"You must be Alex, right?" Alex gave a small nod to confirm. Father Jerald lead him inside where there were beds all in a row. Nurses worked tirelessly trying to tend to the sick and ill. The coughing made him a little bit scared since he wasn't fond of getting sick. Getting sick lead him to see a doctor which did not sit well with him. They went into a small room where Father Jerald would sit down. Alex would sit across from him. Father Jerald wore a mask, which he had not noticed before. It was a good call. "You will be delivering the patience their medicine and making sure they take it. They are very ill and need as much help as they can" he spoke. He hands him a box of masks for him to put on. Alex placed string loops of the mask around his ears. He made sure they were not too tight for his liking. "I see. What kind of illness do they have" he asked. Father Jerald answered with a simple word. The flu. His nerves shot up 100%.
"Got it" he whimpered. Luckily, his wolf tail was hidden as well as his hands with his gloves. He loved this outfit to hide every unnatural feature of himself. Though, through the glove on his left hand, his engagement ring shown. He thought of LeeAnn. They didn't know each other well nowadays, but through customs, they were going to get married. He had agreed to such a huge ordeal as so did she since they were tired of life. Luckily, their parents were incredible friends. They never rushed their relationship..maybe his father did a little bit since he was so excited, but that was about it. He helped give the sick their medicine as she thought about his good deed for the day. Many of them needed help lifting a spoon or needed it to be hand fed to them. "Thank you, young man" thanked an elderly woman. She noticed his wedding band. "Who's the lucky bride," she asked. Alex's face grew a little flush underneath the mask.
"Oh...LeeAnn Nakamura. A very strong and admireable woman" he smiled. The lady gave a sweet smile. "She sure is lucky to have such as a kind man by her side like you" she thank him. After a few hours, he fed all the medication to the patience. Father Jerald had paid him for his troubles. Immediately, Alex felt a bit better than he did previously.
