Which wasn’t something she could realistically do on her own. So she’d have to bear with it and figure out something. That something being another entrance to that area. Which no doubt would be a trap. She’d bite the inside of her cheek as she arrived at what amounted to the other entrance.
The area had become safer and safer as she did this grisly work so maybe it wasn’t so much of a problem. Either that or she was just slapping a band aide on the real issue. Either way she had to go into the darkness that loomed ahead of her. Drawing her sword once the light stopped kissing her back the woman slowly worked her way through the mines. Unaware of the presence that was following her.
The first crossroads that she arrived at was dead like all the others, abandoned… was this where the others had been from? An allocation of resources? She’d stoop to check the lanterns and glance around. They hadn’t been lit for quite some time…
So she moved on, unsure of what was going to meet her here in the dark. But that answer would come as she arrived at an actual lit intersection not ten minutes down the line. A single sign sitting in warning for her. Bloody letters scrawled on it simply stating LEAVE. Grimacing she’d start to move past it when she could distinctly feel eyes on her. Turning her head she’d see it for the first time.
There was no mistaking the presence of an alpha and one that was sure of itself beyond it’s normal ken. This monster was taking the front rather than letting his packmates dwindle before springing. They stood in abject silence, her sword raised ever so slightly...
