Jikan

Whether it was due to the fog of the town, Jikan's body somehow falling into a calm trance due to the pleasant relaxation and joy of the night in the spooky town, or just sheer pure bad luck with walking about alongside her brown haired Duhlin stead Maxx, Jikan had gotten a little...side tracked, and eventually lost. Wondering in the shadows and corners of the buildings, the lights and sounds of the lively activities slowly getting frustrated further and further away with each step and turn.

She was now somehow in the outskirts of the town. A place vast, different from the rest. Magically perhaps or just physically. Either way it felt like there was no one really here, at least no one that was a native inhabitant of the town. Time felt...off, and the few animals Jikan saw were motionless. The air felt different and the existence of everything empty, like in an abyss, a void.

Unbeknownst to Jikan, she had walked herself and her mount companion Maxx through a door, one left open. And due to the darkness and fog of everything, she did not even notice. And unfortunately, with her continued walking, she was now some distance away from the door that lead her inside and would have to find her way back. But in this odd magical place, what could be here?

Honestly Samhain was somewhat strange to lucretia, a mix of the fog and the denizens along with the nature of the place was somehow… well it was somehow relaxing compared to the other darker places she had been. The woman had interacted with many a location in a short amount of time, ranging from bosco to asteria and even Iceberg. But the only place that made comparison was Dahlia…

If it wasn’t for the lively activities and cheerful individuals. Making it difficult for the werewolf to remain on guard. Exhaling a little bit the woman padded through the town, hands in her pockets and considering the varied activities as she passed them. Some people were bobbing for apples, others were chatting up and down other creatures of the night. Peaceful actions that made the woman smile softly.

If it it was possible here it should be possible everywhere. She’d consider briefly her own form and what it meant for her here. She’d ‘fit in’ more if she took it but it’d also be draining. She’d step to one side as she watched a group of individuals pass her. Most of them were monstrous or had some demonic traits; something that she was growing less and less bothered by.

This place felt like a place of peace and the woman eventually found herself amidst the silence of what amounted to ‘elsewhere’. She may not have been paying attention to where she was going with how this place was working to lower her guard. She’d sigh a bit and turn around, finding that where she had come from wasn’t where she was looking.

”Oh great did I step into a maze…?”

The woman huffed a bit and stepped lively, finding herself eventually in what amounted to an endless path… With a frustrated huff she’d turn again and and again… Before bumping into something or someone! She’d vocalize her apology feeling a little out of sorts given that she had no idea where she was!

”Erm… Sorry about that”

Jikan

The fog in the wide open was both cool and chilling. Maxx, Jikan's beloved Duhlin was beside her but was thankfully calm. The place that they found themselves did not jolt the stead's mind or body, he was calm, he was in control; in whatever place this place was. It was a different thing for Jikan, she was calm but definitely not in control in here. She had no awareness of this place, safe from the fact that it was in some place, some dimension perhaps, some location tat was away but connected to the town of Samhain.

But alas, if they found a way in then there had to be a way out. They would just have to go on to get out. Which would be something easy to do...hopefully, if the situation she found herself in along side her companion mount was not the consequences of someone casting a wide range magic spell.

She knelt, feeling the ground, solid grass, dirt that was common at everywhere else. Soil, fresh, but still different. A worm was present in compile, but was not moving at all. "Strange..." Howver, it would do them no good to stay still, but they must move cautiously. And so they moved ahead, Jikan hopping back onto Maxx and soft strides forward trying to move through the fog. Left in a closed path, a right into an even further open space, down several paces at a smooth trout. This carried on before eventually something bumped into them.

With a quick turn and flick of the reins, Jikan guided her steed away, whipping around in a fast short turn to give a few meters of distance between the two. Jikan eyed the person. soon seeing more of them. But not clearly. They were large, and from the tone o their voice probably female. A voicalized loud apology from them.

On edge Jikan was but she maintained the cool unexpressed look she held on her face. It would be harder to see probably though with the female ninja outfit she had on that concealed most of her body. "The apology is fine and unneeded. But who goes there?".

It was hard to really tell what was going on here or where they were. Lucretia glanced around for a moment; noting that… maybe this place wasn’t all that it seemed or more so maybe it was more than it seemed. She’d grit her teeth a little bit at that idea; she didn’t really know what was going on here or why she was feeling like she was going in circles.

Squinting a little bit she could tell what she bumped into was something big, or rather two somethings that were acting as one. IT was hard to see the features of the other person but it looked like they were sitting on some kind of mount. A horse of some kind? Yeah that would be the most commonplace.

They deflected her apology saying it wasn’t needed but then followed suit on asking who she was. Lucretia wasn’t sure if she should; mist and being lost leading into some kind of trap maybe? She’d hesitate and then inevitably shrug her shoulders; what was the harm of it?

”Lucretia Wolfenstein. Now it’s your turn.”

Even though her instincts were saying that she shouldn’t be sharing her own information, a part of her found no reason to really lie. What choice did she have? It’s not like she was creative at coming up with names or monkiers. Even if her epithet was wolfguard it’s not like people would know her from just that either.

