Wherever I May Roam (Cassia and Reiner Supporters) Empty Wed Aug 18, 2021 7:19 pm

Mzuma

Mzuma grabbed the railing of a building and slid down its wall only to leap onto a roof with better positioning. He aimed his weapon at the zealots rushing through the streets and blasted them down one by one. Based on everything that had happened, he never expected himself to be here. Thaqoal was right though. This was bigger than him. This was about the future of Stella.

Meanwhile, the others were assisting with securing the other gates. Hildegard's court hadn't arrived yet making her incredibly vulnerable to a coup. As life would have it, the Stellans were here first and felt as if they had no choice but to help out to ensure that the coronation would go through. Mzuma recognized a familiar face battling the zealots below in the streets and wondered for a second if he would help out or not.

"Tch, fuck me."

With a quick blast, Mzuma cleared his path. Wilhelm turned around and looked up only to see Mzuma with a cigarette in his mouth and a cannon in his hand.

"No hard feelings, right? We're on the same side for now," Mzuma scoffed.

It was that damn Quetza. She had supported Brunhild's claim to the throne to cause more chaos. She probably shared the information about their arrival to Sachsia and with that Brunhild would know when Hildegard would be most vulnerable. Mzuma was blinded by hatred before and couldn't see that Quetza had manipulated him as well. It was almost as if that bitch could only get turned on by death and demise.

"I'll take whatever I can get right now. Even you. It's not about us today, it's about Hildegard and the future of both our countries," Wilhelm replied.

Hildegard's promise to Thaqoal to return the lands made Mzuma change his mind about acknowledging her as the next heir of the Boscosi lands. She would be a better neighbour than her father. In the end, he was a weapon, the same as Wilhelm. They both had blood on their hands. The only way they could redeem themselves was by protecting the future of the next generation and setting aside their personal ambitions.

"What the fuck are you waiting for, Boscosi bastard? Go and secure the eastern gate!" Mzuma shouted.

Wilhelm quickly pushed forward along with his troops to battle the zealots and secure the eastern gate of the city. He could've never imagined himself battling side by side with Mzuma to protect Bosco's fu-, nay the future of both their countries together.

Jikan

Jikan still found it hard to believe that she found herself in another country, among another group of people, in their own circle of life and politics, lending aid. Lending aid for a matter that really did not involve her even a little bit, well, beyond the fact that her younger brother came to this country for some god forsaken reason. And yet she was unable to find the freaking man!

The competition over who was the next in line did not matter to her, the fact of the people in the towns and territory did not matter to her, the conflict, apparently, with the nation of Stella that was on the border of Bosco that was being conquered and the Stellians reactions did not matter to Jikan...at first.

Throughout her entire life Jikan could not think of a time where the concept of freedom was not one she constantly thought about, besides the years of her early child hood where she was actually allowed to be a kid. It was something that she needed, it was a mental thing, ever since she got away from her parents and what they did to her. Unfortunately, her time outside by herself did her little for caring about people when it did not personally involve her. But, she could not help being drawn to do some good or hoping for the best when it came to children or people who were genuine kind hearted and wanted to do good. So as she stayed in the middle of the storm that was the race for the throne after the King's passing, she grown more attached to the situation. Each heir that had a chance for the throne, besides one, all had their own care and love for their people. They just believed in different ways to go about assuring that bright future. And Cassia was the one that Jikan believed had the ideas and character to do the job, ruling and working with people in position of influence as well as connecting with her subjects. Sadly that was not the outcome regardless of Jikan efforts and the rest of Cassia's supporters. She supposed Hildegard was not a back second option though.

The zealots could not leave things well and alone though. Starting a storm in the city, burning, attacking, and killing everyone they saw without a care, even children.

Standing out of the upper door of the bulding she was staying in, the sight simply revulted her. Thankfully it seemed that the fighters of the war were not all out of commission, for the sounds of a counter attack were well on their way. Brunhild banners were being burned, thrown down, and the screaming faces of the followers of Brunhild were being squished to floors and walls.

Jikan jumped off of her view point, her gauntlet covering her wrist in one hand and her other glowing with her white magic. It was time to join the fray!

Alisa

WORDS: 530 | TAG: @Bosco | ARMOR

"Oh dear... Seems like you can't have a succession crisis without a single sore loser.", spoke the sculptress, shaking her head as she heard the screams echoing in the distance. She wasn't happy with this outcome for the succession. Some people looked to the future, while others obsessed with the colour of one's skin and shape of one's ears... Civilization would never move forward so long as people poured all their life's work into such petty problems.

She'd never see eye to eye with someone so preoccupied with accidents of birth but... Perhaps non humans had just suffered too much to see beyond these differences. She didn't agree with the outcome, but she could at least respect it, which is more than she could say for some people. There could be no peace with a deranged woman like Brunhilde. No war even. She and her followers had degenrated to the most basic of all human instincts: To kill or be killed. And Alisa in turn, would respond in kind. Perhaps the woman could have once been reasoned with... But not anymore. Right now, she'd burn Bosco to the ground if it meant she could rule over the ashes:

"Since you're all so painfully obsessed with your God, I'll do you all a favour...", Alisa had only come here to watch the procession. She didn't honestly expect anybody to be so desperate as to attack the single most well defended place in the whole country with nothing more than a couple fanatics with torches. But fanatics have a way have a way of surprising you don't they? As she heard yet another troupe of fanatics marching through the streets like they owned the place, spewing flames wherever they went, Alisa returned the favour, snapping her finger as a wide magic circle appeared beneath their feet. Almost instantly, the very ground they walked over erupted into a dazzling, devstating explosion of crystal as shrapnel bust forth from the center of the circle, wreaking havok throught soft tissue and ripping through the cultists and their underprotected rags, "...And send you back to him."

