As recent events would have it, the Vampiress had been forced to make a decision regarding her future. Her mother had been missing, taken by Khal the Usurper and the Rune Knights had done very little to help. After all Aleja had done to secure her position, her importance in this organization, it seemed as though her status wasn't as important as she presumed. "Casualties of war" is what she heard over and over again every time she attempted to press on. Alas, she could only blame herself. Had she taken Khal's offer she probably would have had her mother back already. It wasn't an easy thing; staying optimistic. There was a huge chance that Lady Celdrua had met a horrible end, yet she clung onto this idea of "hope" for dear life. Without this idea of hope, the commander feared that she would become something she would no longer recognize.

Now, Aleja had finally taken it upon herself to reach out to a mysterious woman with powers beyond her own comprehension. This woman apparently had the ability to return Aleja back to whom she once was; an elf. Lady Celdrua had gone through many transformations in a short amount of time. Absorbing the orb of Magi hardly worked in her favor considering a trapped entity had been able to escape into the real world through her. For a while she had carried a corrupted grace that could only be cured by becoming something far worse than a fallen angel; vampirism. Oddly enough, despite not having an ounce of elven essence left, Aleja enjoyed her time as a vampire. It felt like...her. Make no mistake, the noble lady hardly partook in the feasting of human blood, but everything else that came with such a condition could only be described as euphoric.

The Celdrua's would never have approved of the only heir becoming what they would only see as a demon, much less one that was no longer connected to them through elven-hood. So what was the former elf to do besides stay away and hide from her family? Her father likely kept her condition a secret, yet still he had banished her from their home. Granted he'd still been processing the loss of his wife, it made no difference to the only child he had left. To be a Celdrua meant that you had to look a certain way, act a certain way, and even speak a certain way. For a few months, Aleja did not fit into the Celdrua Narrative. Like the seasons, however, people change. Lady Aleja had changed the way she perceived the world thanks to her own experiences, and with her mother gone she had evolved- some would say.

The world was as dark and as cold as it had always been, with Dahlia seemingly being a lot more grim than usual. The commander waltzed through the empty streets of the damned city, enjoying her last moments as a vampire. Yes, after a few weeks Aleja had finally decided to do what she told herself she would never do; step up for the sake of the Celdrua Household. This, of course, did not mean that she was aiming to be Heir. Believe it or not, the young woman felt as though the world had no longer been safe enough for her not to commit to her family again. This time was different though. She wasn't the same naive child her father had been able to manipulate. This time she had proven herself time and time again...this time she would be doing things her way. And so she walked to meet the one person she hoped could restore her essence.

Apparently her appointment was to be in some shop. Aleja had done all the research she could, but she learned nothing about it except for its whereabouts. The streets were cold but she could not feel it. She only knew because of how vigorously the winds had been blowing. The Vampire began to approach the small shop she was to meet this mysterious woman in and the first thing she noticed was how well kept it was in comparison to the other shops in Dahlia City. Odd, she thought. In a place like this, seeing a shop like that wasn't as comforting as it may have been if she were in the capital. Slowly she approached the door before gently pushing it open just enough to peek inside. There she saw a lonesome woman sitting behind the receptionist desk with her hands folded. "Lady Aleja of the prestigious Celdrua family. Hello." the woman said.

Aleja raised an eyebrow. "You're who I'm supposed to see?" She asked as she approached the desk. "Indeed. I am Hanum. Are you prepared?" She asked. Aleja glanced over at the floors, taking a moment to decide if this was actually something she wanted to do. "You love it, don't you?" the woman asked again, this time with a smirk upon her lips. "Do not be ashamed of it. I was once in your shoes. Ahh~ Becoming a vampire was the most liberating thing that has ever happened to me. To be young...unafraid...powerful. Fufufufu!" The Vampire quickly turned to look upon Hanums face once more, taken aback by the question but oddly comforted by how she understood what she'd been feeling. It struck a certain nerve to hear that someone else had known a truth you thought belonged only to you. "It's not worth losing everything I love." Ale's response was delayed, but true."No...it never is." Hanum added. "Does..it hurt?" The Stellan hesitantly asked. "Yes." plain and simple. "How does it work?" The Stellan awaited an answer but it didn't come. "Will I die?" "Oh, sweet child...you're already dead." The old woman stood before waving her hand for Aleja to follow.

The Vampire kept her cool per usual. She was extremely nervous but she knew that this is what needed to be done for the sake of her family's validation. She never thought the day would come where she sought her fathers approval. Alas, here she was ridding herself of something she had grown to appreciate and perhaps even love. Aleja followed the old woman who revealed a table in a distant room at the back of the shop. Aleja climbed upon it and braced herself for what was to come. It didn't take the woman long to gather her tools, mainly because there weren't any aside from a few vials of blood. Ale didn't dare to look at the labels. She was afraid that her curiosity would result in feelings that she didn't want to embrace in this moment. "Drink this." The woman said, putting the vial of blood to her lips. Aleja felt herself slipping out of consciousness until finally all she saw was black.
