Jin Takayama †
I hate the rain…” Jin sneers as he remembers his defeat at Ikazuchi’s hand. The behemoth walked down the streets of Oak with a map wadded up in his right hand. The day prior, Jin was contacted by Remy Martello about a job. Remy, and subsequently the entire Martello family, were impressed by how Jin handled himself during their last job. Despite the nature of the job, they appreciated the respect he gave their fallen. True to his word, Remy had another job for him. He connected him to another member of the family, Martin, who had a plan to get revenge. He promised him that it would a job where Jin would be able to cause a little bit of destruction. Although the thought enticed him, Jin knew that there had to be somewhat of a catch. Upon meeting with and speaking to Martin at the Martello home, his suspicions were confirmed. Martin knew of a cash house owned by Vincenze Tessio. The plan was simple, hit Vincenze where it would hurt the most: the wallet. Jin was to infiltrate the cash house and steal all of the jewels within. After the jewels were collected and safely removed from harms way, Jin was to burn the place down. If all went well, he’d get his pay once he made his way back to the Martello home. Getting closer to his target, Jin pulls out his mask and attaches it on his face. The familiar click shifts the man into a more focused mental state as he prepares for the job ahead.

Jin Takayama †
Within an hour, Jin found the small abandoned building that was being used as a front for the cash house. It was an old diner that had certainly seen better days as the years went by. A combination of rust, dirt, and mold had reduced the building to a shell of its former self. The windows were boarded and a large part of the roof looked to be slightly caved in. It was the perfect place and possibly the last place anyone would think to put or look for any jewels. “Destroying this would just be putting it down out of mercy.” Jin mumbles as he glances around. Thanks to the downpour of rain and the time of day, there were not a lot of people near the diner. Anyone who was near it was either an idiot or a lookout. Jin quickly scanned the area, spotting three people walking around out front. Their leisurely pace, despite the rain, confirmed Jin’s suspicions. “Guards…” he thought as he meticulously followed their route. Although Jin would have wanted nothing more than to bash their skulls in, he thought better. Had Martin wanted him to rampage, he would have given him the OK to do so. The fact that he did not say so meant that, despite what he wanted, Jin would have to be covert. Sneering once more, Jin slipped into the shadows and sneaked around, using the random booms of thunder to mask any sound he made. Seeing no guards in sight, Jin sneaks through an opened window and ventures inside.

The inside of the dilapidated diner was just as bad, if not worse, than the outside. Wet feces, both animal and other, littered the area. The putrid smell was so overpowering that even Jin made a face. Most of the walls were covered in holes, likely made by gunfire or by the wildlife. Trying his best to get in and get out, Jin moves through the diner, his eyes darting around the area to hopefully find the location of the jewels. After several minutes of searching, an increasingly frustrated Jin found nothing. He approached the last room in the diner and hoped, for the sake of his nose, that he would find what he was searching for. He moves inside of the storage room and finds the shelves bare and the containers empty. “Fuck it. I’ll just force one of those idiots outside to tell me where it is.” he mumbles as he turns towards the door. He takes a few steps before he suddenly loses his balance, stumbling a bit to catch himself. He glances back and sees a loose tile on the ground. “Clever…” he says as he reaches down and pulls the jewels from underneath the tile. After gathering up all of the jewels, Jin takes out some flammable material he was given by Martin and scatters it around. Given the rain, a normal fire wouldn’t work but Jin could handle that. After making sure the ground was completely covered, Jin makes his way outside and towards a taller building a few meters away. Scaling the building with the greatest of ease, Jin looks down on the diner one last time before moving his hands back. The familiar orb of magical energy begins forming in his hand before he releases the blast outright. Within seconds, the building is destroyed as people began to scatter. Jin leaps down, removing his mask in the process, as he blends in with the fleeing civilians. As he moves, he spots Remy within the crowd. Wordlessly, Jin hands off the sack of jewels and makes his way back to the Martello family home.