Hers was a merciful kill, far more so than the agonizing death they'd been inflicting on the helpless citizens of the capital. But Alisa wasn't here to enjoy herself. She'd come here to put an end to this pathetic, desperate rebellion as quickly and decisively as she could.

"Oh dear... To think I'd ever see you on the battlefield as an ally.", Alisa all but frowned at the sight of Wilheim, the one heir who'd been quite a thorn in their side owing to all the border tensions between Fiore and Bosco. After seeing what the man stood for in the succession crisis, Alisa yet deemed him responsible for the constant instability that had plagued her country in the past few years... At the same time, this wasn't Fiore, and Wilheim's had been unceremonially defeated. It seemed like few, if anybody in Bosco yeared for the return of those warmongering days, which meant they'd all need to adapt to their new reality, "Life sure takes some mysterious turns~..."

Wilhelm Sachsenwald

Regardless of how bizarre it was to have Mzuma providing him support, Wilhelm didn't hesitate and proceeded to slice and dice through the zealots. It wasn't the only unexpected support. A redhead and Fiorian Guildmaster who supported Cassia's claim suddenly entered the fray as well. Alisa quickly proved her worth by completely obliterating a whole horde of zealots with her magic. Wilhelm, who still hadn't fully recovered from his battle with Mzuma, had a hard time to properly distribute his stamina in between the clashes.

"We're all on the same side now. Cassia has gracefully accepted her defeat and Hildegard's victory. She is going to serve in Hildegard's court to support the new reign. It wouldn't be too implausible for Cassia's supporters to do the same for now," Wilhelm replied.

Brunhild wasn't anywhere to be seen. Based on the loud noises, far away, someone else was dealing with her elsewhere. Wilhelm knew that Brunhild wouldn't have had the chance to do this if Hildegard's court had fully arrived already. While he considered himself strong, he was fully aware that there were fiercer warriors out there. Some of which would sit on Hildegard's court. It was clear that someone had leaked the details of the coronation to Brunhild.

Such chaos was absolutely demoralizing for a clean transition. It would send a wrong message about Hildegard's authority to the delegates of other nations who would come to witness the coronation as well. Wilhelm wasn't going to allow Brunhild to sully Bosco's name any longer, however, Brunhild was going to make it easy for them.

"Damn you, Brunhild! Do you have no shame? How far are you willing to go for your madness?"

Jikan

As Jikan jumped off of her elevated view point and her feet landed down to the ground. She descended onto the ground floor, ready to be among defenders of the transfer of power within Bosco. However, as she looked down she saw instead the flying colors of the Brunhild usurpers. In a quick motion, the enraged red black haired enchantress threw her right arm down as she fell closer to the ground, hitting the head of a nearby Brunhild fanatic, a thud occurring as her gauntlet smacked the top of their head and powered the body to the ground face first. "How dare you...you hurt these people, these children, that are your own people because you simply did not get your way. Trash!". Jikan's anger was getting the better of her here, she hated the act of this meaningless fighting and death after the war was decided. The other heirs had accepted their defeat, the resources and the people deciding that Hildegard was the next ruler. They could see that in the end it was best to accept that outcome and work within their abilities to help build a bright future for Bosco. However, Brunild did not think like that. She would not give up. She would continue beyond the point and throw away the lives of the majority of the people living within the country all because of her ideas and determination to get what she wanted for the minority that sided with her. Throwing away the lives and dreams of everyone else, the families that had long been done with this ordeal, the children's homes, families, and lives lost due to it, spat on and shown it would continue. She would not tolerate this!

As she stood up, Jikan did not see any nearby enemies, at least ones that were in reach, there were plenty in earshot that heard her words earlier. Shifting her eyes, she witnessed the after math of Alisa using her magic, this was the first time she had actually met the woman. However, there was plenty of tells of her supporting Cassia, and the reputation of the White Empress alone from Jikan's exposure to the wizard world in Fiore.

She didn't realize before, but also, it seemed that Wilhem was here as well, even a Stella native as well. Jikan wasn't fully sure who he was, but from word of mouth, she believed it was Mzuma, the warrior that actually defeated and wounded Wilhem earlier in this conflict. It was strange to see them fighting alongside each other, but it seemed they wanted to end this bloodshed too.

Jikan extended an arm out before a current of wind surrounded her body and moved out several meters around her. As she dashed forward in a run, she punched and kick through the bodies of her enemies, cutting through them in a figuratively sense like butter.

Khalfani †
Wherever I May Roam (Cassia and Reiner Supporters) 11f90b45725b588d3a1cf66aaf33a141

"Graghh!" Khalfani shouted as they used one of the Zealots swords to stab their heart. The former Stellan slave pushed the weapon deep into the zealots body, causing them to fall. The hunter wore their Cuirass, so they would be well protected against most attacks, but this battle would be a very very hard one. Their hood remained on their head, protected from the eyes of anybody who could have recognized them as the hunter who slaughtered their slave masters. Although their former masters were Boscoi, they were Stellan citizens. That's exactly why they were partaking in this war. Stella was once a free land, tribal in nature before it was colonized. Under Hildegards rule, Stella would be restored. The truth was, despite this land being home to most of their trauma, they cared about it. They grew up here after all. Cassia would have been the better option considering she would have probably abolished slavery so that no other person would have to go through what they did, but Hildegard was the next best thing. The Desiertan took a deep breath, catching themself as they stumbled backwards. This was the most they moved their body at one time in a long time.

