It really did seem like a deal that was too good to be true as Barras was telling her. Jolyne Atreides had come to the merchant in response to a notice he had posted upon the quest board, and was now in the process of hearing about the details. It was most suspicious, she must agree, on not only the price but the place and time of the meeting. The Lich was glad that she had come out to help the man, instead of him venturing out on his own to potentially get mugged in some random back alleyway. Between the two of them and her new spell which was a bit easier than force feeding someone a bean to harm them, she was certain the duo could fend off some schemer's snare. Still the outskirts of the town was not a good environment for a meeting, furthermore dusk was not a well figured time either and both really stunk of bunkus. The woman scoffed and shook her head as they walked out towards the meeting place although she looked extremely out of place next to the shopkeeper and in the crowds of mundanely dressed humans. Although many turned their heads at the ornately garbed shambling skeleton, most assumed it was some form of takeover magic or another and quickly looked away as the Lich rarely had her fear affect activated. That seemed to be tied to her irritation and anger more than just neutrality which helped rather much with healing, and supporting other people. Though no doubt it would probably trigger later as Jolyne had little faith about this meeting going well in any regard. The nature Mage was rather eager to get this over with so the nice shopkeeper could learn to stop gambling on such obvious ruses. As such when they drew closer to the agreed upon destination, the woman steeled herself in preparation of a fight and began to take in her surroundings more seriously. This included keeping her senses more in tune so that she would know if there were going to be any hidden surprises before they occurred.
