"Hah! Anyway, do you want to tell me more of your parents or is that a private matter?" Poropo was still very interested in the relationship between Alfric and his parents - the son of two sorcerers, but not a sorcerer himself. The hesitant monk could tell there must be some tension, but nonetheless felt compelled to pry. Not much else to do on a long walk other than starting conversations.
Regardless of Alfric's answer, Poropo stuffed his hand in the sack of apples and pulled out another, beautiful, red sphere. The short odyssey to Magnolia made the rotund monk hungry, like all things, so the apple was pushed between Poropo's lips and straight down his throat. Those who listen carefully can hear the splash of apple to stomach acid as Poropo gained a little more energy for the trip.
