Daily, ever since Aegis took her to the bathhouse, she goes there every night before bed. There was nothing like it. She sat there listening to the birds as the noon sun heated the area up as it was the hottest time of day. Soon it will be time where people became half-naked as she heard during summer things happen. Aura was not given details, but maybe she will make more friends. Maybe she will get further away from Master or perhaps if she was unlucky, even closer. Today seemed quiet as all she heard was the nature calling.
Indifferent

As she walked she caught an unfamiliar scent in the air. She paused to sniff as it smelled human yet... not human...? She looked away, trying to track the source of the smell. She was still adjusting to her new senses and hadn't quite mastered tracking or identifying smells. It didn't help that this smelled like a young girl... yet also a fox... or some other small animal. She walked slowly, Winter following, as she sniffed the air.
The other scents in the area weren't helping matters. She could smell food and drinks at the 'bar' and other people walking about doing their own thing. Curious though, she continued onward until she spotted something of intrigue. Her brown eyes landed on a young woman alone on a bench. She was mostly human but appeared to have fox ears and a tail! Rinni hadn't encountered anyone like that before. Where had she come from?
The werewolf sped up her walk in order to catch the girl in case she would move before she got there. She wasn't sure what she was planning to do once she got to her, and therefore as she reached the fox-girl she paused and lightly cleared her throat to get her attention. She was blushing slightly in awkward, embarrassment of suddenly approaching a stranger but, here it goes.
"Excuse me...? I've never seen you around here before..." She began, awkwardly. "Are you new here...? Visiting, maybe...?"

It was silent until someone finally approached her. Her eyes studied the young girl who had a companion. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she slowly got on her knees and looked at the fox within their eyes. Slowly, her own whitetail formed into nine tails total. "Curious." was all she said quietly and then just remembered that there was a girl here. "I.." She was at first unsure if she should say anything, but she seemed innocent enough. "I am not." she spoke with an accent that made it obvious that she was truly not from Fiore. "Few weeks I have been here." She replied with a smile as she stood up tall to look at the girl.

Rinni watched as the girl finally acknowledged her, standing up to reveal her full height. Surprisingly, both girls were of equal level and could easily look at each other in the eye. She was surprised when her single tail had split into nine, and as such she couldn't take her eyes off the woman's tails. What was she? She never met anyone like her before. Then again, she hadn't really traveled very much. Maybe where she comes from her kind os common? Normal, even?
I am not.
She couldn't quite place the accent, but wherever she was from it was obvious she didn't speak Fiorian. She further confirmed this fact by stating she had only been here (Rinni presumed she meant Fiore) for a few weeks. She could tell the language was difficult for her. This made her nervous as the werewolf wasn't sure how to properly communicate. She rubbed her right arm with her left hand awkwardly as she examined the strange woman. She blushed visibly at how attractive the stranger was, feeling so plain and boring in comparison.
"You've... You've been here a few weeks?" She repeated. Then she carefully asked. "In Marigold... or in Fiore?"
She wanted to make sure she understood her meaning, to avoid any awkward misunderstandings. She couldn't tell if the girl was the same age as herself or older, as she appeared quite young. But, in this world, looks could be deceiving. Her appearance could be magic or even an immortal race for all she knew. She then realized she had forgotten to introduce herself.
"Oh! I...um... my name is Rinni Faithe. This little one with me is Winter." She looked at the white fox then back at the woman. "What's your name...?"
Sat Jun 13, 2020 9:11 pm
"Aura Chou." She nodded as she told Rinni her name in a way she could pronounce it. "Just .. Marigold?" She questioned the name as she never found out by anyone what the name of this place was. "Place's name?" she curiously wondered if that was what she was meaning. "If so, yes." She answered the question anyway. "Not sure what other places look like though," she spoke once more. Her head tilted to look up at the clear sky, hands behind her own back, and kicked the ground a little as a child would that was filled with curiosity. "From Joyan, but no tell anyone." She made a cute pouty face as she whispered it. She didn't want the whole world to know. She didn't want her master to come to find her... No. Slowly she backed up as she looked away with her arms now dangling against her side. What should she all say? She felt anxious around new people.

Rinni blushed a bit after complimenting her, hoping it didn't sound too forward of her. The fox-woman seemed confused by the town's name as if she had never heard it before perhaps? Or maybe she was simply new here? Whatever the case, Rinni decided to confirm Aura's uncertainty with a nod. "Yes, this is Marigold."
It would seem communication was going to be an issue they would be working through due to language barriers. She didn't seem to know much Fiorian, but at least she knew enough to understand. That would make things a little easier. So, she'd only been in Marigold a few weeks? Rinni scratched her chin wondering how long the girl had been in Fiore then. Her comprehension of the language clearly wasn't perfect, from what Rinni could tell, so she imagined she hadn't been here too long, or maybe she had someone teach her a bit.
From Joyan, but no tell anyone.
Aura had leaned in whispering these words to Rinni, causing the Encan to cast her a look of confusion. Odd, and a bit suspicious: why would she be secretive about her birthplace? Was she hiding a deep dark secret? Or running from something? It wasn't any of her business, really, bur curiosity made her ask, "Why? Is something wrong?"
Honestly, if she was in some sort of danger, Rinni would be more than willing to protect her. That's what Penumbral Guard was all about; what she was all about. If this fox-girl needed help she could easily seek assistance from Rinni or any other Guild member. She just hoped that even if the Joyan gives no reason, that she stays safe.