"Twenty-sev-" they began before another zealot came up on his left with their sword raised. Quickly the hunter lifted their hand and pulled the trigger on the gun sitting comfortably in their hand, hugged tight by their fingers. A bullet zipped through the air piercing through the zealot's helmet. "Eight." They corrected themself in a whisper. In a matter of minutes Khal had killed twenty-eight zealots. Brunhild had done a good job recruiting persistent warriors. Suddenly, a blast occurred about twenty-five meters away from where they were standing, killing a shitload of zealots. Khal's eyes widened as he quickly glanced in the direction of the crystal blast. "Amazing..." they said to themself. Such a display of power, it was incredible. However, there was no time for them to admire it any longer. Quickly they turned and sprung back into battle, running through the battlefield, sliding underneath the legs of zealots, fighting others with their bare hands.

Despite being the only four foot 14 year old on the battle-field, amongst the other powerful mages they doubt they stood out, which was exactly what they wanted. Khalfani flipped over an incoming Zealot, before jumping on their back and repeatedly punching them in their head. The zealot then swung their large sword over their hand in an attempt to harm the brown skinned hunter, only for the blade to cut their back right after The Desiertan kicked off. "That was a close one..." they said to themself. Quickly they turned their head, seeing Wilhelm still battling not too far from them. A 7 foot warrior raised their bludgeon from behind Wilhelm but before they could swing it, Khalfani aimed their gun and pulled the trigger, causing a bullet to hit the side of their head. The warrior fell slowly, crashing onto the ground as their consciousness seeped out of their skull.

The Espada

”Phew – This really brings back memories.” The mercenary muttered to himself as he observed the chaos unfold in the Boscosi capital. It had been a long time since he’d last seen a coup, but for some bizarre reason it was honestly a nostalgic sight. Kenzo had been part of them a multitude of times in the past, in both sides. It was natural for a warrior who had lived as a mercenary in a continent full of conflicts after all. However, he was honestly a little upset he’d been late to this specific party.

He’d been travelling through Minstrel for the last year, unaware Fiore’s recent events. So, it was not hard to imagine the surprise he felt when he found out most of Fiore’s top guilds were now involved in a civil war within Bosco. If he didn’t know better, it was almost as if there was an unknown party that wanted to lure the strongest figures of the kingdom away with this civil war nonsense.

Regardless, Kenzo didn’t even care for reasons like that one. The only thing in his mind was the regret of not selling his sword to the highest paying bidder out of those royal brats scrambling for their father’s throne. As the horde of zealots burned buildings with torches, pillaged and plundered the city in their way to the coronation, Kenzo could only feel disgust. He wasn’t unfamiliar with those savage acts; this was war. The unpleasantness came from the fact they justified themselves in the name of some God. As far as the warrior was concerned, that was just the weak man’s excuse. Whoever this pretender was that reclaimed her divine right to rule was trash in his eyes. Even if his guild master Alisa hadn’t asked him to tag along, the mere thrill of delivering some fanatics back to their god was motivation enough for the swordsman to interfere.

Jumping from the top of a roof and into the fray, the blue haired male instantly summoned all of his gear from his pocket dimension ring. A swarm of zealots had started breaching one of the hastily assembled barricades blocking a major road leading into the city, killing the defenders with no regards as to their own lives. Kenzo fell upon them from above, slamming Beowulf’s Axe in the ground. A sudden explosion of ice covered a 20-meter area in an instant, piercing and freezing to the bone the attacking zealots. Many of them were turned into statues, while the rest were impaled and torn apart by the spikes of ice surging from the ground.

Resting the large axe on his right shoulder, Kenzo pointed his golden sword in his other hand towards the defeated pretender he’d heard to be called Wilhelm.

”I won’t allow any invaders to cross through this gate. So you can go ahead and go help somewhere else” A cocky smile crossed the blue haired man’s face. ”Just tell the new queen to prepare a nice sack of Jewels”

Karisa

Summer Time
Ball

Karisa could appear as young as she wanted to be, the same as old. The things she was able to do with time in her hands were phenomenal. She heard there was a party going on, not just any party, but one with her sister invited. Where was her dear invitation?~ Too bad her companion had to stay behind, but this was for the best. Her staff followed as it floated behind her like a dog. News of certain people being here made her want to see if the things said were really true. Her black raven hair was feathery with volume as it shined like an onyx gem. Her eyes were black as the abyss that belonged to part of her soul. Some could say she had no soul, but if one looked inside her eyes they could see the whole universe and time within.

Time had no escape unless it was paused.

She wore a beautiful white dress with no straps as she used what she could to hold them up. The skirt part was made of white feathers that could be compared to feathers from an angel's wings, preferably Seraphims. She was a mom, a goddess of Seven, and one who was supportive only to a selective few. She didn't like drama, but she was brought into it a lot. It was quite the curse, her life in general. Her love was away as he seemed to be busy off doing something. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong with the twins within as she goes in to help her sister and the few who are here. She had no idea who else was here as she was surely invited by this unknown letter. The only thing odd with her outfit is the sunglasses that she wore with the elegant attire she had on. If only the girl who was supposed to be here had more things, had spells then she could've been here in her stead. Nonetheless, she just ignored all those she had no idea who they were and was ready to act if it was needed. With her large pass of war and etc., she knew she will always have to be ready.

Rather it is Peace or War.

Alisa

WORDS: 1210 | TAG: @Bosco | ARMOR

Once the siblings had reached an agreement, Alisa didn't really feel a need to meddle any further. The whole succession crisis had erupted from their disagreement, the foreigners did their best to support whichever one:

"Indeed... There won't be much of a country to support if these guys have their way.", a country is its people after all. Not armies, not machines, and certainly not religious icons. So naturally, all the work left for supporters like themselves now stood right before them. To wipe out the desperate, last ditch resistance, "For now... Do try to keep up hmm~?"

