Ezekiel stood in front of the church, watching the moon wait patiently for the sun to come up- much like how he waited patiently for Odin to show up. The Vampire sighed, looking at the ground. There was nothing left for him to do in this world and it was time for him to move on to the next. The only problem was that he couldn't leave- not until he destroyed Odin. Perhaps he wasn't ready to face the creature of darkness. It may have been suicide to call for this yet, if he was to be sent to the afterlife by his first enemy, a Wizard Lord, then there was some honor in that. Ezekiel had become his parents worse nightmare. He had strayed so far away from the nature spirits and his heritage. What was he doing? He had become an entirely different person- manipulated by the latent madness in his own mind, corrupted by the darkness of this world. Darkness was the only thing this world had to offer. He had to get out. Ezekiel's eyes were glued to the path in front of him. He had given away all his assets to random non-human people around the city. Now, it was time.

Perhaps unexpectedly, it was fairly common for Odin to receive a summons of challenge from someone. Usually people were too scared to actually face him or (much more commonly) it was somebody random that was trying to gain recognition and Odin just wouldn't waste his own time by showing up. But right now he was weaker than he had been for a while. Morrigan's Staff had unlocked new powers in the Lich, but it had also sealed away his magic to do so. For the moment, Odin could not handle being attacked more than once by someone, meaning perhaps arriving at this challenge was a mistake.

However, there was no way Odin couldn't show up, as he made his way through Baska towards the Baskan church, not caring who saw him or if his challenger was aware of his arrival. After all, this was Ezekiel, the wood elf mage Odin had emotionally broken, kidnapped, and then physically broken on many occasions while the boy had been imprisoned in Oak. This was someone with a part to play in Odin's story, and he was one of the few people who the Lich did not mind entertaining, even in his weakened state. His had his staff, his shield, and his eye, which gave him a lot to work with even without the added bonus of his own, unique magic.

As he climbed the steps, Odin would see Ezekiel waiting directly in front of the church. He looked ready to fight and, Odin presumed, ready to die. His face was different, as was his aura, but there was no mistaking who it was.

"Long time no see."

And there it was. It. It as in Odin, the harbinger of death and the epitome of evil. Odin played a crucial role in who Ezekiel was today. It was safe to say that the Lich created him in a sense. Although it was some time ago, Ezekiel could never forget how the monster took his one and only friend away from him. Yet still, he was oddly comfortable in the presence of his abuser. The Lich approached confidently with his staff and shield. He still had that smug aura around him. He probably even thought that Ezekiel was still the same little boy he had broken. Times change and evidently people do too. Once Odin stopped and spoke, Ezekiel rolled his eyes. "You're not here to talk." He said bluntly as he lifted his hand. He felt weakened by Odin's presence, but that wasn't going to stop the Vampire from ending this quickly. With four fingers, he would cause four spells to form around odin. Three of which would be arms erupting from the ground, and one which would be a beam coming directly from above Odin. At the same moment with his other hand he would touch his chest and erase himself from the Lich's vision.

Odin's eye went wild mere moments after he saw Ezekiel, but he had no intention of letting the vampire's spell hit him. It was the reason he spoke first. He gave his foe a chance to reply, and in that moment Odin would be able to act. Ezekiel's words would've almost been ironic in a sense, because he was correct. Odin was not here to talk, today was a day for business. As soon as the boy opened his mouth to speak, Odin pushed off of the ground behind him with his right foot, channelling magic he had received from a former Rune Knight whom he had always been on surprisingly good terms with. The dash was almost instant, crossing the relatively short distance between the two almost immediately, and getting out of the way of whatever Ezekiel had planned to attack him with.

However, as Odin arrived and looked up, he noticed that his enemy was nowhere to be seen. Whether he had simply gone invisible or done something even stranger, the Lich had no idea. However, the one thing he did know was that he would find him. Reaching out with the same magic as before, he would begin to feel all the movements in the air around him. Even if he couldn't see his foe, he would know of his location. That alone would give him enough information to react, assuming he was fast enough.

Odin had successfully dodged Ezekiel's attacks. He moved just before the spells went off and didn't waste any time. Like a bloodthirsty hooligan, Odin dashed forward and once Ezekiel noticed the magic circle and when Odin kicked off, he himself also kicked off, leaping backwards. The two were only about 10 meters apart so Ezekiel had to act quick as well. He aimed his left finger and his right palm towards his opponent, causing darkness to erupt directly under Odin with him in the middle, and a rune to travel towards the lich. The Rune was aiming to inflict headache-like damage while the blast was aiming to inflict pure physical damage. Ezekiel remained calm and kept his eye on Odin. Being a vampire meant that he was silent when he moved so virtually he seemed to have the advantage here. There was a problem though. The Vampire had no idea how one killed a Lich. Going for the skull seemed to be the most logical thing to do in this equation, but that would probably mean he'd have to get close to the creature of darkness. Ezekiel on the other hand was only virtually immortal. He was well capable of being killed just like any other normal person. The two were different when it cames to ranking, but Zeke was not a pushover. The Desiertan landed 5 meters away.

One of the glaring problems with having one item capable of nullifying any and all magical damage inflicted was that it in itself revealed a weakness: Odin couldn't defend on two fronts. He turned to face Ezekiel once his spell picked up on the vampire's location, and held his shield in front of him, blocking and nullifying the attack from the front. However, the attack from below went through, damaging Odin's cloak but thankfully sparing the Lich from any otherwise devastating damage. It was something he would need to think about in the future, as exploiting that very weakness could allow other mages to take him out in one attack. Unfortunately for Ezekiel though, this fight was over. Odin knew exactly where he was.

Once more magical energy formed in Odin's feet, as he pushed off towards the direction of Ezekiel, being able to clear the 10 metres in less than half a second, and ideally catching the vampire completely be surprise. He would not stop at simply moving this time. There were no more tricks, no more hiding, just Odin and Ezekiel, facing one another, with one about to fall.

Directly at the point of climax for the dash, Odin would lunge Morrigan's staff forward, embedding the non-embellished end of the staff into the man's heart, watching it erupt blood as the Lich's strength overpowered Ezekiel. It was unlikely the vampire would get back up, and it ended the challenge there and then. Pulling the staff from Ezekiel's corpse, Odin would wipe it on the grass, sighing as he began to walk away, leaving the vampire to burn either when the sun rose, or when the priests found him.

"Shame, you could've been so much more."

Claiming kill from Fear reducing Ezekiel's CON to 3xS and Odin's physical damage equalling 3xS.

Ezekiel overestimated his own strength it seemed- and perhaps even underestimated Odin. Despite knowing how vile of a creature he was, he didn't expect him to end it with one swift blow. As Ezekiel Landed the Lich had closed the gap in front of him, stabbing him directly in his heart. Yes, his attack had managed to hit Odin but it wasn't enough. The Vampire's eyes widened as the weapon went through his heart. He wanted to ascend, but not by the very person he hated most in this world. The Vampire grunted. His body was incapable of moving. As Odin snatched the weapon from inside of him, the Desiertan coughed blood. "Grrgh..." he grunted as he fell on his back. The last words he heard from his abuser was that he could have been so much more. Ezekiel looked up at the the sky. The stars danced, and seemingly called him home. Hopefully the place his soul was going next wasn't engulfed in fire. He wasn't a bad person...the darkness had a grip on him. The vampire quickly came to peace with his death, believing that he would live through someone else and come back for Odin one day. This was not over...

Dead.
