Based on how he only turned to open up the door to the building she had been walking past, Vivi got the sense that the family had been waiting for her. She stepped inside and waited for the man to close the door before he could lead her to the back. Once inside he stopped her to explain what the job was. Interrogation of a rival family member. Now that did seem like something Vivi could do. She had never interrogated anyone before, but she understood the basic idea. Rough someone up until they give you the information you need. In particular, it was the roughing up part that spoke to her. If there was one thing Vivi was good at it was using her strength to her advantage. She took the offered balaclava and slipped it over her face. She didn't need to make more enemies. She waved the Martello off before she stepped into the back room and slammed the door behind her.
The man tied to the chair wasn't known to her, but that didn't matter. She wasn't here to make friends, she had a job to do.
"Tell me about the cash shipment," She said simply. The man in the chair turned up his nose at her before he spat at her feet. Taking exception to the moment of disrespect, Vivi pulled her fist back and swung hard right into his gut. She worked him over for a few minutes, putting punch after punch into his gut, chest, and shoulders. She bruised him up without much trouble, really just showing him a new definition of "the business". In truth, all she really knew was to not kill him, and beyond that she was just taking wild guesses about what might hurt enough to get him to talk. By the time she stops, the man looks more like a painting of blue and purple. But, that seemed to do the trick. Soon he was spilling his guts to her, telling every little detail he knew about the shipment. Of course, it still wasn't much, all he knew was the rough date and the route. Not much to go off of really, but that wasn't her problem. She patted the man on the cheek before she stepped out of the room. Pulling off her mask, she tossed it to the Martello and told him what she had learned. She didn't expect much in terms of reward, but the meager sum of jewels would certainly help. With her payment in hand she quickly slipped out of the building and tried to put as much distance between herself and the building.