The man had been bedridden for a few months, after all, but she could at respect him for joining the front lines instead of twiddling his thumbs while everyone else dealt with the problem. Not that she gave it much thought in the heat of battle, her white eye sharp and ready to detect every invader in the vicinity: After all, no sooner than they wiped out one wave did a few more show up, scurrying across the streets like rats. Assuming rats had the ability to set everything ablaze wherever they went... Now there's a dreadful thought.

"Burn, infidels!!!", some enemies, however, were particularly boisterous, more than enough for anybody to notice them regardless of sensory magic. The hateful cries accompanied the frightened shrieks of a mother and her two children

They stepped out into the open almost immediately, a trio of citizens running out of an alleyway, trampling over the dead and dying remains of the cultists Alisa had just slaughtered. Right on their tail stood yet another pathetic posse of adult men and women in rags and robes. Alisa clicked her tongue, drawing her sword as she barely had enough time to swipe a hand up, erecting a last ditch layer of defense between the attackers and the innocent people so cruelly targeted.

"Get out of here!", she called out to the people, pointing further into the city, "Head for the castle and don't look back!!"

"Don't let them get away, burn them all!!"

They knew what these cultists had come here to do. Everybody in the city knew it well enough the moment they saw them spewing fire all over the place. But seeing their cruelty right before her eyes, completely ignoring every last warrior in the vicinity and instead concentrating on the non combatants. Alisa's brow twitched as she gripped the hilt of her sword, dashing in at full speed.

"Repulsive... To think you'd stoop so low as to burn women and children alive.", so preoccupied with the civilians, the cultists barely had a split second to respond. Used to burning helpless citizens alive, they were no more accustomed to the battlefield than the very victims they hunted down, barely guarding their flank in a way, not turning their attention to Alisa until she was right on top of them, "Absolutely repulsive!!"

her blade held out as she swung it horizontally, putting all her might behind her gleaming black blade as it sung through the pathetically soft enemy, cleaving him in half in a gory display. Noticing the threat too late, his companion turned his flaming hands onto the sculptress, hoping to cast another spell:

"You'll burn like the rest of th-gfhhhh!!!", only to be silenced as the lithomancer removed one hand from the hilt of her sword, thrusting it out towards the cultist and shoving a crystalline blade into it's gaping mouth, killing him instantly

Throughout her onslaught, Alisa took care not to get so wrapped up in battle to neglect her surroundings. There were only so many small fry they could throw at them before a stronger foe might deign to show their face, and with this many people, she had to be careful to avoid any friendly fire. Indeed, Alisa hadn't invited anybody... But she was still pleased to see Kenzo and Karisa joining, as well as Jikan and some other people she'd never met:

"Guess the cavalry just arrived~"

As Jikan dashed forward through the first wave of fighters she confronted that waved the banners of Brunhild and were decked out in their army's banner colors, holding their blood stained swords and axes, the red and black haired enchantress warrior bobbed and weaved through the strikes and reach of the enemy combatants that tried to attack her. The sight of her hair flickering was clear as she danced around people. Jikan was still a low combat experienced wizard compared to other magic users, but the magic mana flowing through her body and her physical training still put her at a far advantage to regular citizens. And these brutes were not even warriors, just unhappy people of an outcome with weapons in their hands. They were not trained mercenaries or people trained in the art of combat. And so with her speed, agility, and elegance, it was easy for the novice fighter to get the better of them.

After ducking under an attempted slash at her head, Jikan through out a hook body shot to the man's gut that attempted to cut her head off. His body fell down as he dropped his sword with a cough and fell onto the ground unconscious. Rather not have to keep people, even these manicas, but I won't hesitate if I have to. The fighting was heating up, more and more waves of the fanatics were coming, but worse was that they were not coming after the armed fighters like Jikan, but rather burning and stabbing helpless civilians as they attempted to run out of their homes and fleeing down the street. The sheer number was becoming to be aggravating, no matter how many Jikan punched, more came in their place. She could drop them but not defend as many people they could go after. A sigh of relief came from her distressed fighter as more fighters arrived.

A small black child was dashing, jumping, and pretty much bar fighting with ever attacker that came by him. No, more like assassinating them. The boy was nimble, striking and slashing them without mercy that in a sight that was a combination of an assassin at play, and an anger beast being unleashed. Just what made the child fight so ferociously? Who knows, but one thing Jikan could tell from what he saw. He was deadly, and had plenty of weapons. Quickly taking a gun and shooting an approaching enemy that was coming up behind Wilhem.

And then another person joined, appearing out of no way from above to smash into the ground and explode an wave of ice around the Brunhild troops.

Jikan eyes scanned around her, people with names were here, people with well know reputations. Kenzo, Alisa, Karisa...this was becoming a sight and a concern. If these people were here, just what did Jikan get herself into? Jikan body let loose a part of her tense, wrapping her arms around a woman with a spear that was a few meters behind Karisa and lifting the woman's body into the air before slamming her into the ground with a body slam before getting back into her feet.

"I do not like this at all".

