her typical style, she did end by threatening to kill Kon if he got in her way.

What a fool Konstantin was. He had prepared a cloak specifically to protect who he was yet he seemed so eager to reveal himself. On top of that he revealed his plans way too early. Foolish indeed. You could never be too cautious. It was obvious that Kon was anxious and rushing towards his goal- which means he wanted it bad enough to...compromise Vali the wolf could hear someone breathing on the edge of the building the trio below him stood in front of. The person was in pain, but he hid himself. He could have been some innocent man, or he could have been a Knight. Either way he was already exposed to too much. So without hesitation, Vali dropped from the roof to the side of the building, not yet approaching the trio. Still he could hear everything. The Liches name was Lucifer and he had agreed to help Kon on his mission. Apparently Kon has wronged him before though, or at least that's what the Jarl took from it. The girl on the other hand was strange. She had performed some ritual to her god to ask if she could help the armless man. Vali didn't see it in time though. The werewolf landed beside the person hiding away from the creatures of darkness. The red headed Viking tapped the man on the shoulder before scaring him. "Boo!" he teased as the man immediately jolted away. Within seconds the unnamed individual had exposed himself to the back of the Lich, but to the eyes of Yumi and Kon. Vali strolled behind the man with a snicker, finally revealing himself to the three. The man was a Knight which made this more of a valid Kill. "Guess I forgot one." He twitched lightly. With a quick dash, he caught up to the man, grabbed him by the back of his neck and slammed him onto the ground. Then, he placed his foot onto the shoulders of the man and used his hand to grab the mans hair, pulling as he screamed in pain until eventually it happened. His head had been torn from his neck. The process was quick and efficient really. From the time the man ran out into the open, until now only took abut thirty seconds max. "Hello Konstantin..." he began, ignoring the presence of the other two. "Last time we met you were...a little different. Aye, I guess I was too." He began, moving towards the Nephilim with a head in his hand. "You would be wise to keep your tone down in the future. There are always people listening." The werewolf continued walking until he was only a foot or two away from Kon. "I do not care about your quarrel with your god. I do not care about the Quarrel with the demons. Unlike these two, you will have to buy me." He smirked, as he spoke with a cold and collected tone. "I will help you..." He raised a finger. "Only if you help me destroy the council....and the king." He proposed with a shrug. |

A dark aura began to emanate from the demon in the form of a young girl. Sinister energy leaked out from her tiny body as a strong murderous intent began to be released in droves. It was like a dam breaking open as the amount was tremendous, an indication to the number of people she had killed. The murderous aura had become a physical manifestation done only through the killing of countless individuals. "Lucifer?" Yui questioned as she eyed the bag of bones, her murderous aura was fiercer than ever and had grown exponentially since they had last met. "Hooo I didn't expect to run into an old friend after all this time, nor for he to have turned into a bag of bones. It seems I am running into nothing but nostalgia these days, first someone with the name of an old comrade, Caius and now you." Yumi couldn't help but comment as a wave of nostalgia hit. After being gone for two years she hadn't expected to run into an old comrade of hers. "It seems leaving the Abyss after these past 2 years at this time was truly fortunate, never would I have thought to run into an old friend." The demoness spoke softly with a sinister smile on her devilishly young lips. She hadn't hidden anything about where she had been for the past two years, directly mentioning that she had been in the Abyss and had only left recently. Crimson hues moved as someone else showed up. An intruder? She appeared ready to kill, but the newcomer seemed to know Konstatin. Enemies? Friends? Acquaintances perhaps? However at his grandiose request to only assist Kon if he helped him destroy the council and kill the king, Yumi began to chuckle. The chuckle at first was soft and gentle as her shoulders shook but soon it began to grow. Soon the chuckle erupted into a burst of gentle laughter that evolved further as it fell into insanity. The laughter transformed becoming deranged as the red in Yumi's eyes bled into shades of black. A fierce demonic aura erupted from her body kicking up dust and wind as it thrashed around violently. Lightning thundered around her loudly piercing the ground and forming cracks in the ally. "Destroy the Council? Kill the King?" Yumi spoke in between her mad laughter. A look of madness reflected in those demonic hues as a twisted smile formed on her innocent red hues. The expression she had was one of madness, it looked horrifying on such a young face. "Truly a wonderous opportunity! How I have long desired to gut those pigs and spread their blood across this land!" Yumi spoke madly as she swung the massive battleaxe in her possession. The giant weapon crashed into the streets beside her shattering the concentrate under its force and weight. The lolita licked her lips as she raised the massive axe and rested it on her right shoulder, the fierce aura released from her body continued to flow. One could not only see the bloodlust in her eyes but fell it. The desire to kill was strongly emanating from her body as a thick stench of blood wafted into the air. "It's been so long since I've had a chance to truly let loose. The Magic Council had truly grown arrogant and has forgotten all about little old me since my disappearance. It's about time I let loose and make them remember why they labelled me the Witch of Carnage!" Yumi laughed again completely revealing her violent nature. For fifty-odd years her name had spread terror across the land of Fiore as she left nothing but a trail of destruction and bodies in her wake. |