”A little lost with all this fog and whatnot really… But that’s what i get for going to a new place without enough information.”

Lucretia found herself chuckling and just shaking her head; if she got out of here she’d have to look into it if she could. If not she’d probably run out of supplies before too long. Not like she was keen on carrying a keg of water on her back and racks of meat with her at all times. Paltry stuff at best...

The fog seemed to fade a little finally. Or at least Jikan's eyes were adjusting and beginning to become more adapt to seeing through the thickness of the weather's veil. It made her more comfortable about the situation, seeing an unknown person was much much better than hearing an unknown person only. And granted, there was no word of criminals or hostile creatures being in Samhain or near, but the mysterious town did pop up out of no where, and such, there could be anything or anyone that could be planning anything, from the town or coming in from the outside.

With a shrug the person spoke, whom Jikan would think was a female given her voice, most definitly. It was...odd that she shrugged. For what reason? Well, she responed, and since Jikan posed the question first and got asked back, she might as well answer. "My name is Jikan, Jikan Supesu".

The lady offered up information as to why she was out here, at least the stated reason she was out her. Lost in the fog which, was understandable. It happened to Jikan too after all. The laugh and shaking of the head was either a facade or her woman laughing at her own situation.

"Yea, it is pretty hard to see in here. It is like it came out of nowhere. This fog, or rather this place in general...feels like it is not natural", her eyes would stay on Lucretia as she spoke, she did not want anything unexpected from her.

A light shined from afar, a ball like object that hovered in place off in the distance from the two, partially hidden in the fog, partially being a standout focal point because of its contrast.

With the fog fading, or with the other’s eyesight adjusting they’d likely pick up a few things about Lucretia. Her armor being one of them, the lack of weapons. The stark white hair playing into the fog a little bit. There was a brimming amount of confidence in the woman’s stature that even though she was lost didn’t seem to really affect her outlook too much. In fact it just made the other woman look around with curiosity. She seemed relaxed even if a bit lost. There would be a reason for that right?

Hearing the other’s name Lucretia furrowed her brow and cocked her head to one side. Had she heard the name before? Maybe? It was really kind of hard to tell nowadays; maybe in passing or maybe someone that was close to that name. The southern region in comparison to iceberg had a lot more people so maybe just just had run across someone with a similar name.

”Pleased to meetcha Jikan. I’d offer a handshake but that’d be a bit awkward with you being on a horse.”

Lucretia let out a small laugh; but with the other saying that this area wasn’t natural the werewolf had to agree. Folding her arms thoughtfully and even rubbing at her chin; unnatural and unprecedented. Two things that her job as a hunter sort of presented. She might not be one in terms of a skillset but she still worked in that venue as best she could.

”I’ll agree there, I was walking through Samhain’s streets and it just sorta rolled in. Or I walked into it? More of the same I spose. Eh?”

With the light shining from afar it’d catch lucretia’s attention; she didn’t even hesitate to turn to look at it. She was wide open and didn’t really seem to care that her back was somewhat to a stranger.

”...Odd.”

Then again it was also the only thing that seemed different to the rest of where lucretia had been wandering through. If she didn’t know better it was this area trying to pull her deeper and only letting her have a ‘companion’ of sorts in meeting this Jikan.

”If I didn’t know better it’d be like one of those fishes with the lights attached to their heads…”

Jikan

As the fog began to momentarily fade and her eyesight, somehow, Jikan began to be able to pick up her environments a little bit. It was not much but Jikan began to see the description of the person before her a little. The lady, Jikan assumed because of the voice, was tall, Jikan was tall for a lady but, she was tall for a person. Standing almost a feet taller than her. If Jikan wasn't on her Duhin, whoever this was would be towering over her right now. Currently, it was reversed, giving Jikan about a five feet height boost while she was on her mount. Was that a grey or white hair color she saw? It was hard to tell.

But that was more of a minor concern. The thing Jikan was thinking of was...why was this lady only with armor? Given that she had that on she had to be some type of warrior. She held her stance like one, strong, confidence, powerful. It only added to Jikan's assumption.

She was relaxed, a bit too much given the unknown around her. She was looking around, either trying to figure the situation out, or possibly looking for someone(s) or something. Was this a set up after all?? Once Jikan spoke her name the woman pretty much gave an expression showing complete confusion. Maybe....she's isn't suspicious... She was maybe just friendly? "I would say likewise but I don't know for sure about that. I'll say we try to get out of here and then that handshake?". Jikan nodded along to Lucretia's other comments, taking them at their face value.

This thought was interrupted by a shining light from afar. The large stranger spotting it around the time Jikan did. She turned, leaving her back and herself unguarded. "what...is that?".

She turned her horse towards the light, getting Maxx into a slow walk as she approached it, "Do you mean an Angular fish?". The light flicked and shifted in the air as if it was waving before bursting away as if it was running. With a shout, Jikan snapped the reins and started to chase the mysterious.