Wherever I May Roam (Cassia and Reiner Supporters) 11f90b45725b588d3a1cf66aaf33a141

There were a few people that stood out amongst the fray. There was a red-haired girl who cut down her foes without issue, there was a dark haired woman who looked a lot like that famous guild master of Blue Pegasus. In fact, Khalfani could have sworn that it was her. Lastly but not least there was a mage who leapt from the sky and upon landing caused ice to sprout and take out a platoon's worth of enemies. Even still, Brunhild had some loyal soldiers. They were loyal and they came in waves like an angered ocean. Khalfani struggled to keep up because unlike these specific mages they were a lot less skilled in magic. That didn't mean they was any less of a skilled fighter overall though. After shooting the Warrior who had nearly taken Wilhelm's head off, they turned to hear some of Brunhild's grunts shouting to burn them all. Civilians ran for the wind, attempting to save themselves. Unfortunately these fanatics did not let up. Within moments they were burning banners and innocent people. The screams filled the air like a poisonous fog. The fourteen-year old hunter couldn't take it. Quickly they looked around, ducking as one of the crazed fans of Brunhild swung an axe. Quickly they sprung their leg outward, kicking them in the stomach before sending them on their back. With a swift pull of the trigger the man was shot in the chest and delivered to hell, where Osiris would happily meet them.

There had to be a way to get these people off of the battlefield, they thought. They were running down the street attempting to escape but everywhere they went they would be met by Brunhilds fanatics . After a couple seconds of looking around, Khalfani saw it. There were trees on the other side of the town but the civilians couldn't get there thanks to the evil-doers. Trees meant forest, forest meant some sort of safety, at least outside of this town. So, Khalfani sprung into action. "If you want to stay alive, follow me!!!" The young demi-god shouted. They used every ounce of voice they had to shout. Luckily many of the people heard them and began running towards them. However, many of Brunhild's lackeys heard them too. Khalfani rushed over to pick up one of the fallen bystanders and placed their arm around their shoulder, quickly moving through the other side of the town.

The group of civilians moved in a huddle behind them. "We need some help over here!" they shouted. As Brunhilds crazed warriors ran towards them they lifted their gun and shot at them. Then again. Then again. "Stay together and fight the fuck back!" they shouted as they moved through the town. They wanted to live? Then they had to defend themselves too. Of course they weren't concerned that they were following a kid, people just wanted to be safe because people were inherently soft. Either way, Khalfani now had an even bigger responsibility and that was to get these women, men and children to safety.

The Espada
Tag: | 500 Words | Other

The sounds of dying people at the warrior’s spell left the air just to be replaced by the mayhem of the zealot’s invasion. It was surprising the chaos and destruction going on in the city. Kenzo wondered how in the hell the invaders had managed to pull such a large scale operation in secret, but there were a lot of things he still ignored regarding this Civil War, so answers would have to come later. For now, he would be keeping up his word. As long as he was there, none of the invaders were to cross the gate. Taking a quick glance at the city’s interior, he saw quite a spectacle. People ran for their lives as fire consumed buildings and flesh indiscriminately. Soldiers and attackers squabbled in the ground, each of them fighting for their lives. Mages casted spells on both sides, making the air boom as explosions tore through each sides’ ranks. It was a truly chaotic sight. ”Haa.. This really is war.” A nostalgic sigh came out of the mercenary.

As he took a glance at the battlefield, he noticed a few familiar faces, along with people that stood out from the rest of the crowd. A red headed girl masterfully wrestled and knocked out foes with her bare fists, much like the famed warrior monks of Joya he’d come to train under in his youth, while a tiny frame slipped around and away through the crowd of attackers as he felled one after another with a silver pistol. The kid had a hardened look in his face, the all too familiar look of adrenaline rushing through a person trying to survive. As he efficiently killed the invaders with his gun, the swordsman couldn’t help but wonder if he was used to the sight of death. Maybe when all of this was over, he’d take a look around to see if he survived, something in the kid piqued Kenzo’s interest enough.

Either way, the male’s worries of the interior of the city were taken care of as soon as he saw Karisa arrive. While Alisa was more than enough to handle the rabble rampaging through the city, he knew the combination of the two sorceresses guaranteed their victory. Now, he simply had to do his own job. The path leading to the gate was the perfect killing range for the warrior. Lunging from his spot, he intercepted the next group of attackers as they made it into the walled hallway leading into the interior of the city. Sachsia was truly any general’s dream of a city. It was easily defensible, and its walls were strategically built to create chokepoints and vantage points for barraging from atop. As Kenzo slashed through the invaders with his sword and axe effortlessly, he wondered if there was something wrong with this attack. While the damage had already been done, it was nothing particularly devastating. It was almost, as if this was going to be too easy… Was he missing something?

Karisa

Summer Time
Ball

Karisa could hear screams of innocent people, shouts of leaders that are escorting those who cannot fight, and clinks of metal hitting against each other. Her long black hair flowed back as she walked towards what seemed to be the battle of many. Her black abyss eyes looked towards an area uncovered and had to make sure to find as many innocent people as possible and save them. "Eris, go within the Shadows and search for those who need help," Karisa spoke coldly and quietly. "As you wish," an evil smirk could be seen within Karisa's shadow before it instantly vanished. Her staff floated beside her as she paid attention to her surroundings.

She heard someone running behind her as she smelt a sickening stench coming to her. She swiftly twisted her body to twirl enough so she could stare at her target. Snapping her fingers she pointed towards them to summon a large dog. They jumped at the man and tore them to shreds before disappearing. "You're not innocent in my eyes..." she whispered with spite to them before curling her pointing finger, summoning her staff to come closer. Her foot stepped on his cape while her dark eyes gazed down at them. "I wonder what to do with you...". It was like her mind was being clouded by Eris.

When chaos happened, Eris's blood within her took over. A wicked smile escaped her pretty glossed lips before she just knocked him out instead. A part of her was thirsty, thirsty to kill, but she had to continue to hold herself from doing such a thing. Sighing in relief due to control she turned around and flipped her black hair. Her eyes saw her shadow come back and embraced her. "Some people in the back of the building are surrounding a room filled with women and children," Eris reported back as Karisa frowned, "Tsk.... Let's go then. My sister has this place covered," she coldly spoke in a breathy whisper.

