The situation that triggered him occurred was when he entered a convenience store that had just about opened up. It was around 7AM at this time and the sun was starting to rise from the horizon.
While shit-faced, Noel overheard a noble-seeming person step on the foot of a sleeping hobo(most likely by accident) from an alley. He didn't witness the foot-stepping, but overheard the cry by the previously sleeping hobo. The noble-seeming person took off running, leaving the alley through opposite side of where Noel stood.
Feeling justified to investigate, Noel quickly ran up to the hobo to check him out.
Now it may be true, it takes little to set Noel off--especially in this town. But the sight of the broken foot, knowing that this hobo had no ways of finding the money to heal it was unlikely made his teeth grit. It wasn't exactly like Noel was rich either. Noel looked back to the exit of the alley, the person who had done this had already disappeared. Noel was angry about it, the hobo was still screaming in pain.
"Alright, we'll splint this up buddy."
"AAAA!!"
Crack.
Noel had to straighten the foot, lucky his medical background could help with this. But he was shitfaced. He recalled once upon a time, reading late splinting techniques late at night. The book said, "Wrapping materials for the splint can include bananas, climbing webbing, torn shirts, pants, or other pieces of clothing." Alas, as he begun recalling it, he thought it said bananas instead of what it actually said; bandannas. In stereotypical fashion, the hobo had slept next to a trash can. Noel glanced over to see a few banana peels hanging over the edge of the can. He picked them up, while the hobo started to calm down, tears in his eyes. Noel tried to calm the hobo down, saying he'll fix his ankle.
Noel recalled that one of the vital rules about splinting is that the joint above and below the broken bone must be immobilized to protect the fracture from growing further. For example, if the elbow is broken the splint should stop both the upper arm and lower arm from moving independent of each other.
After pressing the banana peels against the hobos ankle, the hobo got startled and started to kick Noel away with his other leg, having mistaken him as his assailant.
"HELP!! HELP!! THIS MAN BROKE MY LEG!"
The alley hobo begun yelling out. This was Noels queue to leave, even though he tried to help him out. Noel exited through the alley with some speed in his step, using the same exit as the original assailant did.
The situation described above is the reason why Noel was still up.
Several hours later, Noel could be seen through Crocus hanging up posters. He chose wooden walls, requiring the least amount of effort. Noel isn't typically to fight recklessly, but he'd just recently acquired a new weapon and had an itch to test it out. Along with the anger that burned in the chambers of his heart, he had to take it out on this stupid town. The posters he'd spend twenty minutes hanging up around town read;

The male had gotten some rest before he was ready to square up in the Domus Flau. After a rest, Noel still felt the burning wrath well up inside him; he wanted to treat someone else the same way he was treated. With a pinch of luck, he'd manage to reserve the Domus Flau for a bout. He sat atop a medium height pillar at the center of the fifty meter square arena. The tall male surely would be like a sore thumb sticking out to whoever entered. The four entrances to this place all had a poster up about this challenge.
Noel was mentally prepared to fight whoever dared to enter and, who would approach Noel in recognition of this bout. His gust gauntlet protected his left fist. Other than his weapon, Noel wore his regular clothing. A lit cigarette rested against his lips. The arena had a few people watching, nothing out of ordinary. Some stayed all day, watching fighters of the Domus Flau. Noel remained aware of his surroundings, watching anyone who would enter and responding appropriately depending on their movement.
"Any second, ..... "
Nobody showed up, so he left.
