Kaito

Kaito got a mission asking for some help with some wheeling and dealing with a rival settlement and he is gonna have talk through it with the one that wants to get through the deal making and then back the chief up as they try to make the deal with the rival chieftain but Kai is unsure how he is gonna do this but he trusts that if it comes to it he can make the deals so to not cause the issues   he needs to avoid not like he has ever really ever really been an actual middle man, last time he had been trying to work as a middle man he got attacked and nearly killed and he was gonna avoid being in that spot again if he can help it. He figures maybe he will have to use his own charm even if he can not even seal the deal if he can't seal the deal physically.

He keeps his head on his shoulders and focuses and he goes into the meeting with the main client who is a decently young man who seems like he is on edge about this deal like it matters a lot to him but the other settlement seems to have bitter feelings toward him so he dives harder while trying to help the other settlement even if they detest him. Kaito wonders if there is more to this, so he walks around the settlement and he asks why they feel bitter toward him of all people. He is told of him pulling out of a arranged marriage to their current chieftain who is a woman that will give this man no time of the day after that falling out so this sounds like this is gonna be a lot more work then it had first seemed to be. How was he gonna be able to heal a void that big and maybe full of heart break.

He goes to see the rival settlement which is a pretty decent distance away and he hopes they will not just attack him on sight, but he is gonna do his best to get this deal to work out with no violence. Once he nears the settlement that is against trading and he is about as welcome there as an explosion mage at a fire work factory. No one bothered him, he guessed it was his spooky aura of being strong that has them in defense and not offensive mode to greet him, cause he isn't a child or someone low in power they can bully. He keeps a smile on his face as he walks through their town and they just look at him as if he is a big scary dragon but he guesses he can see why, as he in aspects he is a dragon of sorts.

If he wanted he could probably crush this whole village to the ground living people begging and crying for mercy but he isn't gonna do that to anyone yet unless he truly only has one option and that is never his go to option unless it is truly time to go scorched earth which means he had no other way of handling it and he needed to take it piece by piece and he is maybe shifting into the dark side of himself and he was not gonna allow that to happen he will not go to his primal mindset and tear them apart then hang others by their innards to make a grand show of it. He wonders if that side of him is from his years of abuse and neglect, pent up anger and hatred that he can't seem to escape or out run no matter what or how happy he is.

He figures this is why his love life will fall apart this part of him will scare them away that he is an actual monster and he wants to purge it but he knows he is not strong enough to do it. He is just a mess of trouble and probably smells of death and blood will he ever be able to recover and do anything about this blood lust that is deep in his soul he doesn't know but he knows that killing someone here will do nothing to help them or this trading issue they are having and she needs to see the light and maybe Kai can help her and him rekindle the friendship their settlements aimed to gain all those years ago and maybe the other chieftain has learned his lesson and will maybe take them up on the arranged marriage but he wasn't gonna push his own luck in their first meetings to try that stuff.

He walks into the chieftains hut and he kneels and a green haired woman with earthen green eyes looks down on him she is a woman about six foot six and she doesn't look pleased to see an outsider in her hut but she still welcomes him and he hands the paper to her asking for the trade deal as he was asked to do. The woman stand there looking it over and she looks like she is fine until she gets to the name then she looks very pissed off and looks at Kai then she blushed and looks flustered. He figures she must still like the guy but she is to proud to admit it. She agrees to come with him to talk to the guy and he would work as her personal guard during the talks for the trading in case wither side gets to wild he can step in and just try to talk.

Once her forces are together and ready to go he walks with them and keeps his eyes peeled in case a third party is gonna try to stop the trade union from forming but she wasn't gonna stop if trouble comes. He looks around and he is glad no trouble is happening but he swears he hears some of them scheming against this trading pact. He was keeping a close eye on the ones he over heard speaking of doing that and he is not going to run this into the ground like someone else. He keeps himself battle ready in case this little pissing match becomes a full blown war on this deal he is not looking for force, but he knows often that is what it comes down to is fighting and war, and no one really wins in war it is who lost less in the war that "wins" he was not looking to lose less just not lose at all and protect those that are important to this deal.

He could have just swept this woman off her feet and portaled to the place they needed to be to get this all signed and sealed by her settlement would have lost their collective mind if he was to do that and he knows at least one woman that would be very mad and upset that he was doing such things to other women that were not her, he needed to go and visit her and see what and how she was doing the last time he was in her neck of the woods she had gotten sick after a night of them being out on the town her showing him around and being her cheerful self and Revy wonders often if that woman might just be his soul mate but she doesn't say this to Kai cause Kai is so dense and hard to get it into his mind that someone could actually like him as more then just a friend.

She wished he could see past the monster façade he puts up and actually connect to people one on one but she sees that is also the problem going on in this area and this mission two parties not willing to just give in and accept the other even though they are both on the same side if they could get passed their small disagreements and fights and to just kiss and make up with the other they enter the settlement of the people that hired Kaito and they march up to this hut and the woman enters and orders everyone else to stay out side of the hut and be on their best behavior, Kaito keeps his eyes on the ones that seemed they wanted to start trouble and not stick to the rules of their leader. Kaito will not be distracted from making sure this deal goes through even if a few of her guards had to disappear to do it and he was not going to fail this not this time.

The two chieftain are going back and forth with the other and it is sounding like the deal is gonna get signed and the people move to do their distraction of the signing and paper works cause if the woman dies no one will know the deal is valid besides Kaito and he wasn't gonna let that happen if he could help it and lucky enough for him he is gonna do it to the fullest that he can. the two chieftain sign the forms and Kaito has told them off the others that were aiming to mess with the signing and the trade deals so he can just rest and not worry about it at least for now it looks like the deals all went through and they got out of it nearly undamaged but this chieftain did sign the marriage papers so their settlements would have a stronger bond and that they will one day make a mixed settlement that they will run together with her.