She ran off towards the back of the building and away from what seemed to be important people to Bosco. Truly, she could care less who they were as nobility had nothing on her. They were after all... just a pretty picture for their respective country.

"We're close, my goddess," Eris spoke to her as she leads the way with her shadow. Karisa turned into the hall that had a T section. Before she could even question which way her ears picked up the sound of screams from the left, but something told her to go to the right. "Ugh, I need to get to them...", she felt her heart panic. Her stomach had heartbeats that were quickening. No one knew besides Kazimir and the Goddess of Discord who was now herself, Eris. Her eyes gazed towards what seemed to be a man leaning against the wall while sitting. He seemed to be in distress.

"What are you doing here? You sho-", she was about to say before being interrupted by a sobbing man of old.

Alisa

WORDS: 1910 | TAG: @Bosco | ARMOR

Best part about having aquired this ocular power? Even with her eyes fixed on the enemies before her, Alisa could perfectly keep track of any other foes in her surroundings, and easily note how her allies had steadily thinned through the horde, one by one, at times dozens at a time. The number of enemies, however, didn't seem to be getting smaller in any way imaginable. Alisa took down one, two, three more that followed the earlier two, but even then her efforts hardly made a single dent in their numbers:

"Seems like this will be a battle of attrition...", she noted, silently musing to herself as a hoisted her sword and charged into the fray once more.

There really were a lot of cultists here. To slaughter them all meant they'd need to keep this up for a good while longer, while trusting the other defenders to take down their share of them. However, even the fighters Alisa had never seen before seemed quite capable of holding their own, from the redhead who helped her supporting Cassia, to the young dark skinned male tearing at the enemy ranks with the grace of an assassin. They really weren't making much of a dent here huh? Plus with all the civilians to protect, they all had far too many places to look and not enough eyes. That was, until someone had an idea. With a loud, rallying cry, the dark skinned youth drew all the civilians to his position:

Good way to think under pressure~, she spoke, regrouping, seeing an opening to intercept the enemies as they moved to chase down the civilians.

Indeed, if they could get all the civilians in the same place, the tides would turn in their favour. Murderous fanatics would have only one place to run, oblivious to the danger around them: Right towards the defenders. Either they killed all the cultists in their frantic effort to burn the civilians, or they evacuated all the non combatants, leaving them to fly freely. Either way, they won. And with Kenzo keeping watch over the gates and keeping any more enemies from coming in, they wouldn't get new reinforcements anytime soon. Alisa saw her sister heading off and shot her a knowing smile. There were indeed plenty of people left in the city, hiding from the enemies, to scared to follow the young man's cry to race for the woods. Karisa could take of all those, which just left the horde going after the fleeing civilians. Alisa saw them, crying out in fanatic fury as they rushed into the plaza from every street leading into it, forming a menacing, intimidating horde as they attempted to swarm the main street. But they would get no further:

"Just where in the devils are you looking hmmm~? Awfully cocky to look away from your opponent!!", with a loud, menacing shout, Alisa stepped into the fray, taking aim at the center of the plaza from one of the streets leading into it, and unleashing one of her strongest spells.

This level of power was probably overkill for enemies like this. No, it was defenitely unnecessary, merely a third of this much mana would have killed any of them. But for this strategy to work, Alisa had to take down as many enemies in one fell swoop: And that's exactly what happened. A seemingly harmless blade of crystal collided with the statue in the center of the plaza, quickly detonating and enveloping the whole area into a sea of crystals, any cultists trapped within instantly killed, leaving little more than startled statues in their wake. Streets, houses and cobblestones could be rebuilt, so Alisa spared little thought to preserving them if it meant eradicating her foes... But alas, some were a little harder to kill:

"Impressive... Some of you managed to survive hmmm~...?", even despite the immensity of the blast, some of the cultists towards the edge had managed to survive, and now gathered their arms and bearings to make one last push, rushing down towards the lithomancer with endless fanaticism. Raising her arms once more, Alisa stared down her foe and shouted towards the male trying to lead the civilians towards the woods, "Go!! I'll hold them off!!"

With Kenzo busy at the gates and Karisa in the house, Alisa stood by herself, blocking the streets and preventing any reinforcements from reaching the escapees.

Jikan

Jikan indeed did not like the situation she found herself in at all. The stomping of feet continuously, the smell of blood hitting the ground and splatting the walls, being mixed with iron and steel, the smoke filling her nose and mouth at times as the homes and buildings were flooded by rebels and ransacked and burned. But what hurt her the most, what angered her the most and made the older enchantress' skin crawl, her blood boil, and for her to move, punch, kick, and even headbutt with an animistic ferocity, was the sounds and sight of families being targeted. Fathers and Mothers holding their children close to their hearts as they dashed out and fell, falling to the blade of the hysterical invades as they shielded their off spring with their bodies, their only armor.

People fought, and the winners won. They told the stories. And the warriors were normally adults, people with more likely lived lives, able to fight and die because they were most likely causing the issue. But babies, toddlers, children, heck even teens. They had no voice in this. They had no choice in this. And even when they did not choice or were forced to be soldiers in the adult's madness, their blood still found a way to be spilled. And that was the sight and sounds that were haunting the red haired woman. With ever face knocked to the ground, with every adolescent cry prevented by a last minute kick or punch, there was another that Jikan heard that she could not get to. With ever person Jikan helped, there was one that she did not, and for everyone person she defeated, two more came to fight and target the weak, the most defenseless; children. It drove her mad!

