Today would be an unusual day for Shichiro and his team of Knights. It seems they were being hired by a man named 'Dex' to accompany him on an investigation of some kind. Shichiro wasn't filled in on what the investigation was about and was just told to bring himself and his teammates to a local coffee shop in the city. Shichiro figured it would be easy money as he wouldn't have to do much but walk around and talk. Having given the meeting location to both Seika and Keita, he figured it would be easier to just head towards the destination and just wait for them before meeting up with the client. He was unsure if they'd need backup or not so Shichiro figured it wouldn't hurt to bring Panther lily along for the ride.

Meeting in front of the coffee shop, Shichiro went through with his plan of just waiting for the other two until they had arrived on top of the scene. Once they had arrived and they exchanged their own greetings amongst each other, Shichiro had led them inside of the coffee shop to meet the investigator. The investigator had greeted the three of them, sat them down and began to tell the stories of horrors that had been happening around the city and it was up to him to investigate. However, the more he talked, the more their were inconsistencies in his story as the Knights would come to notice. Kizmaru himself slightly raised an eyebrow at some of things said but he didn't question it.

Keita woke up early today and started heading towards a coffee shop in the city, as he had been placed under Shichiro's care once again, and they had been signed up for a request to help a person solve a murder. the man's name was Dex Miller, and he was a local detective of sorts, or so it seemed. They were going to start discussing things with him in the coffee shop, and so Keita did not want to be late. As he sped up along the street towards the coffee shop, he noticed that his cousin Shichiro was already in the shyop, sitting with the man that had requested the quest, talking with him about something. Keita was coming from a side of the street that allowed him to see Shiciro's face,. but not the man that was sitting opposite him at the table, and so he saw Shichiro making a strange face, as if the man opposite him was spewing some sort of absolute nonsense. 

It seemed that his cousin was not particularly enjoying his time talking with the person opposite him, and so Keita walked up and waited for a pause in the man's sentence before introducing himself. Keita had heard a little bit about what the man was talking about, and it did not give him a whole lot of confidence when it came to the request, but he was going to play along to the best of his ability. "Greetings, I am Keita, here for the mission mister Miller."

Seika could feel an incessant heat rising in his body for the past few days but he just couldn't pinpoint it as his body rose from the grasps of sleep. Every day he stayed in this Sol forsaken city he grew one day closer to burning it straight to the fucking ground. Why was everything so god damn shitty here. His frown persisted as he rose from his cot and slipped on his orange overalls. Hopefully the job today wasn't too stupid. He knew Shichiro couldn't cover for too many more of his outbursts, and after the incident in Oak he could tell the man was just a bit more wary with him and clients. Of course he had garnered back some favor by essentially returning to being a silent giant, but Seika knew that it wouldn't take much more to trigger him, especially in this shithole.

Slamming the door behind himself, he'd walk off in the direction of the coffee shop that he had been given the directions too the previous evening. His frown grew as he realized that he would have to walk through the alleyways to get there, much preferring the much more open and pleasant avenues than the dark dingy alleys. Sighing to himself, he'd hold out his hand and produce a single pilot flame to light his way through the soft darkness. It would take him another twenty minutes until he was able to extract himself from the suffocating feeling and finding himself exactly in front of the coffee shop just as Keita was speaking. Missing important context about what was going on, he'd just pull up alongside his teammate and await further information.

After the man known as Dex had spun his tall tales, he got up from his seat and began to instruct the three knights to leave with him to go on an investigation. Shichiro thought this guy had a few screws loose in his head but he wouldn't question it as he was getting paid for this kind of gig. Placing his hands into his pockets, he gave a slight shrug to the rest of his team and just followed the man on his way out. He had to admit, today was a, peculiar day. So far, all Shichiro has done was shadow this man, agree with his bizarre theories and conspircaies and didn't seem to get anything productive done. He was starting to think this man wasn't a detective. 

All in all, he was glad he wasn't causing these people trouble and would have to have him thrown in a holding cell or something but something was definitely off about him. In the end, he decided to push his own thoughts aside whilst following the deranged man around. Sometimes the man would 'interrogate' others to the point it was harassment and Shichiro would cover for him saying it was official Rune Knight business and apologize for the interruption. Not only would it defuse the situation but he would also give the delusional man some kind of excuse as to why he shouldn't track down his "suspects" to interrogate later. Eventually, the man finished conducting his investigations eventually, handing all three of the rune knights their payment for a job well done. So it seems like he was content with how things turned out today, at least with Shichiro anyway.

Keita was wondering what they were doing there today, and although he knew it was some sort of murder investigation, there seemed to be something off about the man that hired them. Keita kept glancing at Shichiro as a sort of confirmation that this man had a few screws loose, and soon that was apparent. This was really strange simply following this guy around and letting him go on with his delusional theories and the questioning interrogations he was giving to random passers by on the street, and it seemed to be a good thing that Shichiro was here, as he simply kept diffusing the situation by saying that it was somehow official Rune Knight business. Since there were three Rune Knights following this man, people wondered if it was serious and gave grave expressions as the four of them were wandering around the city. 

It seemed eventually the man was satisfied with his inquiries, and it also seemed that he was cooling down throughout his time messing with random people on the street, as soon he was seemingly tired, and thanked all of them for their hard work, even though they really did not do anything while following him, it was enough that they did not call him out on any of his bat shit insane theories, and just let him continue on. He kept stopping and mumbling to himself until suddenly it seemed like he perked up and got an epiphany. Hopefully he would not harass others in the future, but he was fine with paying the three, and they continued on their way

So it seemed todays mission was an exercise in insanity as the three Rune Knights were treated to the sight and sound of their client making vapid noises in literal broad daylight as other civilians passed them all by. Seika had tried to catch his superiors line of sight to ask him a nonverbal question about the situation but the man actually seemed adamant about at least humoring their client for as long as the man was paying them. This left Seika in a bit of a bind as he truly did not want to deal with this clearly psychotic man and his obtuse delusions of being a 'detective'. However he had promised to keep his mouth shut when the situation wasn't extremely serious as his input often was far too scathing for what was necessary on the job. So instead he also just stood by and observed the peanut show that was their client go about his 'investigation'.

It would be some hours and Seika honestly could not take it anymore. He truly could not understand how the others were handling this situation. Every word that came out of the mans mouth could be described as yet another delusion, and clearly they had passed by this lamp post at least fourteen different times. Huffing as the man pointed at yet another random 'clue' and claimed that it would lead to them finally solving this damn 'case'. It would take another thirty minutes until Shichiro finally pointed out what was on their minds. Seika would waste absolutely no time in leaving the area, not even bothering to humor the mans incessant babbling for a second more.
