The last words spoken by Ava on solid ground. Thankfully she didn’t suffer the curse of certain magic users to be immobilized by the mere act of setting foot on a vehicle. Placing both feet aboard the ship of a rather rookie-looking crew that seemed eager to try and make a name for themselves, but to each their own. All Ava cared about was win or lose, so long as she kept everyone alive she’d have a story to take back to the guild. She fought off a freakin’ sea monster!~ She could brag about that till the next S rank story that ended up coming through the door right?
With the ship sailing off to the supposed beastie’s location, she ran her hands back through her hair, pulling it into her usual spikey ponytail and out of her way as she got ready for whatever threat they were going to face… but it seemed the team were filled deeper with rookies than she thought. Her brow quirked as they seemed to get a little ‘hectic’ at the signs of darkened clouds and grey skies. Ava remained pretty casual about it, standing upright and quirking her brow as she herself could only imagine these things wouldn’t be a threat on their own… soon to be proven wrong.

Character Bonus Program 30%She’d heard this sea beast was found commonly within the storms, but maybe it was just the storm itself. As the waves started to get more manic, she rushed to the captain of the small vessel she’d boarded and called out- “Hey what’s with the rocky show here!? You guys not even know how to sail!?” A biting remark was shouted back but Ava couldn’t even make out enough to give a witty retort over all the wind blowing around them. A sharp crash caught her attention though. Her world turned to the side, and before she could fully register that she was upside down, she was in the water, making it all the more confusing.
She held her breath before she could make the mistake of swallowing water, quick to rid herself of her jacket and kicking off her pants as she swim, just ridding herself of the dead water weight as she swam to the other bodies in the water. They at least seemed to know how to swim, as a handful of them managed to swim back to the ship of their own accord, but at least two showed signs of being seriously knocked about before dropping into the water. With one arm hooked around the captain, she shot out an eruptive spell to rocket her to the next victim of the crashing waves. Finally, with a ‘kick’ off of a final magic circle, she burst from the water itself, holding the two drownees under her arms tight, crashing hard into what used to be the underside of the boat, panting harshly from having to hold her breath so suddenly.
“Okay. New plan. I… am going to shoot off a big explosion… and someone is going to fish us out of this.”
The rest of the crew, soaked through and without strong plans to overturn their ship, were quick to agree.