This is not working, if this keep up we won't be able to protect anyone. We can defeat them, no problem, but if we can't safe these people's lives then we have only failed! The worry was making the fighter desperate, she was beginning to grab people by the neck and throwing them through windows and against building walls as she dashed between bodies. Pulling at anyone that was about to strike at a civilian, especially one that was underage. Then she heard a shout, a strong clear one that was yet young. Turning her head she saw the boy that was jumping about slashing and shooting before, now leading a mass of people forward to the tree lines. He was gathering them and attempting to lead them out. If that was where they were going, then so should she. "QUICK THIS WAY!!!!". With a spinning kick the red headed warrior knocked a man carrying an axe through an ally before the mass of people she was around began to run, with he speed advantage she stayed around them, easily move to each of their sides, back and front, to knock away approaching enemies.

Khalfani †
Wherever I May Roam (Cassia and Reiner Supporters) 11f90b45725b588d3a1cf66aaf33a141

There was a lot going on at one time. The village was literally on fire and Brunhilds grunts were rolling in, line after line, after line. It felt like this battle would never truly end. Khalfani didn't fret though, for the young Desiertan knew that the mages of Fiore would Rue the day- they always did. Their talents were better used getting these people to safety, so that is exactly what they would do. The crowd of people behind them fought back with whatever they could as the lunatics attempted to hold them back. Some of the civilians fought for their right to live, while others hugged and protected those they loved with their bodies. Khalfani on the other hand punched their enemies, knocking them out of the way so that they could get to the other side of the village. The main building was up in flames. Lunatics laughed and rejoiced in their idea of justice. They were lost...all of them. Following someone like Brunhild would only bring you to defeat both in life and after. The Desiertan turned towards the gate to keep themself updated. The heretics seemed to be trying to make their way inside but the Crystal mage known as Alisa, guild member of Blue Pegasus stopped them. She yelled out for the Knight to continue moving and so they did.

Behind them another voice could be heard. Khal didn't know who it belonged too, but it was obviously someone trying to get the other people who weren't with them to safety. The young mage shot through the impending lunatics, clearing a pathway. It didn't didn't take long for them all to make it to the other side but there was a problem. Right in front of the Knight and the citizens of Stella was a group of about thirty Heretics all in formation. Behind them was an exit to the village, but they were blocking it. They wore devilish smirks as if they were mocking the young person's attempt at getting everyone to safety. Khal swallowed, slowly lifting their gun. The people behind them began to panic. "Oh no." & cries filled the air around the Rune. There was only one of Khal, against all of the heretics. Dammit they thought.

"I'm only gonna say this once... they began with their gun raised. "I don't want to have to kill you all, but I will get these people to safety." They panted, armor soaked in blood and their face scratched up and painted with the ashes from the fire. "And I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen." Khalfani frowned. The children behind them began to cry, as their parents prayed nervously. "Shut up, kid. You're outnumbered. Surrender now and we might just let you live." One of the grunts stepped forward, licking his lips. Khal clenched their jaw, wrapping their finger around the trigger. There was one bullet spell that they could use to make way, but they didn't want to waste it if they could help it.

Who were they kidding though? These looneys already had their mind made up. "No? Okay then ahahahaha-" Just as the talkative grunt took a step forward, Khalfani pulled the trigger. A bullet of light zoomed through the air until it pierced the man's skull. However, that wasn't the extent of the spell. Once it came in contact with the mans head, it created an explosion that covered 10 meters in all directions killing all of the grunts guarding the exit.

The old man crawled to her and started to speak some nonsense and then finally got to the point, his daughter was trapped behind a door that was being broken into by some baddies. "Don't worry, I'll go save her," she had to go play the hero it seems, but she didn't mind saving innocent people since that was what her guild was all about. She flipped her black hair and told the old man to sit still or hide and she will tell his daughter to go directly to him in the direction he'll go. With her long beautiful legs, she gracefully walked towards where the man pointed to indeed see some hoodied men - according to their voices, talking as they tried to break into the door. "L-Leave us alone!", someone cried out from behind the door. Her nose could catch a smell of blood as if someone was hurt behind that door.

She got at least fifteen feet away from the men and cocked her head to the left, "Why don't you leave that door alone, I doubt anything behind there is for you," she scolded then in a stern tone. They turned to look up and down her body like disgusting pigs as she swore she heard them slurping and it gave her the shivers. Their fingers wiggled as they walked towards her, "Ugh, gross... I don't want to even know what you were thinking," she flicked her wrist and pointed towards them as a circle formed under them. As soon as they took another step the spell exploded. They fell to the ground, one of them slowly reaching for Karisa as she walked towards them with no expression.

"Disgusting," her facial expression spoke well of her words as she glared at them with a snare look. Her long legs lifted and stepped on their head before walking all over their body to get to the door. "Open this door or let it be known I will destroy this door with a chance of someone getting harmed accidentally," she warned them. She could hear someone fiddle with a lock as the door then slowly opened to see an eye peeking. It looked fearful as it gazed upwards to get a look at Karisa's tall luscious form. "I'm here looking for a blacksmith's daughter, the ones who were chasing you all are good as dead," she said in a determined and dominating tone. The door finally opened all the way as there were tears from the woman's face. "I-I'm her, where is my father? I'm the only one he has left for a family. I will survive the rest of the way there, but please take these children and women to somewhere safer," she asked. Karisa pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, "Alright, go, he went over there," she pointed towards the way without moving otherwise. She nodded and ran off to where her father was. "Let's go," she stepped in the room to see there were four children and two women, a man that was bleeding,

Guess these guys weren't gonna make it any easier for her would they...? Alisa had already lost count of how many she'd killed, to say nothing on the many who'd have gotten caught in the large area of her spells, turned into little more than mere statues in the wake of the explosions. No sooner did she kill off a handful of them, more came in their place, bradishing those menacing, blazing steams of fire, ready scorch anything that crossed their paths... Despicable. The mere thought of how far down Brunhild stooped made her grit her teeth, clenching tightly around the hilt of her blade as she shouted:

"HaaaaAAAAHHH!!!", putting every ounce of strength behind her swing as three more cultists approached, she sidestepped away from their flames, stepping in beside one of her foes, the blade close to the ground as she swung from her hip in an upwards slash, the very weight of the blade crushing bones and whatever semblance of armor it could find in the way, even before she cleaved through their spines in a bloody mess.

