Well, it seemed that the matters in Era had taken less time than what the blue haired mercenary had expected. All of the talk and rumors going around about dragons had him pumped up. That’s why he thought that the wyvern at the top of the Era dungeon would prove to be some challenge. Unfortunately, it ended being just a small fry. However, it had served as an appetizer at least. Kenzo had heard a whole deal about dragons, given the recent attack at Port Astera. Even if he didn’t meet a strong one, something inside him told him he’d do it sooner rather than later. A dragon hunter huh? That actually sounded kinda cool didn’t it? Kenzo had been looking for ways to lower his bounty after all. He had a couple of options really: Bribing some higher up in Era, hitting up his friend Kazimir to see if he could put a good word for him, capturing a wizard lord. But out of all of them, hunting down a dragon had a certain appeal that was above all of them.
Either way, that was going to take a second plane in the merc’s mind for now. After all, he’d kind of ditched his travelling companion at the Sieghart Mountains just to come chasing for a wyvern. He’d left Rania a letter through the crack of her door, but he wasn’t sure how she had taken it. I mean, there was nothing she’d have to be angry about, right? It had only been a couple of days after all. As all this nonsense crossed through Kenzo’s mind he didn’t notice Shadow Runner rapidly approaching the mountain range. Before he knew it, he was back at the village.
