The infamous Martello family. Rumors about them had spread throughout Oak town like wildfire for a variety of different reasons. The first reason being because they were a crime family, committed to obtaining money through ways the government of Fiore would deem unlawful, no doubt. The second reason being because they had some extremely powerful members. Not only were they considered villains around these parts, but they had their hand in the politics of "Oak city". In a way, they were just as prestigious as any guild. Khalfani knew that if they had contacted him for a favor, or quest, if you will, then they were likely expecting the Eternal Nightmare mage to get their hands dirty. In fact, it was something the vampire had been looking forward to. The last few jobs that they took were extremely boring. Very little action had taken place because they were so easy, so the young Morningstar was expecting something a little more fun this time around. Regardless, like always, all that mattered was the money. The city of Oak was dark and gloomy and not just because of the suns absent. That's just how it was around here. The citizens kept to themselves and often moved quietly. Most people lived in fear due to how many dark mages found their way here. Khal had just started making a name for themselves here, that was his own. Although most people couldn't put his face to the name, he knew he was growing more infamous because he could hear the whispers.

Finally, the chaos commander had finally met up with Remy. Remy was of the Martello family, one of the kinder ones who had a bitter relationship with the people. he was small, and very well-spoken. The two of them would meet in the streets of the city before making their way to the abandoned building. Of course, for safety reasons Remy hadn't disclosed too many details about the task at hand. It made sense. A family with that much power would want to keep their activities under wraps. Especially since everything about them were simply rumors considering nobody could ever find proof. The Rune Knights sucked if they weren't able to take them out. If Khalfani had remained apart of them, surely they would have been able to get the job done. Luckily, they knew their worth and was only apart of the organization for Odin's sake. As the two finally arrived at the abandoned building, Khalfani gazed upon body after body. The task was simple. Pass the bodies to Remy who would cut them up but any of Martello's crew would receive a proper send off.It was a noble notion, even if the deed was accompanied by darker acts. So, Khal did just that. The smell of dead bodies was never anything the vampire enjoyed, and the blood was far too warm for him to even want a drink if the urge had taken over. Then with the rest of the bodies that weren't chopped up, he brought them to the cemetery and laid them to rest. Rejoining Remy they were given their pay and that was that...for now.