With her strength and the size of her sword, Alisa found it dreadfully easy to cleave through their bodies, soft and untrained like those of somebody who spends far too much time on their knees praying than actually training their body for the hardships of battle. None of them stood a chance against her or any of the other defenders on their own, but their numbers seemed endless, and after so long of cutting them down one after another, even Alisa felt a trickle of sweat running down her cheek as more cultists approached to repalce the ones she'd killed. With her perfect sight, not even the sneakiest of enemies managed to slip past Alisa as she dauntlessly guarded their only way forward. Though not a hardened soldier by any stretch, the Master of Blue Pegasus had seen her fair share of blood and battle, war in every shape or form. After years of fighting, however, she'd never seen an enemy so keen to wage war not against another army, but against those with no means or power to defend themselves:

"How laughable...", she sneered, cutting down the nearest cultist as she attempted to dart past her, a merciless, unhesitant swing of her sword. With the power of her left eye, Alisa had no blind spots, and no matter how her foes tried circling around her, she unevitably homed in and zoomed right after them, cutting them down, then reliating by plunging her sword in the chest of whomever tried coming at her from behind, taunting her enemies, goading them with everything, as if those increasingly hateful words would draw the enemies' eyes to herself and not to her companions as they went about shielding the civilians, "Puny and powerless against anybody who'd fight back hmm? And yet you'd still try to wage war against an entire country? Pathetic."

She knew fully well what these cultists wanted, from the moment they first came here. But everytime she thought of it, she felt a fury growing between teeth, the likes of which she hadn't experienced in years. Illumin this, Illumin that, burn him, burn her, salvation here, salvation there. How dare they... With her sword yet plunged into the nearest cultist, Alisa glared into those half dead eyes:

"Where is your worthless God now?!!", she roared with all her might, dragging her sword upwards with brutalizing force, the bisected body erupting in a bloody mess right before her eyes

She refused to accept it. The Illumin these people believed in... Wasn't the same God so many kind, good natured people prayed to for guidance and the salvation. It was natural for people to seek solace in a higher power... But only the most foul would use their beliefs to justify such heinous acts, anything to wash their hands free of the guilt.

"B-Blasphemy!!", one of the nearest cultists jolted in place, fear and fury broiling into one melting pot as the civilians suddenly faded from his mind, seeing red at the mere sound of hearing his Lord's name used in vain as such, "You whore! You'll burn in the abyss for your arrogance!!"

Looking back to the dark skinned youth and the people around him, a momentary hint of concern crossed her face as she saw some of the enemies who slipped past and managed to make their way to him. In the end it seemed her worries were misplaced as with an explosive display of magic power, the man soon blew up the cultists who encroached on his position. Alisa smiled: Those people were in good hands. This meant... Alisa could cut loose a little bit...

Jikan

The light was beginning to shine for the weary citizens that found themselves in this unfortunate hell on earth that they found themselves in. Thanks to the person who Jikan found herself fighting along side, Khalfani, who Jikan had no idea of their identity, the civilians were now being Shepard out of the streets to the open forestry in hopes of evacuating them to safety. The sound of feet stomping on grass and stone were present as the smaller second group of people were being protected and guided by the red haired wizardess as she moved around the group in bursts of speed as nearby Brunhild supports spring up from the various side position one by one in aims to stopping them. Screams were given by the scared civilians as they saw their attackers before being stopped by gaps by the sight of Jikan's red long hair appearing before them. A punch to the stomach to cause the man to fall to the ground, a dash, a chop to the back of the neck to a women with a pair of daggers in her hands, another blur of motions, a kick to the head that sent another body to a trailing group of attackers.

Jikan was doing her best, trying to be at multiple spots at once, as best as she could. But there was only so much running she could do with her current level of strength before needing to slow down or stop. She was powerful in some of her physical capabilities, but there was only so much her human body could do before it needed to stop to breath and recover.

A shout came from someone, at this point with the amount of different voices she was hearing she was not quite sure. But what she did know that they were friendlies, for a sea wave of crystals exploded somewhere, knocking only the charging revolters in the air and to the ground before telling them to continue moving forward. She turned back towards the front, witnessing the group of attacks reaching the boy in the lead with the first group. Hostility oozed out of the would be attackers before the boy once ain whipped out his pistol. Whatever it was it was safe to say it was a magic bullet again, but this one was different, much more powerful than the others. For it caused an explosion that covered 10 meters in all directions killing all of the grunts guarding the exit. The shock scaring the group of people along side Jikan.

But only now did Jikan realized that she was in a troubled situation. There were a few members in her group that were hurt, their injuries hindering their movement and making their escape more difficult. Even worse, some were now falling behind, losing the protection of the group and Jikan.

Damn it....

Stopping in her tracks momentarily n a position close to the group of travelers among her and the few hurt civilians, Jikan threw her left hand out, creating a 2 meter white magic seal in her palm while a larger 8 Meter magic circle began to cover the designated area spreading over all those nearby that she could heal as best as she could. Her mana engulfed all who are in the ring with a gust of soft wind that flows around them, covering their wounds and healing them.