A multitude of thoughts flashed through Odin's mind as he listened, deciding that it would be best not to reveal his thoughts to the men lest they use those against them. Kon was a former friend turned enemy turned ally; Yumi held her god above all else and would switch at a moment's notice to cause carnage, and then there was a newcomer that Odin had never met before. There was no reason for Odin to trust any of them, and honestly he didn't. He would help them as they were people, for the most part, he knew he should stay on the good side of, but he had his own plans and desires that likely didn't entirely match up with theirs. They all seemed confident in their abilities, and Odin knew they could probably all take out a council member each, perhaps two at a push. Taking down the church, the king and the council with the four gathered would probably be a doable thing. These four, of which Odin was included, had the power to change the course of history.

No matter who or what he was faced with, The mighty Titan stood confident. He had the grace of a prince who was bound by fate to be king. Though humble, he was proud and, yet he was never the type to be boastful or hubris. In fact, before he had undergone certain changes he was only a little bit more level headed. Now he was just a lot more aggressive. When he spoke to Konstantin, he wasn't expecting a "no." - at least not outright. This mysterious holy man was in need of a team. Why he approached the younger girl was truly a mystery, but he probably needed Vali. Any smart man would negotiate before denying off rip. Alas, Vali respected how his acquittance had responded. He at first doubted his own strength, even mentioning an army. The Jarl smirked, watching and listening to Kon patiently. The angel in the end settled with "Aiding" Vali. Even adding in some information that could have been useful but ultimately didn't matter if Kon could not directly help him. Although he had managed to completely ignore the other two for now, upon requesting aid in destroying the council and the royal family the little girl exploded with chaotic laughter. The Desiertan Viking turned to look at her. She was funny in every aspect of the word. In a sense she reminded him of an old friend he had. Corrupt, aware of their insanity, comfortable in it, and ready to spend the after life in darkness. He snickered. Yumi was more excited than Kon- that much was obvious. She didn't seem like she had any personal vendettas- probably just obsessed with destruction. Val glanced up for a split moment as he witnessed the sky darken and boast with lightning. It was coming from this little woman? "The Witch of Carnage!" Vali shouted after her. He announced it like he was presenting someone of utter importance. She probably was an important being. She seemed to dislike the Council but was probably on board for the fun. Was she a prominent figure in this country? The way she spoke was as if she had been feared long before today. Then, still with that devilish smirk he turned to Kon. "Where did you find this one? I like her! She does not fear this country or it's elites, so why do you!?" Vali began. His voice lowered back to it's normally cold tone. "You say you are not powerful enough now? So become more powerful." He answered as if he had come up with some sort of master plan. "If it is an army you are worried about, then fret no more brother. I have two armies." He twitched. "You wield a fraction of power from your god do you not? And we have the Witch of Carnage!-" He swung his arm towards her, presenting her again. "And how can I forgot the walking dead man himself!" He turned his head towards Odin who had been rather quiet. "What do you think? Shall we obliterate the Holy Knights, the council, and the King?" He asked Odin. "Or will you pass on the opportunity to work with the vessels of godly power?" |
