As the production went on, and the nature of things continued on and on, Vyra came to realize and appreciate the fact that her time within the city would be coming to an end. Or at the bare minimum, she was going to have to make very basic decisions as far as the most important things like residency would be things that she would finally have to consider. She had the benefit, up until this point, of having Marigold Theater cover all of her expenses for the remainder of this performance that was running, but it was a real question as far as how long that would last for. The show, though successful by its own right, had a limited shelf life like that of all other shows that were put on within Marigold. Nothing lasted forever, and even the shows that had historically brought in the greatest total amount of profit, eventually a new show would come to replace it.

That was how it worked within Marigold, and Vyra, though she was not one within that world, she had to some degree already understood it. It was just the nature of things, eventually a show would become tired out and people would want to move on and see something new. It was not quite the same as how things were in Hargeon, where there were no services that could go and have a limited shelf life like that of the performances in Marigold, but it was still something that she could not quite find that there was an equal example there. Here though, it seemed that the people were plenty comfortable knowing that eventually a show would become irrelevant, and for the actors and actresses in particular, knowing that they might be out of work shortly after how long the current show was going on, it did not seem to bother them.

Because it was inevitable that eventually another job would open up and they would find themselves working once again. Even if an actress or actor happened to have a gap between one performance and another, which was a fairly common thing, it would generally give them time to either decompress, find themselves again, or otherwise prepare for another show. The Marigold Theater seldom only had a show or two lined up. Depending on how much you wanted to believe from the people who were performers, the amount of shows that were lined up ranged anywhere from covering the next several months to covering the entire next year. Often, as soon as a show was figured out and determined, efforts were immediately made towards selecting the appropriate cast and crew to set everything up, so while an actress may not have had a show immediately after their latest production ceased, it did not mean they were out of work for long.

Sometimes too though, it would not be for a lack of work that people felt the need to decompress, not out of exhaustion or a sense of needing to find themselves, but rather hoping to not draw attention to themselves. While they were often in the spotlight of the people of Marigold, and to some degrees, within the spotlight of the rest of Fiore too, it also brought with them the undesired reality that they stood to draw significant attention to themselves, and not always that of fans or adoring people who wished to be just like them one day, but also people who hated them, were jealous of their talents, who wanted to become them. Obsessed fans were hardly a rarity, and to some degree through the teachings of one another or otherwise that of just personal experience, some had gotten used to the handling them, but when it came to things like stalkers, that was another animal entirely that seldom they were equipped to deal with.

It made Vyra’s presence at the Marigold Theater a fortunate one, especially given the nature of what was happening to one of the more prominent actresses who had found themselves billed not only as one of the top cast for this latest show, but also that of the next two shows before they would finally see themselves having a break. A time span that would stand to last for nearly two months, two months of having to deal with this stalker issue, two months of it potentially getting worse and worse to the point where things may have escalated, even to the point possibly of causing them to suffer from sort of injury or even worse. Either way, it was enough to warrant having Vyra help them, and with the jewels that they were paying her, not just in terms of a raw payment, but also that of the room and board that had been provided, a true premium given how expensive it typically was within Marigold, she was in no position to decline, nor could she have said that she would have passed on the job anyway.

She had come to know the actress well enough, not enough to say that they were friends, but certainly at the least friendly. She appreciated her company, and no doubt the woman appreciated Vyra to some degree, whether or not it were genuine. But it was enough of a report for her to go ahead and agree to help, and for both of their benefit, it was not a hard job to figure out and handle. The stalker was hardly a smart man, not exactly someone who she had reason to be either concerned towards or otherwise having to be fearful of. It was a larger man, but it was clear he was not quite bright, not quite intelligent. It was very obvious that it would be fairly easy to get the man to leave her alone, and though it took some convincing on the part of Vyra’s darker persona, very quickly they had worked out an arrangement to where the woman in question would no longer be having to worry about the man. Instead, the girl whom Vyra knew that this woman hated instead would become the focus of the man’s attention, which she was sure that if asked, the girl who had hired her would have appreciated the fact.
