With some luck, Masami found himself a small apartment in Dahlia City. The rent was cheap and didn't cause him much, probably because most of the residents in the city are dead, or undead, or will be dead. The room he rented was quite neat, but also quite dusty due to the lack of usage – Masami was able to quickly clean this up without complaining, thinking that it's reasonable for such a place to appear this unclean because of the lack of residents. His clothes were thrown into the laundry, slightly worried that it might not be as clean as he expected it to be when he reminded himself of how bad the mud was from earlier. Plus, all of his spare clothing are completely white, and may get dirt easily on itself. He sighed before taking a bath, almost forgetting to doubt whether the water was clean or not. To his surprise, it was, fortunately. The water was disgustingly lukewarm, however, in which Masami could not define whether it was cold or hot or... lukewarm. He was still worried of waiting for a long time for his clothes to dry, because even the cleaning would take time. Oh, if only he was in Joya... oh? This is Fiore. Magic is everywhere. Immediately after realizing this, Masami visited the washing machine that was right before the exit of his apartment room, looking for something... ahah! A socket, where you have to put a coin inside... something-something where it says "instant" so that's why Masami looked for a coin from his pockets just to insert into the coin socket. To Masami's surprise, the washing machine excreted a magical, sparkling, blue and pink smoke that immediately vanished. The machine stopped moving afterwards, and when Masami opened it... his clothes were completely clean! And dry! Kudos to this apartment business! 307/1275 「-15% WC reduction via Guild Perk.」 北正美 |

"Ah, this is neat..." Masami gently smiled upon witnessing this magic, proud of his entry. Maybe Dahlia wasn't so bad at all? This apartment room pretty much preserved the condition of this very well-made, innovative, exclusive washing machine. That was enough to make Masami happy, as easily-amused he is. As mentioned earlier, the machine was right before the exit to his apartment room, which was why Masami got extremely surprised when someone knocked on it, calling Masami's name... even if he doesn't remember telling his name to anyone, nor did he even reveal his location. "W-What–? Who i-is it?!" Masami shouted back, quickly wearing the overcoat without the need of anything else on the inside. With a muffled, familiar voice, the person outside replied: "It's me! Are you done yet? We're going to do the ritual!" Like a child this vampire was, stalking another child. Masami sighed before opening the door, his overcoat covering everything that needed to be covered. What the door revealed was an older, young man with white hair, smiling at Masami, obviously excited for what was going to happen next; compared to the actual child with wet, blond hair and droopy eyes, because he just got out of the shower. "Would you mind waiting?" he asked, leaving the door open as he picks up the clothing from the washing machine for him to wear in another room. Immediately afterwards, Masami found himself following the vampire off to somewhere. How did it immediately end this way? Masami remembered a vampire's capability to hypnotize someone and... is this one of their tricks? At least he was fully-clothed; on the way to an open clearing, a cauldron in the middle, like some Halloween trick. "Welcome!" said the vampire with excitement after placing himself right behind the cauldron, stretching his arms in the air. Masami cringed. 613/1275 「-15% WC reduction via Guild Perk.」 北正美 |

Masami watched the water boil inside of the cauldron – this vampire definitely prepared for a very fun, Halloween special show. As he stirs the liquid with a large wooden spoon, suddenly having a witch hat over his head, Alistair dropped inside the materials Masami gathered for him. Then, the liquid started to look exactly like the mud over Masami's feet when he slayed that monster from the forest, and this vampire is going to drink it over a goblet made out of bones – at least it appeared like so to Masami. Knowing how it would end, Masami tried to approach the vampire. "Hey, I don't think you should—" It was too late, and the vampire drank it. A bright light exploded from him, blinding Masami as much as giving him the need to cover his eyes with his arm. A few seconds later, this light completely disappeared, giving Masami the chance to glance back at the... now-human, Alistair? "Oh, nevermind then...?" asked Masami to himself, approaching Alistair to get a good look on him. He no longer had that pale, white skin, nor the sanguine red eyes. "Wow, it really did work!" the blond said to his surprise, tilting his head as to give himself a good look on Alistair. However, the previously-vampiric creature had reminded Masami of how they first met... Alistair charged in, trapping Masami down. Once again, the boy held unto the monster's wrists, trying not to get himself harmed. "H-Hey! Stop... argh!" the boy groaned, pushing the vampire off of him. Now, Alistair was way... stronger than he was before, and Masami had to force himself to mutter, "Sup... erbia..." in order for his demon soul to take over. Just in time before Masami gets himself eaten, his new form pushed the vampire off. Masami jumped until he was on his feet, glaring at the monster who was glaring back, five-meters away from him. 931/1275 「-15% WC reduction via Guild Perk.」 北正美 |

Monsters. This vampire turned no more than a ruthless—no, mindless monster, with no control over his own. Masami easily understood this, leaping into the air right after moving his mask in front of him. Targeting the vampire in his sight, Masami glared at the vampire right before breathing through the mask with the intent of casting a fire spell. It worked exactly as Masami wanted it to be, and now this vampire should have been easier to defeat compared to earlier. However, the vampire continued to charge in, snarling at Masami, even after that fire spell. In all honesty, Masami felt bad... knowing that this vampire indeed, used to be, and have become human once more, before turning into this monster – that is. While the vampire was still charging in, Masami leaped backwards as his hand was raised in the air. He slammed this down, causing fire to explode from the inside, burning everything with a fire wall up until the maximum of twenty-meters. Of course, this included the vampire, whom was now staggering and trying to stand back up. Masami approached him, and the vampire held unto Masami's clothes, still trying to attack... or kill, or eat? Whatever his desires meant, he was no longer the Alistair who was childish and excited from a while ago. This vampire no longer had the strength to punch or push the now taken-over Masami, thus the boy raised his pinky finger, preparing for the last strike. What Alistair said broke the boy's heart, as he was begging for his life the second time. "I'm... sorry..." he snarled out, and Masami understood this exactly as it was supposed to be. Without saying anything in return, Masami blew through his finger after it formed the magic circle, burning the vampire into ash. Now, he was nowhere to be found, and what remained were pumpkin pops, in which Masami did not hesitate at all to take. Now that this acquaintance completely disappeared, Masami felt lonely one more. "I need to find the cure." he muttered to himself before leaving all these behind, as if nothing had happened. 1284/1275 「-15% WC reduction via Guild Perk.」 北正美 |