Rinni asked her soon after about if everything was alright, but she was unsure how to answer with the words she knew. There was a simple answer she could give, but she felt like the girl will want an explanation. Aura shook her head, "No, but should be okay." She spoke and then again, "For now." She smiled hopefully and then wondered about her. "Favorite place?" She questioned sweetly. Her tails swayed wildly as she was excited. Maybe this girl will take her on a new adventure like her mother figure did a few days ago. The bar was fun.

Rinni was still enthralled with the sight of the female's nine, white, tails. She couldn't take her eyes off them and she wanted to ask about it, but she was afraid to. She didn't wish to offend the girl or anything, after all. But just in case she noticed Rinni staring, the werewolf moved her brown eyes back to meet Aura's own eyes. Her eyes were pretty, much like the rest of her. The Encan was intrigued by this Joyan stranger.
"So um... I never... seen anyone like you..." Rinni voiced slowly, blushing as she tried to word this as gently and kindly as possible. "What... what are you?" She realized that probably sounded rude. I mean... are you some kind of kitsune or something....?"
The more she spoke the bigger a grave she felt she had dug for herself. She really hoped Aura understood her well enough and wasn't offended by her fumblings. It was so difficult to communicate properly when you were shy and awkward. But even as she sniffed the air, she failed to identify what Aura was. She smelled human, mostly. But also fox. How odd.

Slowly, she itched the mid-section of her throat and gazed away. She wanted to tell her the story of how she became, but she could not really speak good Fiorian."Someday, I tell you." she smiled and looked at Rinni. "One could say Kitsune, but different." She spoke in her Joyan accent. Her eyes gazed really close as she wondered if she was different? "What. Are you?" She repeated back the same thing she asked. It was only right and maybe this was a way to learn to speak Fiorian. Some teach that way, repeating after another and that way maybe they would learn the other countries words.

However, The Encan was taken by surprise when the Joyan reversed the question back to her. She was hoping no one would ask what she was. It wasn't a question she had to answer so far. Only a few people knew, and she didn't want to lie to this random girl. She hugged Winter tightly in her arms and sighed as she worked on constructing an answer.
"I... I used to be just a girl..." She started slowly, hoping Aura understood her. "Now I'm... I'm a werewolf." She confessed, hoping her answer didn't scare the fox-girl away. "I'm... I'm not going to hurt... you though..."
The heat started to get to Rinni at this point, and she looked around. Spotting a two-seater swing under a tree, Rinni headed that way to sit in the shade. Poor Winter was panting, not used to the heat and it was messing with her normally freezing body temperature. Hopefully, Aura would join her.

She saw that Rinni went over to the shade swing on a tree. There was enough room for two. Swiftly, she joined the girl and saw by her. It was a little hard on her rump, but this was good enough - better than the floor at least. Her eyes watched the clear skies as the clouds were barely in the sky. Her eyes cornered to look at the girl. "I do not think you will harm." She gave a smile to reassure her that she believed her. Aura knew that even if the girl was somehow going to harm her, she has met worse.

One idea came to mind. Rinni opened her mouth, revealing her barely noticeable fangs. She then leaned in so the fox-girl could look at or even examine them if she wanted. If she chose to touch them, she'd find they were quite sharp. Abnormally sharp compared to normal human teeth. Once she was done examining her teeth, Rinni would close her mouth and use her legs to move the swing they were on, hoping Aura joins in so it don't sway sideways.
I do not think you will harm.
Those words made Rinni smile. She was glad Aura didn't think so, even if she wasn't so sure herself. At least if she did ever lose it, she had friends willing to help her. Jan Ren. Lucian Crimson. Her boyfriend, Ko Lesalt. Maybe she should tell her brother the truth of her situation. Would he understand? Would he help her or hinder her?
She sighed, knowing that no matter what she chose, it wouldn't end well.

She made a smile and looked at the girl's eyes as she thought of what to say to Rinni. "You know, if they are afraid of you - make them not afraid." She gestured. "Be you, show your kindness and they will see you for you, not for what you are." She nodded to her words as she was self-agreeing. "What is going on in your life?" She questioned slowly as she thought on her words carefully. She wanted to make sure she was saying the right words while speaking them in sync. She leaned back so her eyes could gaze at the sky.
Sun Jun 21, 2020 8:45 pm
Those words brought both comfort and fear to the young girl as she sat next to her older companion, Winter in her lap snoozing as she stroked the fox's soft white coat. What is she couldn't be herself after transforming? What if she changed so much she hurt someone close to her? The what-ifs just kept plaguing her mind and heart, despite how she tried to stop them. She felt so helpless and alone. But she knew that wasn't entirely true.
She wasn't alone as long as she had those who cared about her and were willing to fight for her and help her deal with this. Once she changed and practiced control, she'd be calmer. But for now...
What is going on in your life?
That was the question of the day. Of course, if she meant 'how are you doing' the answer to that wasn't much better. Rinni bit her lower lip, chewing and lightly sucking on the soft flesh as she tried to think of an answer. Still not used to her own fangs, she ended up cutting her lip and could taste the metallic blood on her tongue. She cringed slightly and gave the fox-girl a side glance.
"A lot..." She offered slowly, hoping the Joyan can understand her well enough. "I'm a werewolf... I'm a member of Penumbral Guard... I have a boyfriend..." Her cheeks flushed hotly. "I have a werewolf friend in my Guild who said he'd be there for me during this... and I wonder if I should tell my brother about my condition..."
She went silent, staring off into the distance now. For a moment she felt alone, almost forgetting Aura was sitting there. She looked at the older woman and forced a smile. Things were becoming awkward and there seemed to be a lack of communication as the fox girl seemed to struggle with the common language.
It was nice to get out the truth of her condition, and the more she talked the less she dreaded it. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad after all. Standing up, the werewolf stretched and waved farewell to the strange girl and went along her way.
