Mary clutched the stack of fliers nervously against her chest. Oh dear, why had she taken this job? It seemed simple at a glance, but only now she realized the client was expecting her to... t-to hand these to total strangers! The mere thought made her tremble. So she devised a desperate plan... Like a shadow she crept up to people who were chatting or browsing the market and caaarefully slipped fliers into their bags or clothing. Being utterly soundless made the task much easier. Very few even noticed anything before she was gone.
Luckily, the delivery girl had also been given some simple locations where to leave them. That she could do. Sneaking around like a thief in the night, the nervous woman visited the South Gate Park. When she was sure nobody was watching, she quickly pinned one flier on the bulletin board. The next one was a familiar location. She snuck into Fairy Tail’s guild hall like someone who didn’t belong there and hastily scattered several fliers all over the place. Her final stop was Olly’s Bakery, which took some searching. The very last flier was left on the door for customers to see.
Before long, the city was buzzing with rumors of mysteriously appearing fliers. Some claimed to have seen a strange, ghostly figure near the places where they had appeared. All sorts of theories were flung around. A restless spirit... Or just a weird publicity stunt. Naturally the most curious souls were drawn to the only clue available to them... The Magnolia Bathhouse. Thorough investigation would be necessary. Thus dozens upon dozens of occult enthusiasts flocked to bathe in hopes of catching a glimpse of this elusive spirit. In their excited fervor, they completely missed the eerie shadow that slipped inside through the backdoor.
While Bella wasn’t quite sure what to think of her new clientele, she had to admit the advertising campaign had been a success. Business was positively bubbling. As an extra reward, and perhaps fuel for the rumors, she directed the ghoulish delivery girl to a very special bath. Mary was hesitant to accept, but didn’t want to reject the kindness. After such a long and sweaty day, a hot bath sounded kind of nice. She washed away the sweat and grime thoroughly before dipping into the steamy water. Lovely warmth danced on her skin. Rejuvenating energy seeped deep into her core. Ah... She could do this more often...
