Turning her attention to the other patrons of the pub, she scanned the room as someone played lightly on their stringed instrument off a ways away. Lively and rowdy, the bar was jam-packed and quite noisy. It would be easy for someone to blend in here. No sooner had the thought crossed her mind than the alcohol hit her and she could feel its false warmth in her cheeks. Eventually, a rather bold man said something wise to her and though she almost clocked him on the spot, she decided to let it go.
She wondered whether or not Koi was goin to turn up. The invitation to spend some time together not working was enticing, Ikanbi needed to socialize better, truly. She glanced at the clock on the wall and realized her date was likely arriving to the other bar, where Ikanbi wouldn't be. Oh well, she thought to herself. She just didn't have to heart to tell him he annoyed the hell out of her. Truly though, was not showing up for the date any better?
