Genevieve didn't think she would find herself back in this church. This was the place where she was reborn, a place where she met her first and possibly only love, a place where she traded her soul away to a demon only to feel the pains of regret in letting it in. In truth Genevieve was afraid. Even though Asmodeus saved her Genevieve never truly realized at what cost. It was strange to think about these things now when she was fully willing to give herself to Asmodeus at the start. Genevieve knew she owed her life to the demon but instead of being grateful she was fighting its urges to do what it did best. She only wanted one person to fulfill that desire but she was afraid to ask him and she just couldn't wrap her head around how it would even happen. Odin was not a human man, he didn't even have the parts to do the deed! Or did he? She did not know. The more she thought about it the more a heat stirred in her which in turn awoke Asmodeus.

" I can takeover for you. I can make Odin everything you ever wanted. " Asmodeus's voice echoed in her mind and Genevieve shook it off. She didn't want the demon to be involved in that, or rather not when it came to Odin. She wanted him to want her for her and not because Asmodeus was pumping out insane levels of lust powers to make him submit. Leaning back in her seat she noticed just how quiet it was in this church. Hardly anyone came here anymore ever since she literally summoned a demon and wasn't immediately smit to death. She had single handedly caused a community to lose faith and though it amused her it also said alot about how weak these people's faith were.

Odin †

As a concept, Odin hated the Oakland church. It represented a faith that had striven to eliminate him countless times in the past and still did, as well as being one of the major places in Oak City that, while under his thumb, still proved to show some form of resistance. As a building, however, Odin had to admit it was quite pretty. He had already made plans on how best to renovate it once he completed the first stage of his plans for HER, but for now it was allowed to exist as a place of worship for Illumin. That being said, it had definitely declined in attendance recently. Odin's growing presence in the city had been partly to blame, but the final push had come from Genevieve and Asmodeus, who the Lich now walked to meet. Using a church who's purpose was to destroy demons as the location for a demonic summoning was incredibly ironic, and Odin had very much enjoyed it.

He also enjoyed Genevieve's presence a lot more. She brought out a strange humanity in him that even he had forgotten could exist. Odin opened the great doors to the church and entered, making barely any noise as he gracefully strolled down the pews, his elegance making his steps seemingly non existent as he glided through the building. While he was here to see Genevieve, who he spotted during his procession, he enjoyed walking towards the altar at the end of the long hall. Standing next to it, praying under his breath, was a priest of Illumin, one who Odin recognised which, in itself was a strange concept. The elderly man had accepted that he could do nothing to stop the Lich entering the building, and simply prayed to his God that he would not be killed by the evil being. Looking out from the altar across the parishioners the Lich's dead eyes showed a slight glimmer of amusement as his voice echoed throughout the chamber.

"And once again, Illumin decides not to grace us with HIS, or is it HER?, presence. You know, for a god that claims to protect its flock, it doesn't seem actually eager to, well, do that at all. Shame, I should like to meet your god some day."

She was lost in her own thoughts, her eyes looking down as her hands played with the dark lace that trimmed the dress she wore. Anyone looking at her would see that even without the influence of Asmodeus that she was in fact beautiful. Anything she wore wouldn't diminish that but she still liked clothing that fit her frame. Sitting in this church she was dressed in a black mini dress made of lace and silk. Its design was eye-catching as the lace hid what it should but still left hungry eyes wanting more. On her feet, she wore a pair of simple black pumps with gold accessories to bring out the outfit a little more to the wandering gaze.

She didn't hear when Odin entered and she only knew he was in the building when he began to speak which caused her head to pop up and look in his direction. Without missing a beat she glided out from the pew she was sitting in and bowed low in front of him. She felt so very embarrassed to not have noticed him enter that she wouldn't lift her head until she was told that she could do so. I'm sorry Lord Odin. I did not hear you enter. I'm glad you've allowed me to be in your presence today. I have somethings to talk to you about if you don't mind giving me some time to speak. Her voice was steady but it was clear she was being submissive. The demon prince stirred inside of her, it knew exactly what the girl wanted and so began to stroke the heat within her. If anything was going to come out of this day, Asmodeus was going to make sure it was Beezle eating his words about her sway over her own vessel.

The bowing was nice. It was always good to feel appreciated especially as an almost daily occurrence, which is what it had become with Genevieve. However, as Odin raised his hand to beckon her to stand, he realised that he really wasn't used to it, given that Genevieve had her head low and thus couldn't see the gesture she had just been given. It was a good thing people rarely looked the Lich in the eye these days, because that could've been embarrassing. "Rise Genevieve and please, the apology is never necessary, not between us." Apologies were odd to Odin now. He only really desired to receive them from people who truly wronged him, but all the people who could apologise to him were either dead, too prideful to ever actually do it, or soon to be dead. Someone like Genevieve, who Odin cared deeply for, had no reason to apologise to him, and likely never would.

As she rose, Odin would continue, "Of course, you are always free to discuss anything with me." The Lich would look up and, as his eyes passed over everyone else currently in the church, one by one they would leave the premises. Even the priest, cowering in the corner in prayer, left without a word, content that today was not the day he was to die.

"Now that we have some privacy, what would you like to talk about?"

Odin †

As the church emptied, Odin wondered a lot about the being called Illumin. He figured that this deity, given what had occurred a few years ago, probably did truly exist but it seemed unlikely that someone of the level of power that it was depicted to possess would care too much about the comings and goings of a Lich in Fiore, a miniscule country in the scheme of things. Exerting fear over the masses and making people think they could never beat him was just how Odin lived, and it probably just wasn't worth Illumin's time, at least currently. Once SHE was released, and torment once again fell across Earthland, maybe then the Gods would take notice, and maybe then they would realise their folly at ignoring the demon who became a Lich.

Despite Odin ordering the building to empty, so that both he and Genevieve could converse in privacy, one of his followers decided to enter, his knocking and subsequent footsteps echoing throughout the deserted chamber as he approached his guild master and cult leader. He bowed his head, holding a note up for the Lich. Taking it, expecting it to be of significant importance given the interruption, Odin opened it and began to read. Apparently, while he had been stagnating, great happenings were occurring in the rest of Fiore. A group had formed in the North, under the name Paradise Dawn. Odin didn't quite know why yet, but he was curious about this group, this new guild. Maybe it was time to seek them out.
