ManaI woke up with a start. I could feel the rush of air on my skin, and I opened my eyes to see what looked like dark clouds of smoke. It took me only a moment to realize that the clouds were getting thinner, giving way to a dark wisp and a bright autumn sun between them. I close my eyes, feeling relief wash over me. “We’re on our way to Crocus”, the stranger replied. Somehow, I was lucky enough to find a carriage that was headed in the same direction. These kind people picked me up and offered me a ride. “Thanks for letting me tag along.” I tried to sit up and a bolt of pain shot through my shoulders, I ignored it and pushed myself up. “No worries! Besides, you know what they say: Good company on a journey makes the way seem shorter.” Unsure about that I simply smiled and nodded only to gaze behind me. Braska slowly became smaller, and smaller as we rode further making distance. I leaned backward and submerged myself in a sea of memories thinking of all the things that have come to pass. “I wonder what comes next” I whispered to myself as we all journeyed towards the capital of Fiore, Crocus.
