Obasi
Rain awakened Obasi with a persistent downpour onto the cozy apartment, he called home. Usually, it was sunlight that stirred him from his sleep, but alas, this time it was rain. Furious and unrelenting darkened clouds above would not allow the boy to sleep. Not that he needed to return slumbers embrace anyway. Obasi as usual, had been hired for another job, and he had to wake up. Neal was so impressed with his last performance that the brigand offered him another job. He didn’t know what the job was for, but Obasi knew it wouldn’t pay great. So why did he undertake it? Because it meant higher profile work and a chance to hit the big time. Sure, he was doing small stuff now, but there was a bigger picture. Besides, he didn’t have Zexion to rely on anymore. They had recently parted ways for the time being and Obasi would have to start from scratch.  Without Zex’s contacts he’d have to wade through the underworld himself, and so he decided to start with Neal. All he needed to do was work for the guy and then gain some connections himself. Who knew? Maybe he’d be able to surpass his old friend.

Before he could start his day, however; Obasi needed to fix breakfast. He started with the usual eggs and bacon, finishing it off with a big stack of pancakes. After scarfing down the plate of food he got dressed. It had become a daily routine by this point; he’d wake up, eat breakfast, get dressed, and then head out. Attired in a bluecoat, black pants and shirt, with matching gloves and shoes, Obasi wasn’t the flashiest dresser. He did like to co comfortable though and everything he wore was meant towards that end. Thankfully, in the time it took him to get dressed the rain had mercifully ended. Looks like he wouldn’t be getting wet Obasi thought. He then headed out the door, but not before he shoved an apple in his pocket. After completing his morning ritual Obasi was off. He headed over to the town square with not too much trouble. He’d lived in Baska for so long that he’d begun to remember where most things were. It also helped that all of the jobs helped him to memorize were everything was. The dark alleyways he was to meet Neal in weren’t so easy to navigate and he’d gotten lost a few times.

When he eventually met Neal the man requested a verbal password, which Obasi gave him. Afterward, they reached a building where the job was to occur. Neal told him to stand outside and act as a lookout of sorts. He was to stand around and scrutinize everyone who came and went. If anyone or anything strange happened Obasi was to tell Neal. When he was done giving the youth his orders Neal went into the building leaving his employee behind. The wait was unsurprisingly uneventful with nothing of interest happening at all. In fact, he started dozing off with spurts of wakefulness until eventually he fought back the encroaching slumber. To keep himself awake he’d even devoured an apple he kept in his pocket. The apple sort of worked leaving him in a half-wake daze allowing him to do his job. Things eventually turned interesting when people started pouring in, though some were the same people. Something he found odd, but that paled in comparison to the people in cloaks watching from afar. This alone was enough to raise suspicions for Obasi, who immediately knocked on the door to warn Neal. When the man exited he congratulated Obasi before telling him to prepare for a heist.
